4 Bed in Holywell (oc-82276)

Elevated location in North Wales overlooking the River Dee estuary. 2.5 miles from Holywell, home to the world-famous 7th century St Winefride’s Holy Well; one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. Enjoy a round of golf at Pennant Park, go to the local riding school, visit the smallest town in Wales Caerwys or drive a couple of miles to the sandy beach at Talacre. It’s a walkers’ paradise with the Wales Coastal Path, the Pennant Walk, Offa’s Dyke and the Clwydian Range nearby. Visit Mold with its street market, annual food festival and Theatr Clwyd, discover the historic town of Denbigh and the World Heritage Site of Conwy, or the cities of Chester and Liverpool, all offer lots of eateries, shops and attractions.

Approached by a narrow country lane, with fabulous estuary views as you arrive at this stunning detached property. Park the car and walk into this creatively designed 19th-century farmhouse, full of period charm, interesting features and pleasant surprises. The first room is the old bakery with an original bread oven, bowl and quarry tiles, now perfect as the boot room with a handy separate WC. Kick-off your boots and hang up your coats as continue your journey into the stylish kitchen. It is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and all the thoughtful little extras, there’s plenty of space to rustle up a meal with purchases from your travels. The large breakfast bar is a lovely space to enjoy morning coffee whilst looking through the cookery books to inspire your palate and menu for everyone to enjoy. The next room is the cosy snug with comfortable sofas, Smart TV, log burner and exposed beams creating a cosy room to gather around and plan your holiday activities. Continue round to the magnificent dining room with the dining table taking centre stage with a feature fireplace, sideboard and interesting artworks. After a jolly meal together, retire to the inviting lounge with a sumptuous corner sofa, TV and DVD, feature fireplace with electric fire and French doors leading out to the patio and garden, with fabulous estuary views beyond the garden. This is a lovely room to relax in catching up on each other’s news, snuggling up and watching a film or opening the doors and listening to birdsong. Upstairs you will find the inviting library landing, and three lovely bedrooms to choose from, the king-size, super-king-size (zip-and-link which can be made up as a twin on request) and the cosy twin room. Also on this floor is the stylish bathroom with bath, shower and WC. This house has another surprise in store, the fourth bedroom is accessed from outside in the garden with its own separate stairs leading to a delightful double bedroom with a bistro table and chairs by the window, just perfect for a coffee before joining the rest of your friends and family for breakfast. This bedroom also boasts an ensuite shower and WC. Every room in this house offers lovely views to wake up to in this most idyllic of settings.

The house sits in the centre of the attractive gardens with the front being laid mostly to lawn with established trees, shrubs, plants and fabulous views over the fields and estuary. The patio by the lounge is a lovely space to enjoy afternoon tea at the table and chairs, embracing the view and listening to birdsong. The enclosed garden boasts an outdoor kitchen with gas BBQ, sink and corner sun deck, alongside the wonderful hot tub and patio with table and chairs.
