Ferme de quatre chambres et 3 salles de bain sur 30 hectares paisibles entourĂ©s de plus de 400 acres protĂ©gĂ©s par le San Juan Island Preservation Trust et la San Juan County Land Bank. October Farm est un cadre unique sur l'Ăźle de San Juan. We loved this place!! It was great for our multigenerational reunion. The house is wonderful, the farm is beautiful, and the animals are very entertaining to watch! Joe was very responsive and helpful. We did arrange for a tour of the animal sanctuary - that was great! We did ride bikes from the property once into Friday Harbor. That works for experienced riders and tires that can handle gravel.

Graduation and Birthdays

The house was an exciting and relaxing place to be. The Graduate thinks that he would like to open a practice on this island and the 8 year olds did not want to leave.Julie was wonderful with the kids allowing them to assist withh feeding the animals.Shawn was the perfect host for the wine tasting - it allowed all of us to experience an old but new wine with how it is processed - Functional Med Graduate greatly enjoyed this.

We LOVE staying at October Farm. It is one of the most peaceful places on earth! Everything about October Farm is lovely, calm, beautiful, and easy. Getting into the house is a breeze, communication is easy, and Joe is always helpful and flexible. I wish that we could stay for a month!

Amazing Stay on October Farm

This was a very special vacation with my family. We ALL loved it. So different from living in a city, like we do. The house was well appointed with everything we might need and very comfortable. So relaxing. And we enjoyed seeing the day to day workings of the farm. It is out in the quiet farmlands of the island, but not too far from Friday Harbor. We will be back!

October Farm

Our family of 8 .. three generations with ages ranging from 6 months to grandparents in their 70’s 
 enjoyed a peaceful, luxurious and exceptionally comfortable stay at October Farm. The house is wonderful - larger than the pictures indicate, with a wing of bedrooms/bathrooms on one side and a huge upstairs with the main suite and additional bedrooms perfect for kids. We had enough room for everyone to spread out! The grounds are divine, acres and acres of farmland as far as the eye can see in all directions .. we enjoyed the animal sanctuary, horses, goats and turkeys, and cows grazing, sitting on the wrap around deck enjoying the cool breezes and the tranquility of it all. Joe is a gracious host! We wanted for nothing and had a fabulous time!!

Wonderful property!

This is our third (or maybe fourth) time staying at the October Farm. We LOVE this place and the host. There is nowhere we would rather be on San Juan Island. Joe is the best and kindest host we have ever had. I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is!

Fantastic Farm Stay

October Farm is the nicest and most peaceful place our family has ever stayed. The process of check in, the farm itself, the surrounding area, and the peacefulness of the entire area was blissful. We will be staying there again and again in the future; it is our favorite place to be!

Excellent property

We had the best time at October Farms. The property is gorgeous and the house very spacious. We were on San Juan Island to celebrate our daughters wedding, and the farmhouse was a perfect place for our family to stay. The host was very easy to work with and very responsive. We will be back!

Wonderful stay on the farm

A group of eight friends gathered at the farmhouse. It was spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable. The kitchen was perfect for a crew that enjoys cooking together. We loved hiking around the lake, cool breezes across the fields, sweet, quiet nights. A wonderful get away!

Great place to stay on San Juan Island

This is a renovated farmhouse in a bucolic setting. Extremely quiet location set among pasture land with a small amount of livestock. Very easy to get to areas around the island. A few miles from Friday Harbor so getting into town was quick.. House is well furnished with upgraded appliances and living spaces. Large open spaces perfect for gatherings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A celebration

Our grandson about to turn 3 is obsessed with farms and this was his gift from us. It was over the top great in so many ways. The animals, the winery there (we are a winery too)., and a house that was easy to feel at home in, all wonderful. We would love to return.

Great place for a family vacation

Really enjoyed this relaxing vacation with the family. Kitchen was best stocked of any rental we have ever had! The remodeled house was just the right size for our family of 7 adults and 1 child. Location put us 10-20 min from everything on the island. My 5 year old was in love with all the animals on the property! The Animal Haven Sanctuary Tour was so fun and the staff was so knowledgeable and kind during our entire stay. We hope to be back to this wonderful peaceful farm again!

This is such a special place!

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed! It's not just that this is a beautiful farmhouse with total privacy, fantastic kitchen, comfy beds, multiple bathrooms, and endless kitchen supplies! It's also that this is a place of peacefulness that is beyond any of our expectations. Being able to be on such a huge property, surrounded by open space, apple trees, friendly cows, eagles, the animal sanctuary, and easy long walks was divine. Joe was a fantastic host who was even able to accommodate the possibility of an extra night if needed. There is a cider press operation on the property and under a beautiful apple tree we were given a delightful cider tasting plus tour. Honestly, I wish that we could have stayed for much, much longer! This farm and the surroundings was the most peaceful place we have ever stayed. You won't regret this experience for a second!

Incredible, relaxing, cozy, updated, special

My family truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Everything was perfectly kept and maintained. It was an updated modern home but incredibly cozy with a living room perfect for family entertainment: couches, games, books, and a fireplace. The rooms comfortably housed 8 of us and the bathrooms were perfect. The room upstairs is gorgeous with a huge balcony and a viewing room with a telescope. We couldn't use the telescope this time around (it was cloudy) but knowing it's there for a future opportunity is great. All our beds were comfortable - everyone had a good night's rest. Checking in and beginning our stay with a private tour through the animal haven was so special. The tour guide was very kind and knowledgable and made the experience extra special for our twin toddlers. We got good laughs and great photos with the alpaca, mini horse, baby cows, and goats. The house was very quiet even as winds were gusting outside. Even if we didn't have anywhere to go and just stayed in the home all day - that would still have made the entire trip completely worthwhile for the whole family. We would love to enjoy another stay here!

Wonderful retreat on a tranquil farm

The property is in wonderful shape. The kitchen is well stocked, the house is clean and well maintained and as described, and the property is soothing. There multiple decks where you can sit and relax with morning coffee, evening wine, a book, or just your thoughts. We had a great time.

This is a working farm hosting the Island Haven Animal Sanctuary, home to horses, cows, alpacas, llamas, goats, wild farm cats, chickens and turkeys. Island Haven is a volunteer run Animal Sanctuary. Their mission is to provide lifetime care and sheltering for farm animals and equines who, while still able to lead a quality life, are unable to find homes due to old age, chronic illness, handicaps, temperament issues or other factors, or who have been rescued from neglect and/or abuse situations and require rehabilitation.
