Spring break getaway

The Appleseed cabin was perfect for our short stay over spring break. My oldest son enjoyed fishing in the pond near the cabin and we all enjoyed hiking the property and relaxing in the hot tub. It was close to all the main hocking hills trails and grocery stores as well. Great location, quuet and clean, we would stay here again!

Lovely family stay

Absolutely adorable little cabin perfect for a small family stay. We went early in the week and pretty much had the place to ourselves. The trails were beautiful and the cabin itself wasnt far from local attractions. We are already planning on returning!

Appleseed stay

Nice, it was too hot when we stayed and waterfalls were dried up. Toilet seat was loose. No regular antenna on the TV. Other then that still nice.

Great Stay and Convenient Location!

We loved the little cottage and really appreciated the on-site play structure and hiking trails. Easy to get to, quick drive to major hiking areas and the grocery store. Highly recommend!

Family Getaway

We had such a wonderful time at Appleseed. It was the perfect size for our family and cute as can be. My kids absolutely loved the loft bedroom upstairs, and the fairy lights over the bed. The whole cottage was clean and nicely decorated. It was well stocked with all the necessities when we arrived too. The real star is the grounds though! Beautiful landscape, private trail and waterfall. We were right next to everything - the playground, fishing pond, private trails, access to wood and charcoal. You couldn't ask for better accessibility. The owners were wonderful with communication. I heard from them when we booked, about a week before a trip and when potentially high winds came through while we were there they reached out again to check-in with us and provide helpful information. We can't wait for our next stay!

Weekend away

The cabin was as expected. Very clean and the owners were exceptional with communication. It could use a little TLC in a couple areas but absolutely nothing that would hinder any body staying there. Over all everything was good and clean and we would definitely stay again in the future.

Beautiful, Cozy, and Clean!

The property is beautiful, spacious, and easy to find. The actual cabin is accurate in its listing, very well equipped with amenities and utensils and supplies. Most places to stay have the basic cups, bowls, and towels. This place truly exceeded expectations. We were able to make and serve soup for our group of four, grill hotdogs and corn outside, make morning toast and coffee, and take a dip in the hot tub, already at temperature for us, and EXTREMELY clean! The bed sheets and linen had no fuzz or hair in it because the owners actually cleaned. It was quite a dream, as sometimes we have stayed at places where the sheets and towels are not clean! The TV, though not a main attraction for us, had a roku, so we were able to watch our favorite shows together at night! The main attraction for us was hocking hills. This location was a simply 20-25 minute drive for us to hocking hills, so we actually had time for a hefty 9 mile hike at hocking hills, with plenty of time to stop around town for ice cream and wine! Also, I don’t particularly mind if furniture matches or has any particular aesthetic, however, this stay had a cute vibe with similar furniture throughout, with hints of a mid century modern look, which is actually a favorite of mine. So that was a plus for just how well put together this stay was! Nothing but excellent things to say about the cabin. Truly beautiful property and beautifully kept cabin, cozy and well equipped, and clean in every way! Easily a favorite place and would love to come Back for more than three days!

Lovely cabin

Beautiful place to stay. The trails and waterfall were amazing. The hot tub was a bonus, especially after a long hike. Definitely sleep in the loft area, the bed is much better than the other one. Percolator needs cleaned more often, it didn’t work and we really wanted coffee. But it was fine and it was an all around great experience.
