The place was beautiful, access to hiking and gravel biking was great, the pool and bathrooms and kitchen all felt clean and worked properly, and the building was a lovely gem with a lot of character. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Thank you for everything you put into it.

If you are looking for a beautiful, well-appointed and wonderfully restored farmhouse in the country, you’ve found it. Everything about our experience renting Mas du Grand Bausset was easy, from finding it, and being welcomed by the friendly and enthusiastic caretaker to settling in and wishing we could always live there. From this house, it is an easy and gorgeous walk to the village of Ménerbes where we ate well, and enjoyed the market and the views. The owners have thoughtfully provided bikes to ride and games to play in the yard or around the pool. Every corner of this property is beautifully maintained. We have rented quite a number of houses now In our travels, and this one tops them all.

Rural idyll in Provence

A stunningly beautiful restoration in keeping with the Mas’s history & traditional style, and the photos do show what the property actually offers! Location was beautiful, in farmland and an easy stroll into the charming little village of Menerbes. The owners have provided every convenience and comfort imaginable, with everything from pool toys to a well-stocked kitchen and a lovely welcome hamper. The managers were delightful & really responsive to any requests. Highly recommended!

A perfect stay

If you know the Luberon you will know that it is a beautiful part of France. We have stayed in the Luberon on four previous occasions in four different “mas”. Each has been lovely, but Mas du Grand Bousset is very special. It is immediately apparent on arrival that this is more than another very nice rental property. It feels like a home, and indeed it is. It has been lovingly restored, furnished and equipped. We wanted for nothing. We can endorse the accuracy of all the other reviews. The owner is very helpful and easy to deal with. He is supported locally by Sylvia and Chris, the property managers, who are exceptionally responsive to any queries. Perhaps the most helpful comment I can add is that we were so captivated by the Mas that we booked to return before we had left.

Le Luberon sans bling-bling

Séjour très agréable au fond du vallon à Menerbes? dans ce très jolis mas

Nous avons passé une jolie semaine en février à Menerbes au Mas du Grand Bosset. La maison est spacieuse, très bien aménagée, avec ses 4 chambres et ses 4 salles de bains. La cuisine est parfaitement dotée en ustensiles et plats pour cuisiner sans problème. Tout était très propre. Il faut simplement ne pas faire des feux de cheminée pour éviter de déclencher l'alarme! La terrasse extérieure est très agréable, même au mois de février. L'endroit est à recommander. Eté comme hiver!

Perfect in every way!

There really are no words to express just how in awe we were of this beautiful mas. The pictures, although gorgeous, really don't do it justice. We give this home and the property a perfect 10! We've stayed in many rentals, and never have we experienced anything as wonderful as this home. The decor was incredibly beautiful, the pool pristine, the beds perfect, the grounds over the top gorgeous, the kitchen stocked with anything and everything you could possibly imagine (and all top of the line) and the location couldn't be any better. Philip was wonderful to work with and responded promptly to all of our questions. Sylvia was the most kind, helpful and welcoming house manager that we've ever experienced. If I could live in my dream home, it would look exactly like this property. Thank you Philip for sharing your beautiful home with our family and helping us to create memories to last a lifetime. We hope to be back again one day!

Fabulous villa

The mas was absolutely beautiful- very well appointed and supplied with everything you could need- we loved the pool and location, accessible to lovely Ménerbes by bike (provided) or a reasonable walk. Perfect holiday location for an extended family gathering.

An oasis of calm in the Luberon

This is a lovely property that has been beautifully renovated and decorated. The house has everything needed for a very special holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large table and the 3 double bedrooms we used were very comfortable with excellent bathrooms. The pool is large with sun loungers and plenty of shade if needed. Eating outdoors in the courtyard in the evenings was a joy. Ménerbes is only a 25 minute walk away for morning walks to the boulangerie and evening strolls to restaurants. A fabulous property in a beautiful part of Provence.

Beautiful home in a superb location in the Luberon

We had a terrific time at this beautiful restored farmhouse in a remote location in Provence, with easy access to hiking, biking, wineries, scenic towns and excellent restaurants. The property manager was friendly and helpful and there were no hassles at all during our stay. The drive was a little off the beaten path which made for a very peaceful vacation. Highly recommended!

An extraordinary country house!

The Mas du Grand Bausset is truly a little slice of paradise!!! The house is simply stunning: completely renovated with exquisite taste (so many small, stylish and unique touches!), it incorporates all modern amenities while respecting the wonderful historic character of the place. It is also very well appointed: top-quality towels and bed-linen, beautiful and plentiful tableware, fully-equipped kitchen, etc. It was such a pleasure setting up picture-perfect dinner tables inside or out in the courtyard! The Mas is set in a beautiful spot: isolated for peace and quiet, but within walking distance of Ménerbes village (a 2.5km walk on a very small (and lovely) country road) - a very pleasant walk early in the morning to pick fresh croissants. We were also able to pick up the marked hiking trails of the Parc régional naturel du Luberon from the link provided by Filip on the Mas' website - from right outside the house - no need to drive to a trailhead parking! We really appreciated the many small touches intended to facilitate our stay (stocking of basic spices, coffee, sugar, cleaning products, etc. and a welcome gift-basket from Filip). Silvia (property manager) who met us on arrival was charming and very helpful. She took the time to tour the house with us to ensure that we had all the information needed and encouraged us to call her if we had any queries. The Mas du Grand Bausset clearly stands out from other properties that we have rented in the past. It is exceptional - we loved it and hope to be back soon! One thing that should be noted: except for two of the bedrooms, the house is not air conditioned (it is stated on the detailed description but had somehow escaped me). Given the thickness of the walls, the house does remain fairly cool. The non-air conditioned bedrooms and the kitchen can get a bit warm at times. Screens in the windows - at least in these rooms - would be an appreciated "plus" to take advantage of the end-of-day breeze without worrying about uninvited guests...
