Historique Reed 1893 - Dossey House Bed & Breakfast

Il s'agit de la maison historique Reed-Dossey de 1893 située au sommet de la colline surplombant Brownsville. La maison est à 8 km du parc national de Mammoth Cave et à 16 km du parc d'État de Nolin Lake, et à 40 km du musée de la Corvette à Bowling Green. La chambre a des plafonds de 12 pieds et est reliée à une salle de bain privée avec une baignoire à jets et une douche. Les clients peuvent profiter de l'un des 2 beaux porches pour se détendre pendant leur voyage. Vous aurez également accès à la salle de jeux avec jeux de société et d'arcade.

Un petit déjeuner gastronomique est inclus dans le prix de la chambre et vous sera servi dans notre gracieuse salle à manger que certaines des offres comprendront votre choix d'oeufs, pain grillé français, pains spéciaux, pain grillé, bacon, saucisse ou jambon, fruits mélangés , jus et café ou thé. Brownsville est une petite ville du Kentucky avec un choix limité de restaurants. Nous fournirons également à nos clients, moyennant des frais supplémentaires payables à l'arrivée, un menu de plusieurs choix de dîners faits maison. Le menu peut être fourni par e-mail après votre réservation et veuillez demander vos choix de dîner avant l'arrivée.

The person booking must be the person staying and a photo ID may be requested of all guests prior to staying at our home.
Guests staying more than one night must allow owners to reset the bedroom and bathroom each day. Checkout on Sundays is 10:00 am.

Our time at the Reed-Dossey House was absolutely wonderful. Evenings playing pinball in the game room were so much fun, and Tony and Sharon went above and beyond by making a cake and singing to my sister for her birthday. Their warm hospitality, delicious breakfasts, and attention to detail made this stay truly special. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful, peaceful property with hosts that are amazing! Every detail is well thought-out, with so many extras. It was the perfect spot to relax after a day at the Corvette Museum and Factory Tour, and just a short (30 minute) drive to our Mammoth Cave tour the next day. Food was fabulous—be sure to have dinner! You will love staying with Tony and Sharon.

Weekend Getaway

Tony and Sharon were absolutely wonderful hosts! Their home is beautiful, breakfast was awesome, and hospitality was superb. I wish we had reserved a dinner with them! They provide lots of little extras to make you feel welcome. The property is close to Mammoth Caves. and just a short drive to the Lost River Cave and Bowling Green. Would definitely recommend booking s stay here!!

We stayed at the Reed-Dossey house for my wife’s and my second anniversary. Tony and Sharon went so far above and beyond to make the occasion special and help us feel welcomed. The property is so beautiful, and everything is immaculate. I cannot recommend the meals highly enough - get a dinner when you stay here! Tony and Sharon put so much effort into making fantastic food. Their hospitality is truly top-notch. This stay was one of the highlights of our year, and we can’t wait to be back again soon!

Sharon met us warmly at the door and opened her home like we were family. The room was beautiful and cozy! The house was amazing! The porch slowed us down and we enjoyed our time there. Tony and Sharon have hosting down to an art form. The food was amazing and fresh. They put a lot of love into what they do. Anyone should take advantage of the meals they prepare because you aren’t going to get the quality and quantity any where else. They have a personalized touch for their meals and that made it more special. We felt like family by the time we left. I wanted to cry because we had to leave.
Breakfast was so delish and we didn’t want to leave a morsel behind.
Homemade focaccia was divine!
The quality here is better than a fancy steak house. The green beans were probably home grown and cooked to perfection.

Such a unique and wonderful experience - Tony and Sharon welcomed us into their beautiful home as if we were visiting family. My mother and I were so fortunate to share their company and drink wine into the evenings, learning of their lives and adventures together. The house is lovely and historic, featuring 12-foot ceilings, a massive wrap-around porch, and a scenic view of the town and nearby hills.Don’t bother finding places to eat - given Tony and Sharon’s skills for cooking, culinary preservation and creativity (jams, jellies, sauces, hors d'oeuvres), you’ll regret making any other plans! They go above and beyond to cater to our preferences, serving delicious dinners and delightful breakfasts with exquisite presentation.100% would visit again and will definitely recommend to any and all friends and family planning a visit to the Mammoth Cave region.

Tony and Sharon are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The breakfast were outstanding with something different each morning. I especially liked the homemade jam that they make and serve. My wife and I purchased several jars to bring home along with homemade apple sauce. The property is very well maintained and the view from the large front porch is great. We sat out there every afternoon and even played a board game with Tony and Sharon. They brought us several other homemade items to try like their pickles, salsa, etc. My wife and I felt like we were pampered. If you are staying in the area I would highly recommend staying with them, you will not be disappointed. The location is close to the national park, an easy and enjoyable 15 minute drive to the visitor center.
