Condo Stay in Myrtle Beach

The condo was clean and as pictured. Great view from patio. This place was more comfortable than a hotel room. More space, separate bedroom, large shower stall. Easy Access to beach. Boardwalk area a 25 minute walk with plenty of restaurants and shops.

Loved view of ocean from balcony

It was clean and nice. Could use a little updating. Loved the washer and dryer in unit, so convenient.

Great stay

Overall this was a great room. The view was great. Enjoyed the use of the umbrella and chairs that were left in the closet. You could tell the table had been fixed at some point and was wobbly. 2 things that could be improved would be a bigger bed sheet as it would slip off the mattress every night and when we got to the room there was sand on the countertops and the floors had to be swept and vacuumed as there was sand and a broken necklace on them. I would stay there again as any issues were only minor.

Not a great part of town

This is one of those "condo" units that is basically an old hotel that was remodeled. It's very obvious that friends, relatives and pretty much everyone affiliated with the staff has the code to the door and they over run the pool, lazy river and all amenities. The parking garage is a 2 block walk to the actual building. The owner is very bad about communicating pretty much anything. Also, this floor obviously has not been cleaned in a very long time, even though we were told we couldn't get in 15 minutes early because it was being cleaned. We were waiting outside the door and there was never anyone inside cleaning. Owner was just making us wait until exactly 4 to let us check in and blatantly lied. Renter beware. lazy river and all amenities. The plazy

You get what you pay for

I loved the location and the resort amenities. The condo had what I needed considering what I paid. The condo was really dated. All the furnishings need to be tossed, appliances updated and a deep cleaning from top to bottom. I'm not sure if the ceiling in the living room had mold or dust but either way it's a health issue. The sleeper sofa was broken which made just sitting on it nearly impossible. The pocket door in the bathroom is broken and does not lock properly. The best part of my stay was the king size bed. It was really comfy and the blackout curtains made it easy to sleep during the day. This place is ok for a contract worker as myself but I would be very disappointed on a vacation.

Needs Improvement

Check in was easy being it was privately owned. The owner must not come often to visit the condo to ensure everything it in place. The tub was not clean. The carpet is sticky. The sliding door in the bathroom had a missing screw. My husband had to fix both TV 's and take one off demo mood. There was a glob of hair behind the toilet. The kitchen only had one pan and pot that could be used. A small pan still had dried egg in it. I truly tried to clean it. There are missing dishes, pots with no top, and cups (only one wine glass) to a set. I had to clean the dishes because they were not clean. The ice in the ice maker taste nasty and filter needs to be changed. The pull out sofa bed was had a mattress cover but had rusted the bottom of the mattress (brown stain). The blanket smelled like the inside of someones bottom, had to wash it. The patio door was unlocked on arrival and had trouble closing it each time. The coffee table has a broken leg. The kitchen table is not level. The decor was dated and the ledge on the glass wall no one cleans, had spider webs. The curtain panel had stains on it. The best is we had shelter and family time in the condo. Please Carolinian have the owner made aware of the problem to improve. I will not be returning.

Buyer Beware

Great location for area attractions. Check in process is super easy. As for the condo itself: The layout is nice and that’s where the compliments end. Where to begin….the kitchen is extremely lacking in everything ! Unlike the description of being completely stocked for your cooking needs, we found that there were only 4 dinner forks, knives and spoons. FOUR ! That’s it! There was no large pot for boiling pasta or seafood. There was no cutting board or drain board for dishes. There were 2 smaller pots one of which the teflon was so scratched and damaged that we didn’t feel it was safe to use. Also only one medium sized frying pan. No blender and only a tiny 4 cup coffee maker. Not what I would call “well stocked” Now to the sofa bed. One word: YUCK ! The mattress protector on the sofa bed mattress was disgusting, period. It was stained and not something one would want to even put a sheet over and sleep on. Not to mention that the “mattress” was just a cheap thing with zero support. Needless to say we did not use it. Other issues included a broken pocket door handle on one of the bathroom doors, the dryer lint filter had not been cleaned in Lord knows how long, the tv remotes did not work and the tv in the main area had to be reprogrammed with channels. In addition the coffee table had a broken leg and the lock to the sliding balcony door was difficult to lock. Also there was only 1 wine glass. The real kicker to all of this ? Apparently a family who rented the unit a month prior to us had noted the exact same issues as stated here. So in that month nothing was done to correct the problems! Also I called the rental company while we were there to point out this issues. The fact that one month went by with no corrections to the issues at hand tells me that the owners and the rental company think little of their renters! We certainly would never rent this unit again and neither should you!
