Everything was great. Our family enjoyed all aspects of the river cottage. The grandchildren were very happy. Access to the pier, the view in the morning and evening of the river was very relaxing. A very special Thanksgiving with our family . Memories forever!!

We rented this lovely home for a few days and just loved it. The home had everything we needed, clean and easy check in. The view over the water...great sunrises. Plenty of space and having rooms on each side of the home was nice too.

Great for both retirees or sportsman

Excellent for large family or group. Spacious enough for large gatherings, nice deck and large lawn. Good supply of dishes but could use more pans for those who cook. I would certainly go there again.

Loved the neighborhood! Beautiful views! Wind winery was definitely worth the trip. We kayaked, fished from the dock and rode our bikes. Friendly neighbors and very convenient to Food Lion.

Beautiful Peaceful Location

This property is a wonderful place to stay if looking for beautiful sun rises and sunsets, beautiful views, and quiet, peaceful surroundings. The home was spacious and wonderful. We loved the central room, containing a spacious kitchen, dining room, and living room (open floor plan). This room allowed everyone to be together and enjoy home cooked meals and lively conversation. We spent a lot of time on the porch overlooking the river, barbecuing, and spending quality family time together.

Beautiful views with friendly and accomodating owners!

Our experience was wonderful, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable accommodations. The house was very clean and had a great view of the river. My dog wouldn’t go swimming from their pier, and the Garrett’s went above and beyond to find a “beach area” for us to utilize since my dog was unsure about accessing the water from their pier.

Quiet, peaceful cottage

Spacious home was ideal for a 2 family getaway. Place was clean and the main living area was large and spacious. Owners were very responsive. Having a large bowl of water on the back porch was very welcoming for our dog. The lot itself was very large giving you a lot of privacy. The screened in back porch was great for bug free dining outdoors. Hated to leave.

river relaxing

The house has a good layout and is very comfortable. The location is fairly rural which we like, but not too far to a grocery store. We caught blue catfish off the dock, went kayaking, and enjoyed watching the osprey and eagles. The yard is very big and we enjoyed playing cornhole and throwing the baseball. We would rent this house again.

Relaxing at the “rivah”!

It’s easy to relax at the river cottage. My favorite “thing” was watching sunrise from the porch, which was recently screened in, and listening to the birds greet the morning. So tranquil! There’s a nice Food Lion close by, as well as various restaurants. Thanks, John & Paige!

Beautiful Waterfront Cottage with all the Feels.

Great well stocked river cottage. Love the stay here with family. Gorgeous views of the river and huge lot. The fact it was dog friendly was a huge plus. Only negative was having to take our own trash to the dump. Luckily a family member had a truck, or we would have been out of luck.

Breathtaking Sunrises

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! John & Paige were excellent hosts. We had to change our reservation due to hurricane Ian and they were very accomaditing. The cottage was great and the open covered porch was awesome. The river views and sunrises were amazing! We will definitely be back!
