Oaks Cottage est situĂ© dans le nord de la paroisse de Cameron et est entourĂ© de magnifiques «Live Oak Trees». La propriĂ©tĂ© est un chalet entiĂšrement meublĂ© de 2 chambres / 1 salle de bain Ă  quelques minutes du cĂ©lĂšbre Big Lake. Peut accueillir 4 personnes, a 1350 pieds carrĂ©s de vie. Tous les draps et ustensiles fournis. Laveuse / sĂ©cheuse, A / C centrale et chauffage, WiFi et tĂ©lĂ©vision par cĂąble oĂč chaque chambre dispose d'une tĂ©lĂ©vision. Grand porche couvert avant avec barbecue et foyer. Il y a beaucoup d'espace pour garer vos bateaux sur la propriĂ©tĂ© (pĂȘcheurs accueillis). À seulement 10 minutes du lancement du bateau Herbert Camp. Beautiful, quiet location.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The property has beautiful live oaks and plenty of wildlife to watch while sitting on the porch. The house had everything we needed, with a Keurig, washer and dryer being the most important amenities for our family. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept on. It is a very easy and rather short drive from Lake Charles. We had never stayed on the eastern side of the lake but we enjoyed exploring the area and finding new places to go crabbing that weren’t crowded. Angela was very quick to respond with any questions. I will definitely keep this cottage on my list of places to stay in the future.

We had such a wonderful time staying at the cozy cottage. It is EXACTLY as pictured and it is indeed cozy yet spacious. Our trip down south was for the purpose of going crabbing in the Gulf of America and our hosts were kind enough to have a propane burner and pots available to us for boiling our catch. We were able to meet the hosts and enjoyed speaking with such good, down to earth people. The cottage was clean and tidy and had all things available that I would have in my own home to enjoy. We wanted for nothing. We are already talking about planning another trip next summer and we will be working it around the availability of this cottage. Definitely worth the rental!

Weekend fishing trip

The location was great! A quiet place to relax and recover after a long day of fishing! I would recommend this for anyone’s upcoming trip to the area.

Needs a Real Deep Clean

Could be a great place. Booked 5 nights.Everything tidy and in order, but NOT clean. Arrived late at night due to flight delay, so stayed first night. Floors not vacuumed/mopped, cobwebs everywhere, thick dust on ceiling fans above beds, bedside tables had hairs/dust, lamps/ lampshades covered in thick dust, bathroom sink covered in toothpaste spit, toilet had urine stains on it, bathmat really dirty, and dirty linens left on the floor in master closet. Asked owner to do a deep clean, and stayed elsewhere on second night. Asked if we could show them in person our concerns, but was unable to, due to their schedule. They were very pleasant via phone/text, and we thought would address our issues. Arrived back on 3rd day, stayed that night due to family wedding reception down the street. Bathroom sink was cleaned, but toilet still dirty, floors not mopped, no dusting/ deep cleaning done. Only stayed on night three due to not wanting to drive after celebration. Got another place for nights 4 & 5. Asked for a partial refund. Got no response, which was disappointing. The property needs a professional cleaning crew. Owners had personal issues to deal with, for which we really hope everything turned out for the best.

Great times

The property was very beautiful. There was plenty of room to park the boat when we were not fishing. There are nice restaurants close by. An overall great experience that we will be looking to do again soon

Fishing trip

Came down for our annual friends fishing trip, using cat 5 charters and the guide launches at Calcasieu point this location was perfect. Spacious, clean, and peaceful. The house was to date the best air bnb i had stayed in, beds, couches was like sleeping on a cloud. Whole house had everything you could ask for. Highly recommended Only thing is there is a curve at where the drive way meets the road that can be pretty dangerous so be careful otherwise perfect.

Beautiful Cottage

The property with the Live Oak Trees is Beautiful, and the home is perfectly cozy. I love the décor of the home and the bed was very comfortable. It has all the accommodations of home, just bring your food. Our host were awesome, very friendly and tentative to answer questions. Would highly recommend staying at this property.

Absolutely Perfect

Incredible cottage. So comfortable, clean and immaculate property. It is a great set up. Plenty of supplies from coffee, blankets, pillows and toiletries. A/C and all appliances work great! There is even a full size washer and dryer. Fully loaded kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. We slept so good! Our teenage kids loved the stay too. Big Lake has a ton of things to explore and a nice Cajun restaurant 5 minutes away called T Boy’s. There is a Public Pier walking distance or if you prefer to drive there is plenty of parking. It really seems like a semi private pier as it is tucked away. We all enjoyed catching speckled trout, reds, black drums and crabs. We were visiting family and anytime we go back we will be sure to stay at Oak Cottage again.

Excellent Space!

We rented this property for a weekend film shoot, and every step of sorting out and utilising the space was impeccable. Angela and Jeffrey were very accommodating and communicative, and the space itself was exactly the lovely look and feel we were searching for. Highly recommend this listing if you’re looking for a weekend trip!

Beautiful and quiet with incredible Oak trees.

We had a great time I would STRONGLEY recommend this property. Owners are very friendly and helpful for those of us who are not familiar with the area. They made us feel like family.

A place to get away from the noises of city life.

From beginning to end, communication from the owners was great. The place was very well kept. The home was Comfortable and Cozy. It didn’t lack a thing. We just wish we didn’t have to return to reality.
