The cottage also has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there's off road parking for two cars and shared use of the owners' beautiful landscape gardens. Alwent Mill is ideal for a couple or small family with plenty of interesting places to visit and explore close by.

The pretty Teesdale village of Staindrop is situated only a few minutes' drive from Raby Castle, with the village itself offering many interesting shops, pubs and cafes set round its long village green. The popular market town of Barnard Castle is only 5 miles away, with its castle, the Bowes Museum and a range of shops and tea rooms.
