The location was conveniently close to McKinney Roughs Nature Park where we hiked for 2 days, ziplined, and did a segway tour on the park’s Pine Ridge. The king bed was very comfortable; the back porch view was relaxing (perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails); everything was clean; and it was a quiet location. We had already brought our own groceries with us but found the host had stocked the frig and cupboards with breakfast items! We would definitely stay here again!

Cool little spot!! Very friendly people who take care of the cottage and stock it full of food and a few beers! Very nice open space and quiet. 20 mins from Tesla giga factory, 15 to HEB, 5 mins to a convenience gas store.Im comin back, if im working in Austin, for sure.

Great getaway

Great stay, private and well set up unit. Perfect for a couple with dog. Close to town of Bastrop which was great. Also close proximity to circuit of Americas. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in town for a race!

Lovely stay

I came for a few nights to visit family in the area and this place was perfect for me. I loved that it was gated, had a quiet back porch, and had all the supplies I needed to make meals. It was tucked away off of the main road and felt very secure. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was nice and quiet and our dogs were able to rum in the fenced in yard. Our girls thoroughly enjoyed the trampoline.

Our stay at Dianna’s place was an absolute joy. Everything was very clean and nice. The fridge and cabinets were well stocked with food, and there was everything you could ask for.

Great spot for a show we loved

We ended up staying here for being a great spot for this local show we loved! They were an Australian band and we had a great time enjoying their 3 hour set at the venue they were at. The band themselves are fantastic, and the venue made it that much better. Thanks again for the hosts!

Great place in the country but close enough to Austin

We stayed here for a weekend in Austin, but wanted to have some quiet time away from the city. The place was perfect. The house is setup like a studio. The kitchen, living room and bedroom are all in one area. It is plenty roomy for a couple and the bed is huge. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit to Austin.

Perfect Getaway

Quiet, secluded, well-appointed. We had everything we needed, and we were close to the parks we wanted to hike. It was awesome to drive up to a house decorated for the holidays, complete with tree inside! Everything was comfortable and easy. Thank you, Dianne and George! Will definitely be back!

Nice little get away

The property was a little farther out (from the main road) than expected. Everything one could need was provided. I would have liked it to be a bit cleaner. Especially the floors. I don't wear shoes in my house nor others and my feet got dirty from the floor. I get that it is a rustic retreat and things get dirty. Overall, nice and peaceful.

Quiet and comfy

A little off the main road but really easy to get to just a few minutes from COTA. Quiet and spacious with comfortable furniture. Balcony is a nice place to sit and relax on. Bathroom mirror was a little low for me but otherwise a fantastic place! Will definitely look to book again next time I'm in Austin!

My husband was born and raised in Austin. I was a military brat, being raised in several different places. We both enjoy living in Austin with all it has to offer in entertainment, while also enjoying the quietness of the quaint town of Bastrop. We are a pet family and adore our animals. In our spare time, we love to fish, dance and enjoy music festivals, concerts, etc.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

We fell in love with the property in Cedar Creek after looking for land for almost a year! This property is located perfectly between Austin and Bastrop. It's very private, with almost all of our neighbors owning 5 acre lots as well. The houses sit on a hill, so we don't have to worry about flooding with heavy rain storms. The wild animals are plentiful; coyotes, turtles, birds, etc. I love waking up to the sounds of the birds in the morning.

The cottage has a back porch that overlooks the wooded portion of the acreage. It's very private and relaxing. The open space makes the home feel very cozy and enjoyable. Our guests will love the atmosphere out in the country neighborhood and can unwind after a full day of sightseeing and fun in Austin.
