This is our 4th time vacationing here. It just gets better every time. So quiet & peaceful! Experienced sightings of eagles, falcons, osprey, blue herons, swans & deerThe food was wonderful especially the Blue Heron & the Flying Decoy. And the local people couldn’t be nicer. Dream come true home and stay! Everything was so beautiful, coordinated and just breath taking!My husband and I played pool so many times, cards, sorry, scary movie, sunrise, sunset, explored Rock Hall & Chestertown, enjoyed the hot tub and steam room! Waking up to the view of the lake, trees, birds, could not ask for more! Delicious muffins on our arrival and everything we needed! Barbi is off the chart! Live plants were such a bonus for me!! Can’t wait to come back if we are able!!

This was our 4th stay at the Blissful Retreat where we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary. It is a PERFECT retreat. House is lovely. Barb has worked hard to make sure we had everything we need from coffee, tea and fresh muffins to a great bathroom with a sauna and heated floor. It is a perfect place to relax. We will be back!

I would recommend this little piece of Heaven to everyone. It was the coziest place and the views were breathtaking. A perfect little weekend getaway that we will do again

The accommodations exceeded our expectations. Clean, roomy, beautifully decorated and the beds were great. Lots of great little details from robes and a steam shower to little snacks and a coffee and tea selection that was really nice. I highly recommend this retreat if you want comfort, quiet and relaxation. Five stars.

Relaxing stay at the Chesapeake Bay

Blissful Retreat is a wonderfully appointed, lovely cottage just outside of Rock Hall. The host anticipated our every need. We spent time exploring the area; reading on the front porch facing the water; and birding right outside the cottage. We hope to return.

BR is truly a quiet place to be. Only a short drive from Rock Hall, this is a great place especially for bikers looking for quiet roads right outside.

The property is just lovely, quiet and peaceful, and the cottage was charming. Kind of remote, several miles from the small town of Rock Hall, which we appreciated. The views from the cottage were also wonderful. It has a kitchenette, so you can't do much cooking, but that was fine with us. It was a fully stocked kitchenette nonetheless. We ate at the Osprey Inn, just 3 miles away, which was a very nice restaurant. We drove into Chestertown, a half hour way, and that was a fun outing. We could see a bald eagle sitting atop a pole just across the road from the house!
