L'une des maisons les plus photographiées et les plus célèbres de Savannah. C'est vraiment l'une des plus belles maisons du Sud-Est. Il est maintenant disponible comme maison de vacances de luxe et lieu d'événement. Vivez dans le giron du luxe que peu d'expérience sur la place Monterey dans l'une des villes les plus magiques du pays. Le manoir peut accueillir un maximum de 20 personnes.

Le précieux «Wedding Cake Mansion» est le joyau de la place Monterey. La place historique a été rendue célèbre par son apparition dans le film «Minuit dans le jardin du bien et du mal». La place Monterey est incontestablement la plus belle place de Savannah. La place est ornée de demeures à tous les coins, drapée de mousse espagnole et ancrée de monuments historiques.

Cette maison baroque du 2e Empire de 1869 vous souffle à la minute où vous la voyez. La baie vitrée blanche élaborée est si richement décorée de vitraux et de ferronnerie décorative que les habitants de longue date de Savannah ont toujours dit qu'elle ressemblait à un «gâteau de mariage» élégamment décoré. Cette architecture est très unique à Savannah avec seulement quelques exemples dans le quartier historique. L'influence française se retrouve dans toute la maison avec des antiquités françaises, de l'art et de la décoration. Les chambres sont une évasion resplendissante et les salles de bains privatives offrent tous les accessoires de luxe attendus du voyageur averti et raffiné. En prime, vous aurez 2 places de parking de garage convoitées.

La cour est une oasis spéciale avec une fontaine ornée d'une statue en marbre d'Italie. L'aménagement paysager et les sièges magnifiques en font l'endroit idéal pour se détendre dans le luxe.

Pas plus de 20 personnes sont autorisées dans le manoir. Plus de 20 invités à la propriété seront considérés comme un événement. Les événements doivent être approuvés à l'avance au moment de la réservation par le propriétaire. Si approuvé, un contrat d'événement supplémentaire et des frais sont requis.

Great place to stay for our girls trip. It was very nice that everyone had their own private bathroom! Home is close to everything. The kitchen is well stocked!

The house itself is stunning and the location is A. Everything we needed was provided and everyone had a nice time. We would rent again. Easy check in, plenty of room, beautifully furnished. Things to note: Showers: Listing shows 8 showers. There are 8 showers but several are “European Showers” requiring guests to sit down in a tub and shower using a wand. These are not stand up showers. Not an issue as we just shared the other showers throughout the house. Elevator: I arrived first to check over the house and the elevator was not working. I checked all the doors and still nothing. There are notes about the elevator and they indicate the Host will not fix the elevator if it’s not working. Keep that in mind when you assign bedrooms to your guests. The house is 4 floors and some of our guests don’t do multiple sets of stairs well. But, with so many rooms, moving bedroom assignments was easy. TV’s: There are a lot of TVs in the house! Several were not full functional. NOTE TO HOST: May need to have cleaners check TVs as part of clean up process (batteries, turn on, navigation of remotes, etc).

We had an amazing birthday celebration with our group. The house was beautiful, furnished with amenities and located within walking distance of everything we needed. The host was responsive to our questions and comments. We would most definitely stay here again.

Reunion

This property is even more spacious and beautiful than it looks in the listing and was the perfect setting for the 13 of us to meet in Savannah for a reunion. The kitchen was well stocked, allowing us to prepare meals, and the dining room was a comfortable size for us to eat together. The location is just around the corner from Forsyth Park, on a quiet street, and within walking distance to everything we did during our weekend stay.

Historic, nostalgic, and beautiful place. Is like going to the past and discovering how Americans lived. We had a great time celebrating our friend’s 90 birthday. The management even sent her a bouquet of flowers. We absolutely recommend this place. Thank you!

50th Birthday Celebration

The location was perfectly located and we walked everywhere. The house is absolutely spectacular. My husband and I celebrated our 50th with family and friends, we had 8 couples including us and it was very spacious. I love every detail in the house, so many hidden gems. I would recommend this house a million times. Savannah is truly a magical, whimsical city.

Old high school friends and spouses

We are a group of 7 couples aged 65 to 69 that have been friends since high school and college. Savannah was beautiful with lots of interesting things to do and this property was perfectly located to everything either by walking or relatively cheap Uber. The dining room was perfect for doing an in home dinner for everyone as well.

Amazing Time

To begin we loved loved loved the Wedding Cake House. It was so inviting and beautiful to stay. Plenty space for 15 w/ our own bathrooms and at night it was so quiet. We enjoyed eating together in the dining room and the kitchen was definitely a great hang out too. We made the trip to eat at my Nephews new restaurant “Brochu’s Family Tradition” and trust me we would given it 6 stars or more if we could. So if you add the house, location and Andrew’s restaurant it was one of Our Top vacations. We also had dessert at Better than Sex restaurant and that was a real treat too. The parks were beautiful and walking distance to sooo many. Look forward to returning to Savannah. Maybe we will come in the fall next time :).

