Historique Reed 1893 - Dossey House Bed & Breakfast

Il s'agit de la maison historique Reed-Dossey de 1893 située au sommet de la colline surplombant Brownsville. La maison est à 8 km du parc national de Mammoth Cave et à 16 km du parc d'État de Nolin Lake, et à 40 km du musée de la Corvette à Bowling Green. La chambre a des plafonds de 12 pieds et est reliée à une salle de bain privée avec une baignoire à jets et une douche. Les clients peuvent profiter de l'un des 2 beaux porches pour se détendre pendant leur voyage. Vous aurez également accès à la salle de jeux avec jeux de société et d'arcade.

Un petit déjeuner gastronomique est inclus dans le prix de la chambre et vous sera servi dans notre gracieuse salle à manger que certaines des offres comprendront votre choix d'oeufs, pain grillé français, pains spéciaux, pain grillé, bacon, saucisse ou jambon, fruits mélangés , jus et café ou thé. Brownsville est une petite ville du Kentucky avec un choix limité de restaurants. Nous fournirons également à nos clients, moyennant des frais supplémentaires payables à l'arrivée, un menu de plusieurs choix de dîners faits maison. Le menu peut être fourni par e-mail après votre réservation et veuillez demander vos choix de dîner avant l'arrivée.

Les clients ont accès à toutes les chambres de niveau inférieur autres que la salle de bains d'hôtes. Les chambres de niveau inférieur comprennent le salon, la salle à manger, la salle de jeux, le solarium et la cuisine ainsi que votre chambre et votre salle de bains.

Vous aurez également accès à l'un des porches extérieurs.

Sachez que nous avons deux chats, Mike et Katie. Ils gardent pour eux la plupart du temps et ne sont jamais autorisés dans la chambre d'hôtes à tout moment.

Smoking can be accommodated outside the house
The person booking must be the person staying and a photo ID may be requested of all guests prior to staying at our home.
Guests staying more than one night must allow owners to reset the bedroom and bathroom each day. Checkout on Sundays is 10:00 am.
There is no smoking, vaping, or open flames allowed on the property. Also, our cat can be sequestered upstairs during meals.

Sharon and Tony were the ultimate hosts! We had the pleasure of booking a dinner with them on our first night there. And the morning breakfasts were so plentiful and delicious. They served us cappuccino’s before breakfast on the front porch as we listened to the birds and enjoyed the view. They were very open to our schedule. The room and adjoining bathroom felt very private and were very comfortable. We would 100% recommend them anytime your traveling in the area.

It was home away from home, like family, I Loved the Beautiful Old Home, Tony and Sharon pampered us, she made sure I had roses what ever room I was in, the Breakfast was made for a King and Queen, made us feel so special, Tony's coffee, excellent! Sharon's Honemade Jams, and sweet breads, excellent, Our room took us back in time, with the Beautiful Antiques, we will be back in the Fall! Its a 5 star in our book!

We had a wonderful stay at the Dossey House Bed & Breakfast! The house was clean and full of charm. The hosts curated a delicious menu selection for us. Their attention to detail made our anniversary weekend extra special! This house is located about 20 minutes from the Mammouth Cave visitor's center and is accessible to the main road. If you've ever thought about trying a bed and breakfast experience, this is the place to book!

Our time at the Reed-Dossey House was absolutely wonderful. Evenings playing pinball in the game room were so much fun, and Tony and Sharon went above and beyond by making a cake and singing to my sister for her birthday. This is a beautiful, peaceful property with hosts that are amazing! Every detail is well thought-out, with so many extras. It was the perfect spot to relax after a day at the Corvette Museum and Factory Tour, and just a short (30 minute) drive to our Mammoth Cave tour the next day. Food was fabulous—be sure to have dinner! You will love staying with Tony and Sharon.

Where do I start?? The house was elegant--each room was tastefully done in period antiques; the wall paper, the ceilings, and the inlaid floors--Wow.Our bedroom--same, with a queen size bed and comforter, en suite bathroom with plenty of counter space and a jacuzzi for relaxing.But the food!! We arrived at 4:30, in time for a glass of wine, then dinner at 6:00 promptly served by both Tony and Sharon, one course at a time. The bread!! Can't say enough! The tomato soup--exquisite! The granita for desert (they lived in Italy for a couple of years) was perfect. The serving size was nice--enough, but not too much.The best part: our hosts: engaging, convivial, a storehouse of knowledge about the house, their background etc. We left then next morning as friends! (I almost forgot the breakfast--another triumph! Eggs, bacon, toast points--with choice of 11 different jams made by out award winning hostess, Sharon!!There's a lot I'm leaving out: the train, the game room, the elegant grounds, etc. But you get the idea. We have been travelling for the past 15 years--mostly in VRBO places. This was the finest yet! Many thanks to Tony and Sharon!!!We'll be back next year!! Keith & Debby

Weekend Getaway

Tony and Sharon were absolutely wonderful hosts! Their home is beautiful, breakfast was awesome, and hospitality was superb. I wish we had reserved a dinner with them! They provide lots of little extras to make you feel welcome. The property is close to Mammoth Caves. and just a short drive to the Lost River Cave and Bowling Green. Would definitely recommend booking s stay here!!
