This home was great for our family - kids and adults alike! We had everything we needed for a pleasant getaway. The jetted tub was so nice to relax in after a day at the beach. Rooms were clean and nice.

This was the perfect house for our school class Lewis & Clark trip - 11 middle schoolers and 5 adults! Each chaperone had their own room, there was lots of kitchen and dining space, and the ocean was close enough for lots of swimming. Delightful view from the windows. An ideal getaway place.

Great space for a large group!

Awesome home with great layout for a big family with kids. Two kitchens and living room areas, a great game room and short walk out to beach.

We had a great time at our 50th reunion at this house. We had room to gather all of our kids and grandkids in one place to help us celebrate our 50 years together. The house was comfortable and spacious; everything we needed to enjoy our beach stay.

Eleven 70 year olds held a college football reunion at the house. Uniformly everyone loved the location, the spaciousness, the bedrooms, how it was furnished and the kitchen. What you see in the VRBO app is what you get.

Great house as described. The elevator is great for unloading and anyone with mobility problems. The smaller second floor kitchen is definitely not as well stocked as the 3rd floor kitchen. But, overall it was a great house and comfortably fit all 16 of us.

Our family had a great stay at Modern Marvel property. There was plenty of room for every one. All the rooms we clean and well stocked. We chose to stay next year as well and it was great to be anle to reserve in advance.We cook alot and we would have liked to have a few more sizes of pans to cook in. The communication with the host and management company was great. We haven't really had such great communication in any place we have rented in the past.Thank you!

Beautiful home with plenty of room to spread out. Very nice property with access to the beach. The house was clean and the hosts were accessible and friendly. It was so nice to bring our two family pets. Outdoor seating was nice for sunny afternoons. A nice perk was both hot and cold water to wash off sand by the side door of the house. We wished there was a hose. In our party of 16, we just had one complaint about a squeeky bed frame and one king mattress that could use an upgrade. All in all it was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend staying here!

Family reunion

We reunited with family we hadn't seen in years and this was the perfect house for our large family. Plenty of sleeping quarters and a fun room with bunk beds for the kiddos. We enjoyed it so much. It was super stormy out and cozy! Would definitely recommend this house and or stay there again!

Church group retreat

Its a beautiful home and great location. It also included a couple of surprises, elevator and gameroom. The home is very well equipped. You dont need anything but your food and toothbrush. Its very well maintained and clean.

Hi Richard, Thank you for your recent stay with us at Modern Marvel. We appreciated you working with us on getting the new refrigerator in. The home has a total of three refrigerators, but we do recognize that the top floor is where most of the cooking happens. Thank you for allowing us to replace it during your stay. We did refund you $200 for the inconvenience this caused during your stay. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay on the Oregon coast.

Great House!

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect! We have 12 people staying the house. It was GREAT there was 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The Elevator and game room on the 1st floor was unexpected and awesome!!! We plan on staying here again in 2025! We can’t wait to come back!

This was a beautiful vacation rental with plenty of room to spread out. Not all of our group of retirees wanted to climb stairs and there was plenty of queen beds available on both floors. Tasteful decor and Viking appliances, lots of seating and kitchen equipment. Only minor quibble was no salt in either kitchen. The walk to the beach was short and pretty, the beach was largely deserted.

Great for large groups or retreats

We stayed here with our team for a planning retreat. The house is great for large groups. You really can't ask for anything more. Lots of space for gathering together or hanging out by yourself and the view is amazing. Just a short walk down to the beach. The elevator was out of service and they checked with me weeks ahead of time to make sure we would be ok. We had a few issues with the dishwasher and the microwave wasn't working but not a deal breaker at all. We would definitely stay here again.

Gearheart House

The house itself was wonderful. We had a big group and it was nice to spread out over 2 floors with kitchen set ups on each floor. The management company was responsive to questions and concerns. My only concern was surprisingly that part of the beach allows cars on the beach which takes away from enjoying the beach for me. Everything else was wonderful and we had a great time!

Church Couples Weekend

It was a beautiful home! Everything we needed to have a nice stay. We were disappointed to not be able to use game room due to fans from flooding. It was just too loud. And we had no hot water Friday night. But the home itself was beautiful, well maintained, great location and we had a great stay!

Large house for student retreat

Large house with lots of bedrooms and beds. Also a ton of bathrooms. There is a loft that is off limits, which was a bummer. The basement is a big game room with plenty to entertain. The bathrooms had heated floors. The upstairs and main level are like two individual houses (both are fully equipped with full kitchens and dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms. Therefor this would be perfect for a multi-family rental as far as personal space/privacy. The company that owns it was so nice- they called before check in to see if we had any questions and got back to me immediately when I sent a chat question online. Will try to secure again next year.

Yearly Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay in Gearhart which is charming. Closeness to Seaside was a hit for the kids. House was spacious and well equipped. Beds comfy. Beach a walk away. Very nice stay.
