Host was very responsive and professional. Unit was clean and excellent location. Lots of space with good WiFi. This is a civil war era house. If you have a problem with stairs, first floor will be better for you - as the stairs from parking to the 2nd floor back entrance are not easy. Also, as this is a very old house, don't expect new, modern or posh. But if you want to stay in a house that appears to have been used by confederates in July 1863, this is a good choice. As I was not expecting the Four Seasons, I had no complaints and would stay again. But if you need high-end amenities and modern, you'll likely be disappointed.
Very clean, good location, a lot of space! Plenty of dishes and although we did not cook, there seemed to be all sorts of cooking pans/pots, etc.Excellent TV instructions- because multiple remotes can be intimidating, lol. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice historic home close to everything. We parked our car in the designated spot and never drove again until we left. So much to do in town. I would definitely rent this house again.
The house was very clean. The kitchen was nicely stocked. We did not observe a laundry room, but the linen and everything that we needed was perfect and just an FYI, I recently updated my email but when the person that I was renting the place from only can send emails to my old email address so I think thatâs something that Verbo needs to change on their end other than that everything was
Great area of Gettysburg - walking distance to restaurants, college, ice cream, shops, etc. Historic building - comfortable, clean and spacious. Host had great communication. Wonderful time!
It is a very clean and comfortable and historical house. Great location for morning walks to the several battlefield sites and the national cemetery. Parking in back with easy access. Highly recommended!
This place was a perfect home base to visit everything we wanted to see in Gettysburg. This house was near the edge of town during the civil war so there is a ton of history within walking distance. Each night ghost tours would stop on the sidewalk a couple of houses down and in the alley behind the house, which was fun to see. The beds were comfy and the living area was nice and spacious. I would definitely stay here again.
This Civil War era Home is a great roomy space front facing Baltimore Street and rear facing Schoolhouse Alley and just a few doors North of Mr. Gs ice cream. Finding the Property was easy and Parking is good. It's in an excellent location a short walk from Lincoln Square. To be fair, the overall rating would be five(5) but for the fact that my old (73) bones don't really fit well with some of the early era sitting furnishings and the weakness of the living room lights for night time reading! But not too much of a bother as we were only there for two(2) days. The mattresses were fine! This upstairs Apartment is easily accessible via the sturdy steel outside staircase. The Kitchen is large and well suited to cooking which we didn't do. The dining room, living room and both bedrooms are good size. The bathroom was surprisingly large with a good size walk in shower, definitely a plus for me! I definitely recommend this space and will return for short stays!
I had never rented a space like this. It was clean and offered most everything we needed. The stairs presented quite a challenge for me and my wife. I knew there were stairs but did not realize the number involved. The host was very helpful in answering our questions. For people who are used to the comfort of a condo at the beach, this is not for you. It is very close to anything you want to do in Gettysburg. Consideration should be given to furnishing mid-week laundry service for bathroom (towels, etc.). The experience in staying in a Civil War house probably occupied by confederate soldiers, to me, was worth the experience.
This was in a great location to access town and all the sites. It was an enjoyable stay in a 1830s home.
As an FYI, there is a steep set of stairs to reach the second floor.
