À propos de cet hébergement
2 Bed in Govilon (oc-u32754)
Set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, just 3 miles from Abergavenny, this charming stone cottage offers the perfect space for families and friends looking to make brand-new memories together. There are plenty of walks and bike rides to enjoy straight from the doorstep. Take on a challenging ascent of Blorenge, go on a mountain biking adventure around Sugarloaf Mountain or enjoy a more leisurely stroll or bike ride along the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal or the Clydach Gorge cycle path. Alternatively, drive to car parks high up on Sugarloaf (6.5 miles) or Blorenge (4.5 miles) where waymarked trails lead you to the summits and reward you with exceptional views. For more relaxing pursuits, head to Abergavenny (3 miles), a delightful market town, rich in Welsh culture and home to an annual food festival, along with a generous selection of foodie hotspots open throughout the year. In the opposite direction along the Usk Valley, Crickhowell (6.5 miles) is a beautiful riverside town with many independent shops and traditional inns to explore. Nearby Blaenavon (5 miles) offers a fascinating glimpse into the area’s industrial past, with the Big Pit National Coal Museum and Blaenavon Ironworks offering immersive experiences.
This welcoming home-from-home is full of character, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere for groups to relax and reconnect. Enter via a spacious hallway into the open-plan living area, where a lounge, kitchen and dining space flow together seamlessly. On cooler evenings, throw a log or two on the wood burner and sink into the large L-shaped sofa – the perfect setup for a night of conversation or a family-favourite box set on the Smart TV. Around the corner, a well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for home cooking, while the dining table with bench-style seating is ideal for hearty breakfasts and leisurely evening meals. Upstairs, a hallway leads to two bright and attractive bedrooms, each furnished with fresh white linens, ample storage and smart TV's. Enjoy a comfortable night's sleep in the rustic king-size master bedroom or the cosy twin room which both benefit from high ceilings and exposed wooden beams. A contemporary family bathroom completes the upper floor.
To the rear of the cottage, the enclosed garden is a peaceful haven for summertime relaxation, set against a backdrop of green fields and far-reaching mountain views. Accessed via the open-plan living space, the garden includes both a lawn and a patio area, complete with outdoor furniture and a charcoal Weber BBQ. Private parking for two cars and a secure brick bike shed with plenty of space for four bikes is available in the courtyard just outside the property.
