Great location for families.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Redheaded Mermaid was wonderful—we would stay again in a heartbeat! The house and backyard are even better than the pictures and description. The beach is close, although crossing the dunes can be challenging with toddlers or older adults. Overall, it was a fantastic five-star stay!

Our grandkids loved the heated pool. They spent hours in it, as did we. The house was clean. The host was quick to communicate and quickly took care of a few minor issues.

Loved this house!

It was perfect for our family and toddler. It was a little chilly during our stay so the heated pool saved us to still get our daughter some water time! Anything we needed the host were very accommodating. We can’t wait to book again.

What a great spot! Full of amenities and dog friendly easy walk to beach appreciated the dolly to transport beach toys and chairs. Heated pool and hot tub was great for cool days. When time to go inside pool table and video games was a great way to hangout. Great stay would go back!

Everything was there for what we needed. We had a few issues with the fire alarm and thermostat but when notified, they took care of the issue quickly We would stay again!!!!

Kitchen was well equipped, much better than other properties we’ve stayed in. Comfy beds and couch for movie nights. Lots of games/activities for the whole family. Love the spacious dining room table. Would have loved to use the pool but we were there in off season, hot tub was great. Also good area for walking/running/dog walking. Just watch out for the prickly burrs that can get stuck in dog paws.

We had a great stay. House was very clean. Kitchen cabinets and all light switches were labeled for convenience. The kids enjoyed the heated pool since the weather was a little cooler. The house is stocked with games (arcade, pool table, mini golf, etc.) that the kids enjoyed as well. Would definitely recommend!

Overall a wonderful stay. Communication was outstanding. The pool and game room was a hit with the kids. Beach access was excellent. Location was great. Beds and linens were relatively clean but one of the quilts appeared to have blood or wine stains burnt in. Not a huge deal. The only glaring inconvenience was the grill setup. There are two relatively small charcoal grills located in separate areas. One was on the side of the house, the other in the gated pool area. This made it difficult to manage a chicken barbecue for 10 people in that I had to run back and forth between both grills. My recommendation would be to invest in one large grill unit in a centralized location. We would absolutely recommend the mermaid and we would stay there again, but would suggest packing a portable grill if you have room.

My family enjoyed our stay at this property. We were here April 10th thru the 13th of 2026. The property is equipped with all that you need. From the outside grills to the kitchen appliances, every essential need was thoughtfully provided. Although the weather wasn’t too favorable, we did enjoy water play. The jacuzzi and heated pool was most enjoyable. The temperatures remained perfect throughout the duration of our stay. If you are a worry freak like me, you want to make sure everything is in place when occupying someone else’s home. The thoughtful written instructions and pictures were great tools used to keep us on track. There are so many things to do in the area and great restaurants. The gaming activities were a win win for my teenaged grandson and the adults too. We definitely enjoyed our stay, and would love to return in the warmer seasons.
