The location was perfect, close to the beach and stores.We felt really welcome with the bottle of cider and madeleines waiting for us. The rooms are big, each have their own bathroom.The kitchen has everything we needed.The house is very well decorated with a coastal inspiration.I recommend the house to everyone wishing to visit Normandy.

What a fabulous, quiet home hidden away, yet moments from the beach and busy main street. Comfortable beds, hot showers and an amazingly well-equipped kitchen make this rental a must-stay. We enjoyed BBQ dinners eaten alfresco in the courtyard and took full advantage of the washer & dryer. Natalie’s instructions contained all the info we needed. It’s a perfect home base for day trips to the D Day beaches, Mont Saint Michel or a cheese tour down to Camembert and Livarot. We’d highly recommend this home to anyone wishing to spend time in Normandy!

Great views of the ocean, really well equipped home from home with all bedding and towels supplied. Perfectly situated in the town and close to many of the WWII beaches and museums. No parking at the property but within a 10 min walk for free car park.

It was a perfect location, very private but close to everything in Town. We would definitely stay there again. We were happy to find free parking down the main street. The shop owner by the entrance was very friendly and was happy to answer our questions.

Eat Stay

Ideally located close to Gold Beach and in the center of the D-Day landing beaches and battle sites that need to be visited. Was very good value for money but the toilets/bathroom locations were a little challenging. Overall a great place to stay.

Great location

Perfect location for visiting the Normandie coast sites. Beach is visible - mere steps away shops and museums walkable. Quiet neighborhood (at least in the off season). Comfortable beds. I would not describe as luxury but the price per night is fair for the condition of the accommodations. Would stay again.

Cottage by the sea.

Very cute cottage by the sea with room for the whole family. Central to D-Day invasion sites and the Bayeau Tapestry.

A welcoming lovely town and great apartment.

Our communication with the property manager was excellent, she made sure that we had all the information needed in advance and responded to any questions immediately. The property was in a great location for seeing the d- day sights.

This place is charming and spacious. Would stay here again. The host left us a bottle if chamtand snacks , which was a nice treat after a long drive.

Nice “beachy” home. Must be in good physical condition as there are three flights of stairs. There are two toilet rooms but they are not connected to a bedroom. The top bedroom is one story up from the toilet so it can be challenging to descend during the night. The town is cute and walkable.

November at the Beach

The town was a ghost town with a majority of the commerce and many homes shut for the season. But that meant no lines at the few places that were open. Our visit’s focus was the D Day history and we found those areas open and welcoming.

Cold rainy and beautiful

Great location, wonderful loved home. Hostess was thoughtful. Just a few ideas…. we went in January the whole town was closed. So if you go that time of year in the off season make sure you have car. Bayuex is a 20 minute drive.

The property was great EXCEPT there was no mention of the number of steps you climb to get to the bedrooms. We were all over 70 years of age and had suitcases to get to the bedrooms. The second set of steps leading to the master bedroom are steep and to get to the bathroom (toilette) on the second level was problematic. The area is lovely and the host great at helping us find it (our GPS was close but not accurate. I think they need to include STEPS in the description!

We originally had a hard time finding the place but host was gracious and kind and helped us. We went in November and lots of things were closed nearby but it is a fabulous property.

The top floor bedroom is by far the nicest part of this apartment: lovely skylights with view of the ocean and a very comfortable kind sized bed. There’s also a nice folding grab and a changing table for a baby. Note that there’s no toilet for this bedroom, though. However, overall property has a rather sad, shabby vibe. We felt that that more attention given to routine maintenance and a general freshening up (including the courtyard and the laundry room) would make it a lovely place to stay.

Adorable home!

Adorable home! Well stocked except no laundry detergent- a small but necessary convenience i believe the host should supply especially when the town is barely open to find it ourselves. Natalie originally told us we could check out early afternoon but sent us a message at 10pm the night before removing the late check out. We were lucky enough to get the message before we went to sleep but it was very inconvenient timing.

The Room with a View

Sp happy we stayed here for our visit to the beaches of Normandy. We only stayed a few nights but could easily have spent a week here. This place is huge and could accommodate way more than just the 3 of us. Plenty of bathrooms and full washer and dryer on-site. Parking for us was not a problem. Location was right in the heart of Gold Beach with an amazing view of the ruins of Mulberry B. You are so close to the beach you can hear the waves crashing. This makes for great sleeping if you like that. Communication with the host was efficient even though we never met her in person. The special gift she left was a very nice touch and much appreciated. We are already planning our next trip with friends.
