Very happy with this rental. It looked like the photos, comfortable, clean, good neighborhood. Perfect for our group, ages 5 - 75. It was an easy walk to get around downtown Alpine with little shops, coffee houses, & restaurants. And we used it as a home base to visit Big Bend, Marfa, & Balmorhea (Big Bend was pretty far but we made it work). No complaints but one small note, we cooked there every day & the kitchen was pretty well equipped but could be a little better. We found the pots & pans in particular a bit lacking, especially if you want to avoid using non-stick (it's unhealthy), and I think some sizes & lids were missing. But we were able to make do & overall it was a great rental! Would recommend to friends.

The house is an older house but has been upgraded greatly. Besides some slight cleanliness issues, this was a fantastic place to stay. And after talking with the hostess, the cleanliness issue (which were minor) will be taken care of. We loved walking around outside and looking at all the lovely flowers and garden. Deer were roaming around the area and the wife got to take plenty of pictures. I hope we can come back to Alpine in the future and we will stay here again if it is vacant during our stay.

The house worked perfectly for our stay during Cyclefest. Comfortably housed the 4 of us with a lot of space. Everything was clean and in good shape. It's a great location, just steps from many of Alpine's restaurants. The hosts were absolutely fantastic and communicated clearly and promptly!

The property had great potential however lacked an overall level of cleanliness. The kitchen had spills behind the coffee pot and splashed substances on the backsplash wall as well as crumbs in the cabinets. The beds had hair in them which means they were either dirty or lack of detail in making them. Living room area had a level of dust on lamps and fake plants that leads me to believe they have not been dusted in a while as well as dead bugs in the floor. We also found a stash of what i assume were toe nail clippings and a broken tooth in the pull out futon. Lastly the screened in porch has a broken door and was not useable due to the layer of dirt and cob webs and leaves in it. The location was perfect for downtown and the backyard was nice to sit in however general cleanliness of the property was not ideal.

Outdated property

Very outdated property that was not totally clean . Needed maintenence and TLC. Out of town owners should get new people ro manage the property. They also need tobinvest in renovations to uodate at least the kitchen and bathrooms. Some of the furnishings were filthy and the screened patio was muddyvfrom previous flooding. Microwave handle was broken.

Wonderful Location

This home is in the perfect location in Alpine. Restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. I have stayed at this property many times and have never been disappointed. It is a home away from home.

Spacious home

We came in to attend a family reunion. I was very pleased with the space of the house. It was in the perfect location too, close to all our functions. We also enjoyed the enclosed patio where we sipped coffee and watched the hummingbirds in the morning. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to Alpine.

Great Alpine getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this house! It was in a good safe location and it was clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and fast to respond to any questions we had. The house had everything we needed for our stay. I definitely recommend this house and hope to return soon!

Wonderful Graduation weekend

We enjoyed our stay for our Son's Graduation from SRSU. Our family has had a tough year and thos allowed us to basically have a long sleepover. Lots of room, great kitchen, great location.

Relaxing

Loved being able to stay here at this cozy place as it is so beautiful while the sun is out and provides a great spot in the living room and game room for my friends and I to just hang back!

Great location

We love “our” Alpine house!

We always enjoy our visits to Alpine! The house is so perfect, and we love the screened patio. We wish the front bedroom got as cool as the rest of the house, but understand that it’s on the west side of the house. Looking forward to our next stay! Thanks for everything!
