We absolutely loved our stay at Gasthof Fretz! Jim and Olena were wonderful hosts, and the house was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. We loved the Bavarian atmosphere of Stoudtburg Village and the convenient location. The garage parking was a great bonus!We had a wonderful time with family and made some great memories. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay! We had a wonderful time and didn't even leave the community! The local shop ownsers were so welcoming. The house itself was spacious and comfortable. My family enjoyed the park and the pond and just walking around the plaza. As a bonus we got to enjoy the german festival right outside our door.

We love the little village. It was a very quiet place to relax and enjoy our time away. James is a great host and very easy to communicate with.

Our stay was nothing but spectacular! This home made us feel so welcomed, from the cleanliness of the home to the decorations. The communication with the host was top notch! We cannot wait to go back!

We loved our stay! The hosts take pride in their home and ensure visits are enjoyable. I appreciated the quiet environment and the picturesque architecture. The home is located within 1.5 hours of other PA attractions we completed in shorter day trips.

Our family of 3 couples really enjoyed our stay here. This is a lovely home, located above a boutique shop (2nd & 3rd floors of the building), in a whimsical village setting. Dining area windows look out on a European-style square complete with fountain. The apartment is charmingly decorated, and everything you need is provided. Highly recommend.(Note: Access by stairs.)

We loved this lovely townhouse. It was super cute and gave us a glimpse into our future Europe trip we have planned for next year. When you’re there you feel like you’re in Germany in a city te little town yet close to Hershey to get your chocolate experience, Amish to the south and Crystal Cave to the north. Great location and close to the best buffet restaurant (Shady Maple Smorgasbord) we have ever been to. Highly recommend this lovely home. Well stocked and clean. Next time we are in the area I will try to book this home again.

Everything was perfect! Such a quiet place to relax and enjoy the town. Everything was clean and organized. Lots of amenities to make you fell right at home. The village tavern was awesome restaurant and all the store owners are so friendly. Highly recommended!!

We stayed at the Gasthof-Fretz house for a long weekend, what a great house. The house was easy to find and the host was easy to communicate with. The house has a European vibe and very comfortable. There was a cute restaurant within walking distance and a brewery with good food down the road. We really enjoyed our stay.

House was absolutely gorgeous and great placement due to our wedding at IronSpire. Is a quaint community nestled in Lancaster County.
