We absolutely loved the cottage for its fabulous view and proximity to the lake, as well as the general aesthetics and immaculate condition. The owners, who were next door were friendly and helpful. We hope to return!

Relaxfull

Absolutely beautiful, a place to relax and unwind. Wonderful lake view, the place was clean and had everything you needed. Enjoyed the visit of the Loon family, ducks and a bald eagle. Definitely looking forward to returning again.

Peaceful retreat with outstanding customer service and exquisitely clean property

The serenity and beauty of this place on the lake soothes one's soul with tranquility. Cleanest property we have ever stayed at. Hosts are outstanding in their customer service. Excellent mid coast location to explore Boothbay region. Cottage itself is awesome with great amenities. Difficult to leave and can't wait to stay again!

Definitely off the beaten path (which we like). Clean and well equipped

Darling 2 bedroom cottage on a very pretty lake. Close enough to town for groceries and dining. Enjoyed the peaceful call of the loons in the morning. Upstairs access is by a spiral staircase - your group should be aware.

Lots of thoughtful touches

We found Wildwood to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The view of the lake was lovely, and we enjoyed the ducks swimming near the dock, and the loons who kept the girls company when they kayaked. We were impressed by thoughtful touches such as light afghans on the couches and first aid kits in the bathrooms.

Peaceful charmer on the lake

Our visit was a Maine dream come true. The house was lovely! Sparkling clean, stunning view, and completely equipped, it was everything we hoped for. The hosts were gracious, attentive and available. Given the bonus of its quiet location and the serenity of the surroundings, we give this home the highest recommendation.

Maine Stay

The location and view was excellent! We’ve stayed in a different area every year for the past 8 years. This place definitely needs to be updated. The living room furniture was faded and stained. The carpet was stained. Overall overpriced for how dated it was.

A true slice of paradise

My 8yo and I spend all year dreaming about our Maine vacation. Both times we've rented there, the cottage has been immaculate, and the hosts respond to every request, not that we have many since they think of EVERYTHING. We love the lake, the canoe, the sky, the fire pit, grill, outdoor deck, night time sky, sound of the loons and it is just the most relaxing comfortable place on earth. We feel so blessed to have found this place and can't wait for next year!!!!!!!

Slice of paradise...

This is our third year at Wildwood and each year we have extended our stay by a week! The cottage is perfect - beautiful setting, well equipped, and very comfortable. The hosts are wonderful. While there is plenty to enjoy at the cottage and on the lake, the Damariscotta area has so much to offer. It has become our home away from home! We love it!

Damariscotta Cottage

This is a lovely secluded cottage on a small lake surrounded by wildlife. We enjoyed listening to the loons and admiring the beautiful lake. There are nice hikes nearby and the town of Damariscotta has a few delicious restaurants. Great place for a relaxing vacation!

Wonderful stay!

We had an amazing week at this wonderful house! At first we were a bit worried when we realized there was no ac but quickly saw how the breeze coming off the lake along with the fans in every room cooled things off very nicely. Some evenings we were even chilly and I had to grab a sweatshirt. Myself, my husband, our 2 boys and our dog had the best time hanging out on the dock, swimming, kayaking and fishing. We also loved the convenient location to town with all of the cute shops and great restaurants. We also took drives into Boothbay and Freeport, both were very dog friendly! This house provided the best of both worlds for us- the peaceful nature and serenity of the lake (watching the loons in the morning was my favorite) and the closeness of town- a win win for my family. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We were all so sad to leave and are already talking about coming back next summer.

Very relaxing.

Lovely waterfront home. Wrap around deck, with nice breezes off the lake. Clean and comfortable, plenty of room for a family of 4. Washer/dryer and 2 bathrooms were very convenient. Would stay again.
