Residentie De Zeester is located in Scherpenisse, on Tholen Island and right beside the Oosterschelde. For us, this is one of the most special places to experience the quieter side of Zeeland.

Tholen is a beautiful part of Zeeland where space and tranquillity are still easy to find. The landscape is shaped by dykes, wide-open polders, small villages and the ever-present waters of the Oosterschelde. It is a wonderful place to slow down and enjoy the outdoors.

From Residentie De Zeester, the Oosterschelde is quite literally on your doorstep. Start your morning with a walk along the water, go out for a day of stand-up paddleboarding, sailing or diving, or simply sit back and enjoy the view. The water changes throughout the day, making the scenery feel different every time you look outside.

There is also plenty to discover by bike. Follow the dykes, explore the villages around Tholen and enjoy the characteristic Zeeland landscape at your own pace. Nature lovers can discover De Pluimpot nature reserve, while food lovers will enjoy a visit to nearby Yerseke, famous for its oysters and mussels.

And you do not even have to leave the building for a good meal. Brasserie De Zeester is located on the ground floor of the residence and is a lovely place to enjoy a coffee, drink, lunch or dinner while taking in the views. Please note that the brasserie is closed on Mondays.

For a day of shopping, culture or a relaxed lunch on a terrace, Goes and Bergen op Zoom are also within easy reach.

What we love most about Residentie De Zeester is the combination of water, space and comfort. You can spend the day exploring Zeeland and return to a peaceful place beside the Oosterschelde. Or simply stay close to home, enjoy the view from your terrace and let the day unfold at its own pace.

Appartement De Oester is a wonderful choice for those who love spending time outdoors. The spacious balcony offers plenty of room to enjoy breakfast or lunch together or have a relaxed dinner in the evening. With a comfortable lounge set, a dining table with chairs and an electric barbecue, all you really need to decide is what you feel like doing that day.

The Oosterschelde is literally just around the corner. From Residentie De Zeester, you can walk straight towards the water for a refreshing stroll or simply enjoy some fresh sea air. During the appropriate season, you can even collect your own oysters in the area and then prepare them on the electric barbecue at the apartment. A wonderful way to bring the Zeeland experience right to your own balcony.

The location is also particularly appealing to water sports enthusiasts. A well-known diving spot on the Oosterschelde is less than 500 metres away. You can also bring your own boat, park the trailer at Residentie De Zeester and launch your boat here free of charge.
