Such a cute cottage. Provided everything we needed for our time in Door County. The beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan were a bonus, as were the deer and hummingbirds. We loved it; probably one of the top vrbo places we have stayed.

The Stuga was absolutely divine! The whole cottage was perfect. Comfy beds, complete kitchen and relaxing living room. We will be booking this cottage again.

Perfect little cottage

Cute and Charming

Charming cottage with sweetest host. We did not get to enjoy the outdoors much due to weather and bugs, but the yard was large and had everything you needed. Would definitely recommend if you want to be away from it all, but next time we will stay more centrally located in Door County.

It was a great place to stay. The host was very responsive and helpful. The place was very well equipped with everything you need for cooking. The view from the house to the lake was very pretty as well, and you can make a little bonfire to relax with the view of the lake. The host had all the materials for making a fire and they even left some things for s’mores . We definitely come back.

Loved it!

We were extremely pleased with the cottage! Although it was small they efficiently used every available space well! It was surprising that there were 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! The location was very nice and quiet. Beautiful view of the lake! Highly recommend this location for a nice quiet getaway!!!!!!

What a lovely place! We were welcomed by the host upon arrival and she even gave us a few local recommendations that were good for kids for our weekend. The cottage was perfect for our family of four, and had all we needed to cook meals and relax together during our stay. The kids (5 & 3) really loved the swings on the property and the beach was great for viewing sunsets and stars. The eat-in kitchen was cozy, but it was also nice to have the outdoor table and chairs to enjoy a nice evening. Especially appreciated were the puzzles and books, lots of linens, well stocked kitchen, cozy decor, and kindness of the host! We had an excellent experience and would stay here again.

Wonderful getaway

What a wonderful place the Stuga is for a relaxing weekend getaway. My two daughters, young grandson and myself enjoyed several days at the Stuga. Our host was most gracious and the Stuga is so very warm and inviting, right down to the wonderful selection of books, soft lighting and the little touches that made us feel right at home. The location is quiet and off the beaten path. Perfect for anyone looking for a quiet time enjoying nature.

This little guest house was perfect for my little family of 3. Right on the water. Barbro was such a sweet woman. Nice and close to a boat launch, perfect for my husband who is an avid fisherman. Perfect quiet getaway!!

Cozy & Quiet

This little cottage nestled in the woods, surrounded by wildlife (saw 4 deer in the yard and 7 wild turkeys!) was very clean, and quite. Beautiful yard and outdoor seating area! Very well equipted with everything you will need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The only downside were the mattresses in the small bedroom need replacing.

Absolutely Delightful!

It is a wonderful cottage that is very reminiscent of the stugas our family has stayed in in Sweden. Was in a very quiet and beautiful area. It was the restful peaceful atmosphere that we were looking for away from the hustle and bustle of the city/suburbs. I have very severe asthma and I had no problems whatsoever here and actually breathed better here than at home! We’ve already recommended this place to friends and family was delighted by the pictures we sent them.

Peaceful VRBO

This area is so peaceful. We sat by the water even when it was a bit chilly. The view is spectacular. The house is small but for just perfect for the 2 of us. You’d have to walk a few yards and pass the main house to get to their backyard where the fire pit is and the stairs to the water. The area is quiet and not busy at all and no traffic We enjoyed the fall colors and scenic driving entering Idlewild .
