We wanted a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of life and we got it. House is in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sleeping in, catching up on movies and shows, board games and yard games, cooking and baking, and swimming at hot tubbing. No mosquitos! Beautiful weather all weekend. The house was well apportioned - lots of towels, lots of basics in the pantry and fridge, and a wonderful welcome basket full of snacks. 6 kids moved between the bunk bed room and queen bed room with futon. Mom, and mom and dad, claimed the king bed rooms for our retreat spaces. Homeowner came by to tend the pool (falling leaves) and we troubleshot the one minor issue we’d had with some plumbing. Kind people, nice house!

Location was just what we needed. Came for a quick family vacation and this home was perfect. We enjoyed being able to hang out in the backyard and swim every evening. Home literally had absolutely anything you could need. I was extremely thankful for the playpen & high chair. Check in process was easy and John was great to communicate with as well. Kids were so sad to leave. We would definitely book again!

Feels Like Home!

Comfortable house for our family with young children, and the pool was a big hit. They had tons of pool toys, games, etc so we didn’t always have to leave to have fun. Lots of nearby amenities like restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The neighborhood felt very safe. There were a few things in need of maintenance that they were already aware of that were minor and not a big deal, and a few more bothersome things (lots of wasps/hornets in the back, a long metal valence fell off the sliding glass doors but didn’t hurt anyone, and the smoke alarm went off for no reason at 330 am). The owners were very apologetic about everything that was less than perfect. It’s an older house but well-stocked with towels, cooking basics, etc which we appreciated. They also left a nice welcoming basket. I was grateful the main doors to the poor were sturdy sliding glass doors so we didn’t have to worry about our toddler gaining access to the pool. All in all, we’d consider staying again if a few things were maintained better or the price was a bit lower.

Perfect Spot for Family & Memorial

We visited San Antonio for our father's memorial. We wished a place close to Fort Sam Houston Cemetery, downtown, and could fit three families. This spot was perfect! It reminded us all of our grandparents' place from way back when in San Antonio. The pool kept the kiddos busy. The bunkbeds and trundle kept the kiddos corralled for sleeping and it was just an all around great place to spend some family time together. It rained a bunch while we were there so we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities (fire pit, putting green) but it was still a great spot for us all to spend time together, especially to teach some youngsters the finer points of ping pong. The hosts were very responsive to our request for help with the wifi. All in all, a great place to stay. Thank you!!

Enjoyed our stay!

My family and I enjoyed our stay! There were plenty of comfortable beds, TVs, bathrooms and a BEAUTIFUL backyard. We had so much fun with the swimming pool and hot tub! The hosts were easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and about 15-20 mins from most attractions.

Family Wedding

Our family stayed at this location and it worked very nicely. Pool was great and the owners left a steamer at the home for us so we could steam the dresses for my daughter's wedding. Very thoughtful and helpful. Would stay here again!

Short Family Trip

This was a wonderful place to stay and you can tell that John and Cecilia really care about their guests. We enjoyed every bit of this trip and especially loved cooling off in the pool and playing in the putt putt golf area. We 100% recommend this property and will be planning a future visit here again.

UTSA graduation celebration

Our stay at this property was absolutely perfect and John and Cecilia went above and beyond for us. They even surprised us with some graduation decor which was such a thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend staying here. Backyard is a beautiful oasis!

Great Stay

The property owners were wonderful. Family was visiting from Wisconsin to attend granddaughter's graduation from UIW. The Owner's decorated the dining room table with graduation congratulations and also had a gift basket waiting at check-in. The back yard was great and many of our group spent a lot of time there. A small glitch with the spa was solved in minutes. Will stay there again when visiting the San Antonio area.

Spring Break getaway for family with young kids

Our family of 4 from NJ visited San Antonio and stayed here for a quick 4-night stay. The house was perfect - plenty of backyard and activities for the kids (and adults). The house and yard were very clean and well-kept. The hosts John and Ceci were very responsive, helpful, and friendly. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Perfect for Our Golf Trip

We loved our stay at your property! The location was centrally located for all the golf courses we played at and for going out to dinner after. The home is very clean and comfortable. The backyard is immaculate and gorgeous! We really enjoyed using the pool and hot tub and just relaxing in the peaceful and beautiful setting. The owners were excellent at communicating and quick to respond to any question we had. We would highly recommend this property for any stay you will be planning in San Antonio.

Visiting Family

It was perfect because we were in walking distance to our family that we were visiting. Some of us were able to come back to our VRBO to relax or enjoy a swim/hot tub or play ping pong/putting green.

Spacious & Convenient

The house is clean and comfortably furnished. It’s very spacious and well set up, plus the hosts left an unexpected goodie basket and went above and beyond making sure anything we could need was there and easy to find. There was as an obvious attention to detail that exceeded expectations. This was a girls trip and we made several trips into downtown, which was only 15-20 minutes away, as the house was a fantastic home base. However, we enjoyed the house so much we did not want to go out a lot.

We moved to San Antonio after John retired from the military in 2003 and have happily called it home since. You could say we're not from here but got here as soon as we could. We hope you enjoy our home.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

This is a beautiful home that sleeps 12 comfortably, not including the use of two large sofas. It is in the heart of the city but you would think you were in the suburbs because the neighborhood is so quiet and the lots are so large. Virtually everything in the city is less than 15-20 minutes away. For those aspiring singers, we have installed a professional karaoke system for hours of enjoyment. For anyone who just has to have that warm hydrotherapy in the evenings (or in the mornings), we have installed a 7-person Jacuzzi hot tub to complement the large pool.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

A beverage on one of the backyard patios with a meal cooking on the outdoor grill watching your loved ones enjoy the large yard and pool makes it all worth it. Grocery stores are about a mile away in two different directions, movie theaters and mall are less than 5 minutes away. There's something for everyone very close to this home.
