The unit itself was very clean, and the pool, grounds, and beach were absolutely beautiful! It was also awesome that the host provided beach toys, chairs, an umbrella, and a boogie board, which the kids loved. However, we had a few unexpected challenges during our five-night stay. The inside of the unit was sprayed for pest control on the day we checked in. Because we have three young kids—including a crawling/walking baby—we felt uncomfortable with the chemical residue and ended up minimizing our time inside the unit altogether.To the host's credit, they were very responsive when we raised this concern and came over to reclean the floors and baseboards right away, which we greatly appreciated. Additionally, the dryer kept shutting off repeatedly, meaning our clothes wouldn’t dry properly, and we couldn't figure out why. Overall, it is a lovely location with great amenities, but the timing of the pest control and the dryer situation made things tough with a young family.

We completely understood your concern about traveling with a crawling baby, and we truly went above and beyond to make sure you felt comfortable. Our team came back to re-clean the floors and baseboards for your peace of mind. The pest treatment was a routine, mandatory resort-wide preventative service, which is very normal in Maui’s tropical environment. It was completed early that morning, well before your arrival, and was not scheduled because of any pest issue within the condo. We’re also sorry about the dryer issue, and we are so happy the repairman came right away and fixed the issue; this is a brand new dryer. Whenever something unexpected comes up, our priority is to respond quickly and do everything reasonably possible to take care of our guests.
