Enjoy a peaceful nature escape just off Exit 18, 7 minutes from Stable View, 25 minutes from Augusta, and 15 minutes from Downtown Aiken. This unique, charming home is tucked beside the serene and fully stocked 3.4-acre Lake Amelia. Outdoor amenities feature a picnic table with grill, fire pit, cornhole, comfortable screened porch, three kayaks, and a rowboat. Home is equipped with board games, streaming services, breakfast essentials, and everything you should need during your stay.

No lifeguard on duty. Use of the lake, kayaks, and rowboat is at your own risk. By booking this property, guests acknowledge that any water activities are undertaken voluntarily and agree to assume full responsibility for their own safety.

Property is not childproof. Two children’s life vests are provided. Please watch children closely. 🙏

Was perfect for us. Ive never stayed at one that actually had food an all the cookware we needed! My teens loved the canoes. My dad loved to fish, not sure if there was any fish though. Would definitely recommend!

Magical Little Getaway

By far, our favorite vacation rental ever. Black Cat Cabin is perfect for a nature lover, anyone looking for peace and solitude, or wanting quality family time. We loved the colorful decor, attention to detail, all of the comforts and the surrounding beauty. This gave us the perfect place to relax and recharge after busy days. Thank you!

We rented this wonderful house for a weekend getaway with a wedding we were attending nearby, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect for the occasion. From start to finish, everything about this place made our trip special. The house itself was a delight—spotlessly clean, well-kept, and decorated with such a warm, welcoming touch. Think cozy furniture, tasteful artwork, and little accents that gave it a charming, lived-in feel without ever feeling cluttered. It was the kind of place where you could kick off your shoes and instantly relax.The owners were beyond hospitable, and their thoughtfulness really stood out. They stocked the refrigerator with breakfast essentials—eggs, Milk, juice, and more—so we could start our busy wedding day with a home-cooked meal. They also left out extra touches like coffee, snacks, which made the place feel like a home away from home. It was clear they cared about making our stay comfortable and memorable, and that personal attention meant a lot.The location was ideal too—just a short drive from the wedding venue, which made it so convenient for us to enjoy the event and then retreat to this peaceful haven. What an amazing place!

Highly highly recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay! From the eclectic decoration of the house to the absolute quiet and beauty of the pond, this place is a rare gem! Sarah was absolutely fabulous, and went out of her way to help us extend our stay last minute. The house itself is beautiful and extremely clean. We had everything we could possibly have needed and more. If this is an option for you to stay and you don’t you are definitely missing out. We will absolutely be staying here again if we need a place in Aiken!!

Hi, I’m Sarah, and my husband Lee and I live and work in Aiken, South Carolina. Lee is a talented chef, and I wait tables a couple days a week. It’s a job I love because it allows flexibility and lets me meet people from all walks of life and stay connected to our community.

I also manage this property, which has become a real passion of mine. There’s something special about creating a beautiful, comfortable space, not just for ourselves and the people we love, but also for travelers who are passing through. It brings me so much joy to know that guests can relax and feel at home here, even if just for a short while.

From the moment we first pulled into the driveway, we felt a kind of magic here. There’s something about the peaceful lake, the wildlife, the sound of wind chimes in the breeze, the spacious layout of the home, the little greenhouse and cottage tucked away in the trees. It all feels like a place where kids might chase frogs and fairies, and hobbits would gather for a party. It’s a true escape from the everyday world, full of quiet beauty and endless possibility.
