Ceci est un studio, avec un lit queen, cuisine avec deux plaques de cuisson, micro-ondes, grille-pain, cafetière et 4 pi cu. Ce studio est situé face à la rue, dans un petit quadruplex, avec deux studios face à l'eau, et deux donnant sur la rue. Situé juste à côté du coeur du quartier historique des affaires de Matlacha, vous êtes à distance de marche de tous les magasins, galeries d'art et restaurants que Matlacha a à offrir, mais juste assez retiré pour profiter de la nature en action.
Marcher à quelques mètres de la cour arrière pour profiter de la vue sur l'eau, le barbecue à gaz, la pêche ou le kayak. Deux kayaks pour une personne inclus dans votre hébergement.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. However, I have no control over parking. The town of Matlacha is a historic little fishing town, with a small two lane road traveling through the island with small properties, most of which used to be fishing shacks on each side of the road, with water behind them. Leaving limited parking. We are actually lucky to have a parking spot for each room. Therefore, although the area is tight, you will have room to park.

As Described

This place is as described. It’s a bay front efficiency. Place was clean. Was good price and location for my needs as solo traveler. Place is essentially one room with a bathroom and small kitchen area. Didn’t stay long enough to make use of the kayaks or laundry facilities. Only downside was that this unit faces the thoroughfare between Pine Island and the mainland, so traffic was a bit noisy which may pose a problem for light sleepers. Overall, happy with my stay.

You get what you pay for

You'd think, from the description, that this is a bayfront efficiency. The unit actually faces a busy highway - which is 15 feet away. Noisy, smelling of stale cigarettes with a bed that is very uncomfortable. Sharon was great and the water pressure was fantastic. Those are the good points. And, of course, the price was right - although I'd pay the extra $ and find another place if I had it to do over again.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. My descriptions are accurate, not misleading, you booked a streetside room for $85/night on a busy two-lane road, not a highway, during our busiest time of the year, of course, there is traffic noise. You should have splurged and booked one of our waterfront cottages, they are quiet, but they cost more, you chose and booked our lowest price room. However, we do not allow smoking, so there is no smoke smell, never had a complaint about odors in any of our rooms, in fact we get compliments all the time about how clean the rooms are. The bed you mention as old is only a year old, I get compliments on how comfortable our beds are often, just scroll through the reviews, you'll see them. You had a pet which you did not inform us about, you rearranged the furniture without putting it back, scraping the hardwood floor in the process. You rifled through our laundry room and took a roll-away bed, without asking permission, a bed that we normally have a charge to use, but I waived the fee for you. You said it was because you snored and your wife couldn't sleep with you, not that the bed was uncomfortable. You left the room an absolute smelly mess, you broke the wine key and the blow dryer and you complained the entire time about everything, trying to get even more of a discount. You are not welcome back.

Perfect location for enjoying Matlacha and Pine Island

Serenity Bay is a great place to stay as you spend time on Matlacha. We walked up and down the road, visiting shops and watching the bird life. We had morning coffee on the dock facing the mangroves. I wish we had stayed longer.

Great stay

Perfect location, walking distance to almost everything in Matlacha, but so relaxing just sitting out back right on the water. Clean and comfortable. The property isn’t new, not much in Matlacha is, but the owner is slowly upgrading/refurbishing. It is perfectly Matlacha - would definitely stay again

Great view and location

Beachy cottage...comfortable studio for two. Very clean, well equiped. Very nice bay view from the back of the property. Excellent location, close to all the shops. Great water pressure in the shower! Waterfront restaurant across the street, less than a block away, best fried mahi mahi sandwich. I'd stay here again... The book with recommended things to do was very entertaining :)

Great stay

Great stay for a great price. Beautiful view, fire pit right next to the water. The space is clean and the decor is fun. Shops and restaurants within walking distance and Pine Island a quick drive or bike ride away. There are kayaks and beach chairs and an umbrella for use. There is a great view from the park.

Serenity Bay

The cottage was very clean and the view of the bay was beautiful. The cottages facing the road are a bit noisy with the traffic. However, the cost of the cottages is very inexpensive and suited our needs for the trip. Overall, it was a great stay.

The road is very busy during the winter months, there is a lot more people here. There is road noise unless you stay on the waterside.

Sharon was extremely easy to book through. She got back to us very quickly and the communication was impeccable. The check in and check out process was so easy. we loved the town and our stay on the water and we used the free kayaks. Great trip!

Location location

Location is ideal for a visit to the town of Matlacha. No need to drive to town if you're willing and able to walk. The courtyard behind the property is very nice for relaxing to read a book, drink a glass of wine, or just drift away while watching the water. Just bring light layers or bug spay as the no-see'ums (biting gnats) and mosquitos can be brutal.

cottage at Matlacha

loved that kayaks were available at no additional cost, waterfront was available to sit at and enjoy, kitchen essentials were provided. we ate out once per day at the local fabulous restaurants, and could make what we wanted until we left. very close to great shops and restaurants, thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
