Perfect Weekend!

We all enjoyed the stay! The house was clean, beds were comfy, lots of extra towels & the location was perfect!!! We really loved the private walk to the beach! The house was stocked with lots of necessities! Perfect family or girls weekend spot!!!

Wonderful!

Our whole party had an epic time here! The property was flawless (we had some trouble with the oven but the owner was on it asap) and the location couldn’t have been better. The walkover to the beach was a huge bonus and the view from the sitting area on it was amazing! We used that a lot. The owner was responsive and fun to communicate with. We all definitely recommend. Our family is currently building a beachfront home down the beach a ways but if we weren’t we would rent this place again and again!

Terrific spot on the beach

Loved the property. Very clean, great space for a family. Fantastic that it has its own yard and private boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. Host is very responsive and helpful. Can't go wrong if with this place if you want to take your family to the beach.

Property needed some attention

The location and the overall house was fabulous! There were several things that needed attention on the property, these things caused our stay to be a bit troublesome. If we would of been told upfront about the possible issues, we would not of rented the property. The owner/property manager, who is a very pleasant & nice person was aware of the possible issues with the appliances, plumbing and non working hottub but failed to mention in advance before we rented the house.

Perfect Spring Break

We had a wonderful time at Moss Landing. Everything was exactly the way it was described. We had two families, 4 adults and 4 kids and we felt like we had more than enough room. I really feel you get a 5 star experience at this home.

Perfection on the Beach

This is our favorite vacation rental we have used! The home is beautiful and everything we needed was right there. Cooking in the fabulous kitchen was even part of the fun. One of everyone's favorite amenities was the walkover to the beach! Thank you for our wonderful stay!!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

Our trip to Crystal Beach and stay at Moss Landing was absolutely perfect! First, let me just emphasis that this house is GORGEOUS; not only is this home beautifully decorated, it is located front row, providing breathtaking beach views and unmatched convenience (the private walk way was perfect - esp with two small children and our beach equipment). Moss Landing is also immaculate and spacious. Our party consisted of 5 adults and 3 children (age 9, 4, and 2). There was MORE than enough room for us all. My small boys loved the bunk room, plus it was nice having two king-sized beds available (both of which were sooooo comfortable). My niece loved the small nook (not pictured in the listing), that housed a twin bed. We were all able to hang out in the kitchen, the living room, or even outside - and never did we feel cramped. Also, I must mention the attention to detail in this home: light switches were labeled; there is an amazing sand box stocked full of toys for smaller children; a gorgeous covered ground-floor patio; an amazing master bathroom; and a convenient/private outdoor shower. Furthermore, Moss Landing comes fully stocked with bath and beach towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies (including Pyrex dishes for beach treats, margarita glasses, a cheese grater, wine opener, coffee - all of which came in handy), and beach equipment (including beach chairs, fold out tables, floats, beach balls, umbrellas, and more). I definitely can not say enough good things about this beautiful home and Mr. Moss. He was responsive, attentive, informative and organized. Seriously, if you are looking at other VRBO properties, do yourself a favor - stop now and book this property!

Beautiful Home 
 perfect location

Would stay there again. The owner was very responsive and accommodating to any issues that came up. The palm trees in the yard block the beach view a little, which made it a little difficult watching the kids from the porch while they play on the beach. Beautiful views though and the home is very nicely decorated.

Terrific house

Our granddaughter was in a cheer competition in Galveston so we decided to make a long weekend of it. The house and property was even nicer than expected. We had 6 adults and 5 children and had plenty of room. The kids loved the private access to the beach and the hot tub was great at the end of the day. Everything was provided that we needed. We would make this our first choice if we are in that area again

An exceptional home in a spectacular location

What a place! By the end of our first hour in the hot tub watching the pelicans soar by, we were already plotting when we could return for another visit. My family (including my parents, husband, and toddler) had a wonderful time at Moss Landing. The house was beautifully designed and well appointed: it was great to stay in a house with such a well-outfitted kitchen and pantry, and every time we wondered where something was (beach towels? toilet paper?) it was all there with lots to spare. My little one loved the sandbox, and we all loved watching the waves from the table on the walkway to the beach. The property owner was quick to respond to questions during our stay, and he offered some great recommendations on local places to buy supplies and grab take-out. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The views are amazing and the private boardwalk to the beach was so nice and convenient. Great beach house!

