1 Bed in Stewarton (oc-c44699)
Bursting with charm and character, this traditional stone-built cottage has been renovated into a contemporary country retreat, perfect for couples and small families keen to explore the glorious Ayrshire countryside and coastline. There are plenty of scenic walks to explore across this stunning farmland setting. Pick up some fabulous local produce from the shops, cafes and restaurants in the sleepy town of Stewarton, less than a mile away. Located in wooded countryside in the Irvine Valley, the town of Galston (10.5 miles) is home to plenty of historic sites, including the magnificent Barr Castle and Loudon Kirk. Hidden inside the Ayr Gorge Woodland, formed around a magnificent red sandstone canyon, Peden's Cove (18.5 miles), a set of steps carved into the red sandstone cliffs, is a visit well worth making. The golden sands of Irvine Beach and Troon Beach can both be reached within 18 miles.
Kick off your walking boots and hang up your coats in the welcoming entrance hallway before leading the way into the light-filled lounge. A large set of patio doors not only embraces delightful views of your countryside surroundings but also provides direct access to the patio and garden, seamlessly blending indoor/outdoor living. This space offers true versatility, as the sofa can be converted into a double bed to accommodate up to two additional guests. At the heart of this home-away-from-home, you’ll find the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which combines a contemporary finish with homely touches that set the scene for true relaxation. Cook up a storm with your local produce, plan your next adventure seated around the dining table, or simply hunker down on the plush sofa and flick on the Smart TV. Enjoying the same charm and cosy ambience as the rest of this bolthole, the serene double bedroom promises a peaceful rest. A stylish shower room and separate WC complete this rural retreat.
Step out into the private garden to make the most of your tranquil setting. Gather on the lawn for picnics and garden games, wine and dine alfresco on the patio, and sink into the six-person hot tub for late-night stargazing amongst the bubbles. You’ll find private parking for four cars, making your arrival and day trips easy.
