We love this area of the lake! We enjoyed watching boats go by. The house was perfect for our group of 12. The hot tub was great for the cooler evenings.

We had a great time at this lake house! The stairs going down to the lake were difficult but that was clearly stated in the listing. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next lake vacation! Owners were super responsive and very helpful anytime we reached out.

Lake Trip 2025

Awesome view from back deck, awesome boat dock with jet ski storage and room for (2) boats! Very close to marina and plenty of parking at the house for several vehicles. Also plenty of trailer parking close by, bring a trailer lock and chock blocks! Stairs to dock were challenging but doable even for me, just take breaks to catch your breath and enjoy the view!

September Fun!

We had a group of 8 adults using the 4 bedrooms. All the beds were reported as very comfortable. The home is very well stocked for larger groups with the main dining table able to seat up to 10 people comfortably. The decks are great - particularly enjoyed the swing and the hot tub on the lower level. The steps are certainly a challenge, however with some planning to limit the trips up and down, you can enjoy boating and swimming off the nice dock as we did. Very nice home with an accommodating and responsive host. We look forward to a future return visit. BTW - the week after labor day is a great time to enjoy Norris Lake with low lake traffic.

Amazing views

Amazing views! Absolutely beautiful. The property was well described. The lake was very low when we went which made the walk to the dock an extra challenge. We ended up getting a slip at the marina to make things easier. The kitchen is definitely small like noted in other reviews but it works.

Great Stay

House was great and clean. Views were amazing. Water is amazing. Steps weren’t for the weak of heart but that is clearly disclosed in the listing. Owner was responsive to messages and questions I had before we arrived. Once we arrived, he checked in with us to make sure everything was good. Would definitely stay again!

Really nice house

The house has a great layout. Very functional. Kitchen was a little small to meal prep for a large group but we made it work. Rooms were spacious and clean. The view from the back was amazing. The stairs from dock to house are challenging. No carrying of coolers for sure. Hot tub wouldn’t heat up but wasn’t a big deal for the group. Overall it was great for our group and would book again.

Great Lake spot

12 adults & 1 toddler enjoyed this spacious and comfy lake house. A great place to unwind and relax. The stairs, as advertised, are definitely a challenge for any older adults or anyone unfit. A great exercise though. Would definitely recommend Carpe Diem and would stay again!

Flat hollow marina cabin with a view

Fair warning the steps are killer! If you are not physically able to walk nearly 200 steps to get to the dock, pick a different house. You do waste time driving back and forth to the marina to pick up those who are unable to do steps. Otherwise the house and host were fantastic. This house is more designed for a couple families with kids and not really for a large group of adults. On rainy days there are no activities to do indoors for adults. The loft bed is definitely for kids and the kitchen is small and not enough seating for everyone if there are adults. Perfect tucked away quiet area for a couple families to enjoy the stay at Norris lake. House was very clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels. Listing is as described I just didn’t read carefully enough to realize it was not the best place for our large adult family vacation. Joe is great to work with and was very willing to accommodate early arrival and late departure and gave excellent directions. Would stay there again which a much smaller group. Honestly, no more then 6 adults with a few kids would be a perfect fit In this house. Thanks Joe for a great time and for sharing your house with us!

Very nice home - excellent view!

This is a very nice home. Amazing view! The home is well supplied and comfortable. The steps to the dock were a bit daunting but we managed well. Flat Hollow Marina is very nice too. I recommend this beautiful home to anyone. If you have someone who can't do the steps to your boat... Just have someone get the boat and meet you at the marina. Plenty of parking. That's what we did. Otherwise it was a beautiful week!

I love this house and rented it at least once a year. in 2018 the home owner talked me int to buying it because he was building in the tropics. Best purchase ever!!!
