Cette exubérante maison victorienne de la reine Anne datant de 1892 a été construite par le Dr. Isaac Porter Primrose, et était autrefois le bureau du docteur et la maison de sa famille. La maison a des boiseries et des planchers en chêne fabuleux, des impostes de vitraux colorés et des armoires de cuisine originales avec comptoir en marbre. Après avoir été une résidence pendant plus d'un siècle, la maison a été entièrement restaurée en tant que Bed and Breakfast. Quatre chambres colorées offrent des salles de bains privées, dont plusieurs ont nécessité une plomberie très créative!

Ce magnifique Bed and Breakfast se trouve en face de notre célèbre et célèbre Hyde House construite en 1882.
Au Primrose Bed & Breakfast, les cyclistes se trouvent à quelques kilomètres de l’une des montées les plus difficiles de l’Ohio, Lick Run Hill, avec une double courbe à 19%. Les amateurs de VTT ne sont qu'à quelques minutes du Dorr Run Trail Head avec plus de 75 km de sentiers désignés pour les conducteurs de véhicules tout-terrain, les vététistes et les randonneurs dans la forêt nationale de Wayne. La Primrose se situe à 15 minutes à l'ouest d'Athènes et de l'Université de l'Ohio et à 15 minutes à l'est de Old Man's Cave. Il est parfait pour les parents et les anciens étudiants en visite à l'OU et pour un week-end dans les célèbres collines hocking de l'Ohio, l'une des destinations exceptionnelles de Buzzfeed à ajouter à votre liste de choses à faire.
Hocking Hills et toute la beauté que les parcs d’État ont à offrir sont à seulement 15 minutes en voiture de la grotte Old Man's Cave, de Conkle's Hollow et de RockHouse.

Cute bed and breakfast

We went for a moms weekend away. The owner was super nice and helpful; very knowledgeable about the area and attractions. They breakfast each morning was amazing and freshly made, definitely more than I was expecting!

Stay at Primrose Path

Our stay at primrose was very relaxed. The rooms were clean, breakfast was provided during the weekend, which was delicious, and other travelers and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back.

Stay in Nelsonville

Our stay was good. The bed was a little hard and breakfast was fair. We liked the location in Nelsonville. Was easy to walk to restaurant and we enjoyed seeing a local play. We were glad we found a place to stay.

Location convenient to Mammoth March at Burr Oak State Park, great breakfast in the mornings, hot tub was nice but only one jet was working. Nice to meet other people staying at the B&B though.

Relaxing and homely

We have always stayed at hotels when we travel but I wanted to something different! I am so glad I did. The house was beautiful with lots of character. The staff was super nice and accommodating. I definitely recommend this property and will be coming back!

Great bed and breakfast

We enjoy the yummy breakfast. It included eggs, biscuits, gravy, french toast, sausage, bacon, and a berry mix. I have a lovely stay in our room the path. It had a working tv, comfy bed, and a nice shower/tub. It was all very clean and tidy. We enjoyed sleeping with the soft fleece blanket. The room also had shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Thanks so much for having us! We will be back!

The home was built in late 1800's. We loved the charm of it. It has the wear of an older home, but it was cozy, the room we stayed in was one of the small ones, with a full bath. for a night or two stay, it is nice. access to the living room with a cd player, coffee machine in the dining room with a large table for breakfast guests. Books and games available. The breakfast was buffet style, served by a pleasant staff. I would definitely go back. It's a nice short walk to town in 5 minutes.

Clean B&B …22 minutes to Athens

Clean older B&B with pretty wooden stair case, smaller room/private bath, barking dogs outside that calmed down after a while, quiet street within walking to center of Nelsonville, home cooked breakfast tasted industrial with under cooked hash browns, cold eggs and pancakes. Coffee was good. Fresh berries were good, Shower was good. Could not open a window painted shut. Ok place to stay with no bed bugs when all of Athens is booked up.

It was immediately apparent when we entered the house that the place was CLEAN and well-kept. The same was true of our room and attached bathroom. Breakfast was basic but good: eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, white & brown bread for toast with a variety of jams, etc. Good coffee and a wide variety of teas. Primrose is literally a frisbee's throw away from the Stuart Opera House, where my wife and I attended a concert -- an easy walk. There are a couple of restaurants on the square with the Opera House, although you may need to drive to another part of town if you're looking for something in particular (e.g. Mexican food). My wife and I enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again if our plans take us to Nelsonville.

Misled

The description mentioned sitting on the front porch swing and relaxing in the hot tub while enjoying the garden. The front porch was in shambles. No swing or furniture was available. The hot tub had an unsafe cover made of rubber(?) and slats of wood with large splinters. There was no garden and the lounge chair near the hot tub was a mess of different colors of pealing paint. We called the property manager and VRBO without any resolution. We had booked for two nights but left after the first. DO NOT waste your money on this property.

Earle Anniversary Stay

We would definitely stay here again. Angel our cook was fantastic and really friendly. The room was a little smaller than we expected but overall, it fit our needs. Loved the antiques and decor.

Decent place and location. Older home that could stand a bit of TLC. Good breakfast and nice cook/cleaner. Check-in process is a bit strange for a B&B and no host on-site upon arrival.

Primrose Path was a nice B&B. The room was clean and the bathroom was modern and updated. The only drawback was the window a/c unit - which was noisy and blowed on us all night. Also no TV remote to lower volume (just Roku remote).

Perfect for our anniversary

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary. The house and our room were beautiful. We got a great history of the house and the one across the street. Breakfast was perfect for a day of hiking. The owners have far surpassed my expectations for a romantic getaway. I will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone I can.