Summer Trip

The property was the perfect location, very clean and great for a large group. The drinkware was very well stocked for both coffee in the mornings and drinks during the day. Could use some updated pots and pans but that only matters if you plan to cook a lot vs eating at Savannah's fantastic restaurants. There were 14 people in our group - originally supposed to be 16 but due to outside circumstances, just 14 of us. The property description states that there are 8 bedrooms with 6 kings and 2 queens but upon arrival, there were only 7 bedrooms - 5 kings and 2 queens. It didn't end up being an issue for us since we were down 2 people, but just be aware when booking. I understand that there is two pull out couches but in the description it seems like these pull out options are in addition to the 8 bedrooms. Other than that, I would gladly suggest The Wedding Cake Mansion to any group traveling to Savannah :)

Hi Ashley, Thanks for your kind words and we're so glad to hear you all enjoyed your time at the Wedding Cake Collection. You mentioned there not being 8 bedrooms. I suspect you didn't go into the Carriage House, where there is another king size bedroom, sleeper sofa & bathroom! The Collection includes the Garden Suite (2 bedrooms, 1 sleeper sofa), The Main House (5 bedrooms) AND the Carriage House (1 bedroom). You reserved the entire Collection but again, I suspect you forgot about the Carriage House being above the garage. In any case, we hope to see you again!

Wonderful place to stay in the heart of Savannah

I will be booking my return to Savannah very soon. This is the only house I will stay for our visit. So much room and walking distance to all the sights. I highly recommend the Wedding Cake Collection Home. This was perfect for our parent's 50th anniversary!

Wonderful family weekend

We had a destination wedding in Savannah and I wanted a place for our two families to stay together. This property was perfect for us. Everyone enjoyed the beauty of the facility, the furnishings and the many small touches. It allowed my family to get to know her family in an intimate setting. Every couple had a private room that was nicely appointed. The photos online do not do this place justice.

Savannah Family Reunion!!

Three-generation family reunion. We rented the entire 3 units of the Wedding Cake House collection. There was plenty of room for the 14 of us. Fabulous historic home in a great location- walking distance to restaurants, shops and Savannah landmarks.

Most bedrooms had ensuite bath, and the few that didn't were just across/down a hall. Full kitchen (actually multiple kitchens), long longn dining room table to fit a crowd, ample seating for conversations. Just a lovely place.

Savannah Destination Wedding

Our son and his beautiful wife chose Savannah for a destination wedding. Our immediate family (our married children and grandchildren) stayed at the Wedding Cake Mansion. We could not have found a more perfect place to stay. This beautiful home became our home for a few days and we fell in love with it. Thank it!

February 2022 Stay

My husband and I were married on 2/19/22 in Savannah and no other place could have been more perfect than the Wedding cake mansion. That being said, it's not without faults. In my opinion, it's time the property receive some in-depth maintenance so it's incredible beauty won't be dimmed for future visitors. The bathroom by the kitchen in the main house has a nearly-broken doorknob and the paint on the toilet seat is chipped. The cushion fillings in all the seats are worn and sagging, almost non-existent. The blue chairs in the living room and the chairs in the dinning room are stained and could use some deep cleaning or reupholstery. The courtyard and front steps need a deep pressure clean because they're very dirty. There are paint touch-ups throughout the property that are blatantly visible because the colors don't match up perfectly with the rest of the wall and they were done quite sloppily. There were several lightbulbs in the 3 properties that needed replacement because they'd gone out. Lastly, the third floor of the main house was uncomfortably warm on a pleasant February day - even with the ceiling fans turned on so I cannot imagine it in the Summer. Again, I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else but it's precisely because the property is so magnificent that these things which can be easily fixed are such big eye sores. Would love to stay again with my family in the future.

The sink in the master bathroom got backed up and started to leak on the floor. We got everything cleaned up but someone should look into it. 2. The towels in the place were of poor quality and there were not enough. We had several of the people staying with us complain. Overall these were not huge issues and everything was great but we wanted to let you know.

On the first night the people that stayed on the third floor noticed a water leak that seemed to be coming through the ceiling fan. A trash can was placed to catch the water and a call was placed to the management. A second call was placed the next day when no one showed. This time, we advised that the water was now going into the second floor. The problem was fixed the next day. (Pump malfunction). Personal Items were left in kitchen and a call was placed to have them located. They were and was told they would be mailed. That was 2 weeks ago. Value over $200 but still waiting. The location is great and the facility is indicative of the old South.
