The cabin is beautifully decorated and Mountain Views from the porch are stunning.There is a wonderful waterfall to enjoy nearby you can drive up to. There are atv trails and walking trails to explore. We really enjoyed our weekend.

Great community and lovely cabin. Great weekend getaway, convenient to lots of area activities. Would definitely stay there again!

Place was very nice with a great view. Outdoor fire pit would make this place perfect. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

From the moment we arrived, everything was effortless. It was easy to find the property, and as soon as we stepped out of the car, we couldn’t believe how beautiful the scenery was. Truly magnificent — serene, peaceful, and exactly the kind of place you hope for when booking a getaway.The home itself is just as impressive. The spiral staircase immediately caught our eye, and we absolutely loved the décor. You can tell the owners put so much thought into every detail. Nothing felt cheap or thrown together; everything was clearly chosen with quality and comfort in mind. As someone who doesn’t drink coffee, I especially adored the tea selection — such a thoughtful touch that made me feel seen as a guest. The space was roomy, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing. Communication with the owners was incredibly easy, and their responses were always quick and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing house with spectacular view!

The Sun Lodge was everything we wanted for a mountain vacation. The house felt like home thanks to Linda and Greg. We couldn't get enough of the view! Can't wait to visit again!

Amazing stay!! Perfect cabin.

Second time staying here that’s how much we enjoyed the cabin and our stay, the view is breathtaking, location is good close to bigger towns around. The communication with the management is great, you are not going to have an issue at all, cabin spotless clean and fully furnished and kitchen fully equipped as well, great for families stays. Could not recommend this property enough is great 10 out of 10 for everything.

Absolutely gorgeous cabin both Internally and externally. Linda and Greg are great communicators. Would recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. I will definitely be retuning with the family.

Beautiful Stay In The Mountains

Wonderful cabin with a view to die for. We could have spent the whole weekend sitting on the deck but we would have missed the beautiful interior with any amenity you could ask for, comfortable bed and fully stocked kitchen. Thank you to the owners for making their home available for others to enjoy. Hopefully, we can visit again.

Sun Lodge review

The good: Beautiful views and cabin. Comfortable beds, good location to Boone and Wilkesboro The bad: only one TV downstairs in the main bedroom, spiral stairs upstairs and downstairs.

Thank you for your response. We clearly state in our description "****IMPORTANT: Please note the staircases are spiral and are tight. You will need to watch your step. Please keep this in mind if booking with small children or elderly travelers." We also state that we have one tv. We pride ourselves on having a top notch home and we consistently get 5 star reviews. Its unfortunate to get less than that because a renter didn't read the description of the property.

If you are looking for a breathtaking view of the mountains this is it!! Cabin is fully equipped, the view is amazing, the owners are so welcoming, great communication, they took care of every little detail during our stay, everything you need they have it for you and your family. They are very thoughtful and kind, we already booked our next stay! That’s how much we love and enjoyed our stay!

Little paradise on the top of the mountain

Paradise in the mountains

If two sets of spiral stairs separating the living / sleeping areas would not bother you then this is the place for you.

Pleasant stay

We really liked the property. It rained the whole time we were there. We had some good views despite the weather. Lodge was well supplied and very thoughtfully planned. Made it so easy to prepare meals in the kitchen.

Loved our stay!

We rented the property for a quiet weekend away. Everything was exactly as pictured and stated in the listing. The home is so cozy, well stocked and has incredible views. The hosts are very organized and great communicators. We will be back!
