This wonderful 3 bedroom house minutes away from the beach in a private community was the best! Very nice neighborhood, house has everything you need for a normal day to day living and being close to the sound is a plus at sunsets. House was super clean, check in was a breeze and there was plenty of beach toys and chairs. The host was super reachable and helped out with a few questions almost immediately. I’m not sure I need to look for a better place next time I visit. Thanks!!

Our first time to the OBX & how beautiful it truly is, especially Sunny’s spot! Thank you Joyce for renting your place to us. It really has everything you could hope for
. Comfortable, spacious, clean, convenient to get to the Village Beach Club and the Food Lion directly behind us. The soundside park/ fishing pier is a nice 5-10 min walk; great sunsets and fishing spot. We definitely look forward to staying here again

Sunny Spot is an amazing vacation home. Joyce was the best owner. She reached out to us as needed and her home was stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing week away. My family loved the hot tub, easy access to the pool and ocean and a nice walk to the sound pier. Our week went by too fast!

Look no further

I did a lot of research finding a great place for our little family (kids ages 3 and 7). This place exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, nicely decorated with a beach theme and very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. Joyce (owner) was very easy to communicate with. The house was SO well stocked. The owners really thought of every little detail to make our stay great and easy. They provided all linens, towels, beach toys/towels, paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, and sooo much more. They have a beautiful outdoor shower and grill. The kids loved the “kids room” with the bunk beds and kids toys. They had a pack and play with sheets. They had extra linens and throw blankets. They even had an air fryer. They provided a welcome bag with treats which was soo sweet. The location was great—in a golf course community in a little cul de sac. The kids rode there bikes and scooters everywhere including to the grocery store and duck donuts (a must). The beach club was a short drive or a 20min walk away. You do have to cross a busy rode to get there but they have a nice cross walk. I felt very safe walking there and across the street with my littles. There was a great bike/walking path across the road on the way to the beach/pool club. The pool club was great. Great bar type food and drinks. The beach access was very easy from there. Don’t miss the aquarium!

First OBX trip in the books!

This was our first trip to OBX. After browsing through so many reviews, we settled on Sonny's spot. We were glad we did! The location is close to everything... groceries, dining out, and several tourist locations. The beach/pool access was a short few minute drive. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed walking to the pier every night to watch the beautiful sunset. We appreciated all the amenities this home offered. Joyce had beach toys, mats, beach wagon, beach chairs, umbrella, etc which would have taken so much room in the car for our drive from home. Kitchen was well stocked as well. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to OBX!!!

Great mini vaca

It was a wonderful stay. It was a short vacation, but we packed in a lot of different activities. We were able to go parasailing and even got my mom to go parasailing with us. We went to the aquarium saw Roanoke Island went to the museum and spent a lot of time playing on the beach.

Absolutely perfect

The home was just perfect. It had everything we needed and then some

Warm and comfortable

We brought our 16 month old and furry baby with us and everyone had a great time. The dog loved the toys and the baby loved scaling the stairs. The house was so well equipped that we didn’t need anything additional except food. It’s been lovely and we will be back!

First time OBXers - a wonderful intro to the area!

We had a wonderful week long stay at Sunny’s Spot. I still can’t get over how perfect the location is, as it was our first time in the area, very central which is what I was hoping for. The pool access (& private beach access) (across the street, walkable but super easy to drive, which we did) was wonderful and made it easy for us to have a relaxing beach vacation! The house was well equipped, and even had some puzzles and games which we enjoyed when tropical storm Idalia forced us indoors for a day of our stay. Truly a bring your clothes and nothing else kind of vacation, as these hosts truly thought of everything. The walkability to a small shopping center with a Food Lion, Fresh Market, Duck Donuts, etc added to the convenience factor, and we also enjoyed the welcome book that the hoses left with other tips and restaurant suggestions. A+ communication from the host as well, especially with the weather twist. Can’t recommend enough!! I could go on. Thank you for a great vacation home to cap off our summer!

Cozy and fun

The property had everything that we needed for a great family vacation. Access to the pool and beach via the clubhouse was fantastic. The personal touches of snacks for us and treats for the dog were so thoughtful. The floorplan of the home allowed for privacy when needed with plenty of space to gather together as well. The accessibility for wheelchair is a bonus for those who may need it. Joyce was very great with communication all along the way.

Great stay!

Really enjoyed this location - just as advertised. Owners were in constant communication, very helpful with lots of recommendations. Beach Club (pool and beach access) was a HUGE advantage and glad we had it during the busy week. House close to all amenities - within 5 minute drive to most places like grocery store and restaurants. Bedrooms were plenty big, kitchen well stocked, and outdoor shower was a bonus! Living area had nice comfortable seating - the couch and recliner had lots of naps ;) Also, not having to pack beach chairs and toys and umbrellas was great; owner had all those things. Overall, highly recommend this property. Would definitely consider staying here in the future.

Lovely home, well appointed

This house is as described in walkable golf community with shuttle to and from beach/ pool club that my daughter and friends took advantage of. Everything clean and worked. Massive shower in the master bath (not a necessity but so massive worth noting). We enjoyed beach days and good Wi-Fi on the days we worked.

We have been travelling to the Outer Banks for many years since moving from Colorado to North Carolina in the late 80's. We fulfilled a pre-retirement dream when we purchased this property in late 2017. We have invested in improving the property and now are grateful to be able to share it with other vacationers who we are confident will come to love the Outer Banks as much as we do. We feel so blessed to be able to share this amazing area with our children and grandchildren! Our dogs are very much a part of our family so we are happy that we can invite other families to bring their 4-legged family members on vacation with them!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We chose this property primarily because of the location. The Villages and specifically Nags Head Links is truly a community. It is so very different and superior to those areas where the houses are in open areas with no real connection to each other. Here, where 35% of the homes are owned by year-around residents, we feel a real connection to our neighbors. The Soundside parks at sunset are a beautiful gathering spot where neighbors meet and share conversations with other neighbors. The security of living in a community is also a real plus. Mostly, you cannot beat the location, being so close to shopping, medical facilities and of course the Village Beach Club and of course the water!

We have tried to provide all the comforts of home and welcome input form our guests as to how we can better furnish and equip the property. The furniture, beds and layout are all set up with comfort and convenience in mind. There is a great selection of books, DVD's, games and puzzles available if our guest want to stay in and rest up from all the great activities available in Nags Head and surrounding area.
