Great Property

We had a great stay (besides a slight delay in being able to check in), we were very happy with our stay. House was clean and had all the things we needed. Great location to beach, food and shopping. Would stay again.

An AMAZING place!

I came out with my fiancé for our wedding. We had 4 of our children ranging in ages from 12 to 19. This place was amazing! There was plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of restrooms and all the amenities were absolutely perfect. The location was awesome and everything was close by. It is definitely a place we will stay at again in the future! Love it!!

Wonderful location, well maintained

Very comfortable, well maintained. Nice to have yard. Walking distance to lovely beaches. Check in, Resort Cabana very nice people . Kids loved the pool waterfall and pool. Only complaint was odor in or near garage- mothballs or new tires?

KAUAI ADVENTURE

This home was the perfect stay for our group of 10 friends. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the the general layout of the home was perfect. Living and dining room are adjacent to double door access to the lenai. Kauai as a whole was an absolutely breathtaking experience and the ease and hospitality of Paradise Suites on both the front and back end of the trip was much appreciated.

Nice Place and Location

The house was in a great location, close to Poipu Beach with access to the athletic club. The club provides access to the gym and a pool area which is great for our kids. The house only has AC in the main bedroom upstairs, luckily the weather was relatively cool with the rain so it breezy most of the day throughout the house. The extra fans also help when air flow was lacking and at night time when doors/windows are closed. Our family of 4 adults and 3 children enjoyed our stay here.

Great For Business

I myself did not stay at this house, but my employees did let me know about their stay. My employees were blown away at how much space there was, I had 5 guys in this rental and they all stayed there very comfortably. The managing company/owner made accommodations for a roll away bed on the day of their arrival due to the pull out couches being too close to open them both up, it was very nice of them to do that. My guys said the beds were comfortable and the house itself was very clean. They had everything they needed for their stay, I recommend this place for business or big families!

Home Away From Home!

This was by far my most favorite place I have ever stayed, even better than a resort. The house was impeccably clean and fresh, and they provided us with more than enough towels (bath, hand, face, and beach) for the week. The neighborhood was great, very short walking distance to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach. Super close drive to everything else on the south shore. I very much appreciated the two packets of coffee to start us off before we could go get groceries, and the laundry pods and dishwashing detergent they provided. The ladies at the check in counter were also very courteous and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here, we felt very at home as a family of five with three kids 11 and under! (Oh the only thing I forgot to tell them was that the coffee grinder doesn’t work, just FYI, you might want to get a new one) Mahalo!

Highly Recommend

I’ve been to Kauai many times, often staying at the Hyatt Poipu. With the group we had, a house made more sense. This house is in a great location, very close to the Hyatt and walking distance to nearby beaches, places to eat, and hikes. House was very clean and had all we needed. Privileges at the athletic club are a great feature. We worried about prior reviews about a smell, but there wasn’t any unusual smell. Only concern of note is that there’s only a/c for 2nd floor primary bedroom - none for rest of the house. Was a bit stifling at times, but generally ok for our March visit. I’d be wary if coming over the summer. At this price point, the owner should seriously consider adding a/c to rest of the house. Mahalo!

Great stay in Poipu

We had a really great stay at this home. We were 6 adults +2 young children and the house was a great size for us. Clean, comfortable, great location and came equipped with pretty much all that we needed. The only small negative thing was the checkout process. I asked for a late check out when we arrived, and was told to ask again 24 hours before checkout. I called 24 hours before we left and was told we cannot have a late checkout. I understand that it cannot always be granted but 10 am is quite early to check out and we had two young children with us and they wouldn’t even give us an extra 15 mins when I asked. Not only that, about 15 minutes before 10am, someone came to drop off towels at our home for the next guest - not sure why that couldn’t wait till 10. On top of that, they asked for the keys to be back by 10 am in their office so we had to drive there. It was only a few mins drive but everything takes a long time with small kids. Other than that small annoying issue, I’d def recommend this home for anyone who is looking to have a great, relaxing time in Kauai.

