Great Family House

The house was a very nice place to stay. The rooms were spacious for our families. Our kids enjoyed shearing the room with the bunk beds and the two teenagers enjoyed the beach room. Most of the time was spent on the back patio watching the ocean. Access to the beach was very convenient. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great vacation

We loved our stay at this unit. There was sufficient space for 6 adults (parents, 2 adult children, and their spouses). The kitchen was properly outfitted and you didn't get the sense that they raided the local thrift store to furnish the unit. It felt cared for. There were even beach items available to use and an extra refrigerator. I would recommend a stay here. The only downsides, (and they were minor) were that the floors could have been mopped better and you can't see the beach from the living area balcony. The top balcony had good visibility of the beach. Overall, a great place to stay!

Quarantined covid19-2020 Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was a bit disappointed in the cleaning. The bathrooms still had hair in sinks, bath tubs and around the toilets. Not sure if the 2 bathrooms on the 3rd floor were even cleaned. Was especially disturbing when my 4 year grandson pulled hair from the drain while giving him a bath the first night. The coffee pot still had some coffee in it. So I felt the need to wash all the dishes before using. I also walked around in white socks and the floors were very clearly not cleaned prior to our arrival. It would be nice if renters had the option of hiring our own cleaning company to ensure that it was cleaned up to my own standards. The view was amazing from the rental. I have been coming on and off to Atlantic beach and staying only at tar landing since 1987. I like the community and the privacy you experience coming here. Just hire a better cleaning company.

We are terribly sorry that you arrived at a dirty condo. I wish we had received a call after your arrival, we would have sent the cleaner back to the property to thoroughly clean it to your standards. Tar Landing is great complex in a secluded location in Atlantic Beach. Please let us know if we can help you in finding your vacation spot in 2021.

Week at the beach

As our family grew, we needed a condo that offered more bedrooms and bathrooms. Tar Landing has been the perfect solution! The oceanfront location and gorgeous view are the cherry on top! (The kids love the pool and basketball court, too!)

Great location and plenty of room for gathering.

This was a great property, and very convenient for a beach vacation. Lots of room for all ages. The owners have done a fairly good job of keeping things up to date and in good condition. It was also nice to have some boogie boards a small beach umbrella, a grill, and other beach items available for use. Understanding that it was off season, there was a crew working all week on prepping for painting, and replacing siding panels. That was fine but had a few issues. For 2 days, we couldn't get into the garage due to ladders in the way. The other issue was they had their generators on ALL DAY. Instead of hearing the waves hitting the shore, we got to here the generators ALL DAY. How about having the crew either put the generators on the back side of the complex, or let them use power from the condos.

Lot’s of room for group of ten. When we arrived at condo used bed linens and towels were still there which surprised us during these COVID times. The clean linens were no where to be found in the unit. We called C&G and the linen folks were there within an hour to remove used linens and deliver clean ones.

The location is perfect, with easy access on and off the beach. We loved having three decks and our own outdoor shower for rinsing off salt and sand. Best of all, the view is amazing and serene! Sweet Spot near Fort Macon

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a lovely week at this condo in early July. The layout is very efficient as well as comfortable and roomy, the beds were great. You have everything you need in the kitchen for cooking and space for all the things you bring. Beach access is a short walk down the boardwalk and over the dune. We loved having the pool for those afternoons when you just want a take a dip. If you have teens you'll appreciate the large bedroom on the lower level. Be aware that there are stairs to get to the main level ( there is a bedroom on that floor). Great location by Fort Macon, we enjoyed visiting the park and liked that there was less traffic at that end. We'll recommend this place to others!

The beds in the basement were not made nor were the sheets off, so we weren’t sure if someone had slept on them and they had just forgotten to be cleaned. We did not use those beds.
