The house was perfect for our stay and well able to accommodate our family of ten to celebrate my and my husband's birthdays. The outside eating areas were wonderful for our large family, but the large kitchen table was equally good when we needed to eat inside. The kitchen too was very well equipped and it was very good to have the use of a washing machine and dishwasher. The pool was wonderful, both for adults and children, and the shallow end was perfect for our five-year old grandson who is learning to swim. The other activities, such as the garden swing, ping-pong and badminton were also great for the children. Communication with Thierry was excellent: both before and during our trip, any queries were answered extremely promptly, and Thierry went out of his way to provide all the required equipment for the two babies in our party and other necessities. Check-in and check-out were also easy, with clear instructions for both. Thank you, Thierry, for a really lovely week!

Amazing house with beautiful pool

We had a fabulous 2 week holiday in this sympathetically restored house. It was extremely spacious inside and out with plenty of room for outdoor games. There was even room to set up badminton in the barn, which was great fun. The pool was simply amazing, which we really enjoyed every day. Location is a little remote so own transport advisable. The photos on the site just don’t do this house and pool justice. The Vinson family

A fantastic "get away"

A lovely two weeks away. Prior to and even upon arriving, Thierry was first class in communication. The pool is huge and was the main attraction (it is very, very deep too which was great for us swimmers). Local amenities are around a 15 drive to LeClerc and similar for your weekly shops which was good. The "cinema room" in the pictures do not do it justice. It really was fantastic. The sound system was great and the size of the picture beamed onto the wall was brilliant. Table tennis under the barn was exceptional and another favorite. There is plenty to do within the property and grounds. Thierry was always on hand (despite not being there in person) to answer any questions. We had a brilliant and much needed stay away, the big home has everything a large family of all ages: a huge swimming pool, lovely sunsets, table tennis, movie room, a large dining room/kitchen, lounge and huge spacious bedrooms. In these unprecedented times, we were in a safe, clean and spacious environment. We would all thoroughly recommend to anyone interested

Mansion in Marsais, Nouvelle Aquitaine

I booked this lovely old French mansion to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday with my family and some friends (8 people in total). The house was spacious with multiple rooms and bedrooms (with comfy beds) over 3 floors and had a large garden leading to the pool - the entire property is basically surrounded by fields. We liked waking up to the sound of the nearby cockerel - it reminded us that we were in the country! If you're after peace & quiet, this is the perfect location. The large town of Niort is about 25 mins away by car. We were surprised at how hot the weather was and really pleased with the open air large swimming pool - the water quality was excellent due to the modern robot cleaner and properly functioning filters. Our Golden Retriever dog was able to find shade under the many trees and on the nice cold stone floor in the kitchen/living room (we kept the shutters semi-shut to keep the temperature down inside). The kitchen was large and very well furnished with plenty of good kitchen utensils and a giant fridge-freezer that worked perfectly (unlike in other places we've booked via Vrbo). We enjoyed playing on the excellent quality table-tennis table in the barn. The host was friendly and responsive via Vrbo messaging.

tres bien

lors de vacances début juillet 2019 nous avons pu profiter d'un splendide et spacieux logis (a conseiller aux amoureux de grands espaces) la piscine bien ensoleillée a fait le bonheur des jeunes. coté cuisine une gazinière godin et un frigo xxl assuraient. Coté pratique internet et wifi sans problème et un grand parking ainsi qu'un propriétaire (au contact facile) dynamique et organisé rassuraient. Un seul regret ne pas être restés plus longtemps
