Maybank house - a gem in scotland

The property was exactly as promised both spacious, yet cosy and welcoming, like a home from home. Its location is amazing allowing access to the canal so we could put our kayaks in the water and being close enough to local amenities for those forgotten purchases. The garden allowed us to enjoy the fantastic weather as well as to view the local wildlife with deer roaming in the adjacent fields. All in all a fantastic place to visit with lots of local attractions to keep you entertained , i would definitely recommend this house.

Fantastic views.

Great location. Drive from Fort William worth it for Nevis Range view. Nice welcome pack especially the fresh eggs. For some reason House set off allergies for the family. Maybe a prior pet? Previous guest had been smoking in one bedrooom. Made me feel ill and sleep with Windows open in November. Wifi not working. As advertised Contacted owners two mobile contacts. No reply. Not good for teenager tantrums....

The house dose have pets in so if you have a family member with allergies may be better to book a house that dose not take pets. Was not aware some one had been smoking in the house so sorry it's clearly marked its a no smoking home but unfortunately people don't always respect other peoples property. Sorry the wifi was not working it turned out someone had cut the cable in the house and it was fixed. Not sure how we did not get your calls regarding it. Sorry if these things spoiled your visit. Great location, stunning views

The location of the house is stunning with far reaching views do the Caledonian canal and Ben Nevis. Fort William is only a short drive away for all the amenities that you need. The house was clean and well presented, but there are some areas that could do with some modernisation, this didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the stay. Only downside was the neighbours dog occasionally visiting the garden!

A wonderful place to stay!

We all had an amazing time at this property. It was very clean, beds were so comfortable and living area had wonderful views of the canal and Ben Nevis in the background. The kids didn't want to leave! It was an ideal base for us to travel around the Highlands and local amenities were not so far away. We all loved the peace and quiet away from our town/city lives. Would love to book again next year.

The perfect group getaway!

Maybank provided a wonderful stay for a group of us to relax, and was a treat to return back to after the beautiful walks we took. (Would highly recommend the Nevis Gorge/Steall Falls walk!) Warm and comfortable, and the host was very communicative and accommodating. Very happy!

Loved it

I have rental several homes and this hands down was the best one we have ever rented. Location was beautiful. It was hard to leave to go do things. We all wanted to sit in the conservatory and read. Kitchen well stocked, including fresh farm eggs and milk. Event bedroom was well furnished including toys for my granddaughter. We had rented a car which I think was necessary for this location but well worth it.
