We will certainly take your comments into account. Certainly the heat and the sudden onslaught of mosquitoes was out of the ordinary. Your short stay (two nights) did not allow you to notify us to take care of the unfortunate situation. We too were warned of the presence of a third child (seven people in all) only at the last one. Terremo sicuramente conto delle vostre osservazioni. Certamente il caldo e l'improvviso assalto di zanzare sono stati fuori dall'ordinario. Il vostro soggiorno così breve (due notti) non vi ha consentito di avvisarci per provvedere alla spiacevole situazione. Anche noi siamo stati avvisati della presenza di un terzo bambino (in tutto sette persone) solo allì'ultimo.

We want to let you know that, unfortunately, the evening when the gentlemen arrived was closed for work Via del Brennero, the main road to Lucca, and the intense traffic had been diverted into our street, via Napoli. We thank you for the kind comments you made about us owners. These are followed by specific, yet completely inaccurate, criticisms of the apartment. But let's go in order: the kitchen door sometimes closes with difficulty but in front of it there is a very strong new double door, with relative key that works very well and separates the inside from the outside (hence the uselessness of the guest's 'safety lock').The gas stove works perfectly and is very easy to light: just press the chosen button and turn it in the right direction. The refrigerator does not have protruding handles but a special space on the doors to rest your hand and conveniently open. There were five large coffee cups plus three huge ones, then there were about ten small cups (for Italian coffee). We also had a machine to make Italian coffee and a container full of such good coffee. We are sorry that you had to use a pot to heat the water when the kettle used by the foreigners was placed on the table on the ground floor because I left it in the sun to dry after rinsing it. All you had to do was ask, we would show it to you. Unfortunately, the apartment, does not have a living room: hence the lack of adequate furniture, but not of places to sit, beyond the kitchen chairs. Honestly, we don't understand your difficulty in sitting in the bathroom, because the bathroom is large and also equipped for disabled people. The mosquitoes at the end of October are due to the particular climate of this year and in any case there are economic remedies to provide for them and, in any case, no one has ever complained like this. Sensitivity to too much hardness or softness of the bed and pillows responds to the subjectivity of each person and does not apply to everyone in the same way. Finally: the sheet on the double bed is not new: but we had chosen to use it because it has beautiful handmade embroidery typical of Pistoia. However, if you didn't appreciate them, in the wardrobe there were other pairs of sheets, white and absolutely new that you could take and use. We gloss over other laughable observations (centimeters of pillows etc) and remain sorry for your difficulties (which could have been resolved simply by talking about it) We were also surprised as none of your critical comments had ever been made by other guests. Having clarified your critical observations on our part, we greet you with sympathy.