Kauai Vacation

Positive: The property was clean and well maintained. It is in a nice area close to the beach and several resorts and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware, utensils and cookware and the television and internet worked well. The BBQ grill was nice. The access to the neighborhood fitness center (about a mile away) was a plus. Negative: The two beds in one bedroom were very small twins only suitable for small children. They were not good for our two six four plus tall sons. The house did not have furniture on many of the exterior patios. There was no air conditioning in the main house (only the bedrooms). The house had very limited cleaning supplies (one roll of paper towels and one small sponge) and none of the items we typically expect to find in this type of fully furnished short term vacation rental. For example, there were no storage bags, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, oil, non-stick spray or spices. Salt and pepper was provided in two tiny packages similar to what you might receive with an airplane meal. Beach chairs were provided but there was no cooler or beach toys (except boogie boards).

Pros and cons

Pros:Location was close to the beach, within walking distance and close to local shopsHouse was clean and well appointed with kitchen dishware, cooking tools, utensilsLayout was nice for kids that can sleep independently Lots of full bathrooms on each floor for convenience Spacious, brightLots of comfortable seating (kids particularly loved the swiveling love seat and lazy boy)Lots of outdoor space for dining/loungingCons:The house is right on a corner with more traffic than I expected. The headlights from cars shines right into the bedrooms at night and was kind of disruptive for sleeping (may I recommend blackout curtains?)The garage had a strong gas or burnt rubber smell that seeped into the adjoining hallway and nearest bedroom AC is only in the bedrooms and not in the shared spacesThe master bathroom shower water temperature was not adjustable AT ALL. we were ok w/ the scorching hot water but it sucked to not have an option to adjust it. The front door lock was a huge pain in the @ss. The check in clerk warned us about this and we ended up having to call maintenance to come and let us in and show us how to work it. She mentioned that it was a reoccurring issue. All bathrooms come w/ “conditioning shampoo” and no actual conditioner. I was annoyed that i had to go to the store for something that should be provided at these prices. Individually these things might not bother me, but collectively, i felt slightly annoyed at multiple points of each day

Thank you, Tien, for sharing your personal experience of your stay. I'd like to address some of the cons you mentioned, as I believe we were completely transparent with our photos and descriptions. We regret learning about these issues only upon your departure, as we have staff available daily to assist with any concerns. Yes, this home is located on the corner of a road, as shown in our photos (including aerial views). All bedrooms have window and door covers to provide privacy for your ohana. Each home is individually owned and styled according to the owner's preferences. Unfortunately, blackout curtains would detract from the vibrant and beautiful surroundings that our guests genuinely appreciate. I'm trying to visualize which room the cars would disrupt, as there is a fence providing privacy for the bedroom facing the road. The other bedroom overlooks the backyard, away from the road, and the primary bedroom faces the road but also has window covers. This is the first report I've had regarding the vehicles, and I'd like to hear more about your comment: "The headlights from cars shine right into the bedrooms at night and were kind of disruptive for sleeping." The AC in this home is a split air conditioning system with ceiling fans in all rooms to help circulate cool air throughout the home. The AC locations are also shown in our photos and listed in our description. Regarding the shower, there are temperature knobs located in the primary bedroom, which can also be seen in the photo. Had we known about this issue, we would have been there to assist or provide guidance. The door locks are new to our program, and our staff who prepare your accommodation relay details of any issues with the door lock to our maintenance team. The items we supply for guests are just a starter pack for a day or two, as we are not a full-service resort. However, if you had requested a few additional items, we would have gladly delivered them to you or you could have retrieved them from our office during business hours. Our committed front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff were available every day to promptly attend to any inquiries or concerns you encountered during your stay. We apologize that you were unable to utilize our services to their fullest capabilities during your stay. If you love the smell of moth balls then this place is for you

Nice house. Photos are outdated for furnishings and wall colors. Upon check in for a 10 day stay, we opened the door to an unpleasant smell. After opening the garage to get beach chairs and do laundry the odor emanating was overwhelming. In no time the order made its way throughout the house. It ultimately permeated our clothes. We had a manager come to the home to help figure out the source of the noxious odor. No remedy was offered and we were financially deep into this rental and couldn’t move elsewhere. Management did not offer us another place to stay so we were between a rock and a hard place. A refund was promised and we thought that was fair. Imagine our surprise to learn it was for a very small amount. VRBO doesn’t let dollar amounts into their reviews but what we paid was considerable and what we were refunded equaled one night. We truly expected, based on the manager’s feedback on the very unfortunate smell, to receive something commensurate with the problem. We were very disappointed in Suite Paradise and will never book through them again. So, if you want to pay top dollar for a rental, and don’t mind a headache inducing odor, then this house is perfect for you.