This home is spectacularly decorated yet comfortable at the same time. Every detail is thought of including luxury bath products and linen. Ocean view from every room, and windows across the entire main living area. My family had a blast, kids enjoyed driving beach with golf carts.

Gorgeous home and gracious host! The smarthome features, the views, the hot tub, the sand pit and the house themselves are wonderful but the boardwalk/walk over is truly the standout. I imagine it's even more fun during the summer. Recommend highly.

We love this house

Beautiful view. We loved everything about this house. The steps were a little difficult for my husband because he has bad knees and has injured both of them in the past year. I believe the listing said no pets allowed but there seemed to be what looked like dog hair on some of the floors and under furniture if you looked under there. I look because I have kids and want to take all their items home at the end of our stay. We loved the design of the home, furniture, and decor. You now have us wanting a beach house! The private access to the beach was wonderful! Beds were super comfy. The outdoor furniture was nice and comfy. Loved the newly added sandbox. The hot tub was also comfortable. We've been in some that were not. We loved it here and would all like to come back again!

Celebrated a birthday weekend and this property far exceeded our expectation.

We’ve rented many places in the past and this is probably the NICEST rental. Worth every penny! Highly recommend it for families or even a couple’s getaway. The home was beautiful, bright/cheery, well kept, and superbly clean. It was also very well stocked with basic necessities and much more...making our stay even more pleasant! The layout of the home is amazing, with wonderful views from every room. Check-in and check-out process was easy and the owner was very responsive, friendly, and beyond accommodating/gracious to our group. We will definitely be back in the near future to this little paradise!

Excellent Stay

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. We have traveled to other beaches both nationally and internationally. This was definitely a wonderful trip, and we will be going back! The house is beautiful, spacious, has all amenities (more than expected), all rooms placed perfectly for views, decks and covered areas have plenty of breeze, private boardwalk access from the backyard to the beach, and home is set up with smart-home features and modern technology. Absolutely, no complaints. We just returned, but are planning our next trip to the house! Love it!

Beautiful Luxury Home Right On The Beach!

Moss Landing is one of the most stylish and comfortable VRBO rentals I have ever had the privilege to stay in. The design of the home , along with the quality linens, bedding, gourmet kitchen, HD AV equipment, & many amenities surpass even the best five-star hotel suite experience. We enjoyed the beach, the cool breezes on the back balcony overlooking the beach, sport fishing, and great seafood. We will be back & we will refer our friends!

Great house, great location

We stayed at this house a few weeks ago for my wife's 40th. It's a very comfortable house with a great view of the water and the walkway going from the backyard to the beach is a nice added bonus. The owner was very helpful if I had any questions, quick to respond and very friendly.

I am a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams and my spouse has worked at IBM for the last 25 years. We both grew up in Brownwood, Texas where we graduated from Brownwood High School.

We then went on to become alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin and made Georgetown, Texas our home. We have two wonderful kids. Major (age 16) who loves soccer, tennis, and, we're proud to say, is a straight A student. And, Hillary (age 7) who is in charge of everything that goes on in the family it seems. We say she's going to be a CEO or even a politician some day. For now though, she loves animals and playing with any Barbie Doll Playhouse we can find.

We've traveled the world visiting over 45 countries on every continent except Antarctica which is on our bucket list. After all the travel and now that the kids are older, we find that relaxing on the beach and soaking in the sea air and views with the family is where we find the most joy.

We hope our home will bring joy to you and your loved ones as well.

Our family has deep roots in the area going back to before the great storm of 1900 that completely destroyed Galveston, our ancestral family home included.

Three years ago, we visited our in-laws who had a home on the island and fell in love with the area and especially the people. We've never met an unkind person who is a resident of the area. The Bolivar Peninsula is steeped in history and was actually named after Simon Bolivar who was instrumental in liberating Texas and most of South America from Spanish rule in the 1800s.

We chose this property because of the unique architecture and solid build of the home. The home was originally built by the area's top builder to be his family's personal home. No expense was spared and the house was built right with high-end finishes and quality workmanship.

We looked for our Beach house for over 5 years up and down the coasts of Texas, Louisiana, and even Florida before we found this home. It was the cozy, family-oriented configuration, the large windows bringing gorgeous sunlight in throughout every room in the house, and the fact that almost every room has an ocean view that made us fall in love with this home and make it our own.
