Tina’s Hen House is so cozy and inviting. The peaceful country setting is a great place to catch a sunset. The small town of Edgefield has this charismatic town square. We spent one of our nights of Christmas vacation in the Hen House, under cozy blankets watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” with a glass of red wine. Such a great place to leave your stresses and household chores behind, and just relax!!!!

Short stay near Edgefield Country Club

We stay overnight for a bday party at the Edgefild Country club and was great location near to it. Quiet and beautiful place, enjoyed walking to lake and property. Easy directions and access. Great place to stay!!

Nice Stay in the Woods

We came in town for a wedding and spent two nights here. The place was comfortable , nicely decorated, spacious and had all the necessities plus some treats and snacks. It’s back in the woods on a beautiful lot. Very nice to sit and hang out at the house with the curtains open on the large glass doors. Unfortunately the place needed a refresh clean before we stayed. There was dust and spiderwebs everywhere and bird poop on the indoor couch pillow. With a good cleaning the place would have been great.

Masters Weekend Stay

Great spot for a quick trip to Augusta to watch The Masters. About 30 minutes from the course. The place is large with a good living room, kitchen, and one bedroom. We couldn’t find a WiFi password to save our lives - not sure if the place has WiFi. There were some cobwebs throughout the place, the bathroom was not cleaned very thoroughly, but the bed was good. This is a great place if you are looking to get away from the noise, or a cheap spot to land for a night.

Beautiful Secluded Cottage

We were searching for somewhere to get away from it all..and boy did we find it! This cottage is so quaint, beautifully decorated, up to date, so secluded..everything was supplied. The drive down to the property was like going back in time. The walk through the woods to the old quarry was mowed and the water and rocks are breath taking. Oodles of blueberry bushes. We'll revisit downtown Edgefield again. Store owners are very friendly. Will definitely suggest this Farm Cottage to family and friends.

We arrived late at night and immediately struggled because the property had almost no lighting. It was incredibly dark, and even figuring out how to enter was confusing. Once we did, we had to wave through cobwebs just to get inside. The moment we walked through the door, we saw two large house centipedes on the walls that scattered as we entered. When we checked the bedroom, we found a palmetto bug (which, for those from the north, is essentially a roach) on the curtains. There were multiple cobwebs throughout the space behind furniture and decor.The structure itself is a shed converted into a small living space. It’s decorated nicely and could be charming, but the gaps between the tin roof and the walls made it clear the space isn’t sealed, and it felt like an environment where bugs can come and go freely. It genuinely felt like we wouldn’t be able to sleep without worrying about bugs crawling on us. We were inside for less than five minutes before deciding we couldn’t stay. Having paid nearly 400 for two nights, it was disappointing to walk away from that money, but it felt necessary for our comfort and peace of mind. I sent a polite message to the owner explaining the situation. She responded that she had just been there and hadn’t seen any bugs, and that because the structure isn’t sealed like a typical house, they struggle with spider webs and insects. She completely ignored my message for any type of partial refund despite how briefly we were inside and the condition

The truth is that these people were offered a free place to stay at a relatives house and were upset when I followed the VRBO policy and wouldn't refund their money. The description of the property on VRBO is quite clear.

The perfect place to get away...

My husband and I stayed here and had a wonderful time! This property is really great for anyone looking to get away from city life. Bed was very comfortable and it seems like Tina has really thought of every detail when it comes to the little extras throughout the house. Cell service was minimal but we really didn't mind. The property is beautiful and there is a gorgeous old quarry on the property as well where we were able to relax and watch the sunset. We are travel bloggers so this was also a beautiful place to take photos for our page - Feel free to follow us on Instagram to see the photos we took on the property this weekend.(@shannonxaaron) Tina and Nino are the best owners we've encountered so far. Tina even left us a list of all the local spots to go to in the area and directions on how to get there. Also, we highly recommend you take the time to drive into town and visit Tina's bakery! While we were there we had the chance to meet both Tina and Nino in person. She is so incredibly talented - We highly recommend either breakfast sandwich (we tried both) and her cupcakes. We will DEFINITELY be coming back to this property :)

Lovely little cottage with all the things including peace

Absolutely lovely little cottage with a ton of amenities. It was very close to the town center but in the country so it has a very serene vibe. The cottage was immaculate. Very comfortable with full and fully equipped clean kitchen. Bathroom was clean and modern with plenty of linens and towels. Hot water with no issues. Bedroom was clean and comfy. Overall it was a lovely place and we would stay again. Tina always responded to my questions and I appreciated that. Thank you Tina for providing such a fabulous spot.

Stay just wasn’t long enough

Wonderful property. We just were not able to stay long enough to enjoy all the property had to offer. I grew up in Edgefield and was in town for a family event. I am so glad Edgefield has properties like this now .

After years of living and working in Columbia South Carolina, we decided that we wanted a little out-of-the-way place to de-stress. We found this property online and it was love at first sight! We knew it was exactly where we belong. When we discovered that the property had a small cottage, we knew that we had to fix it up and share it with other people who also lead crazy, busy lives.
