5 day break in south normandy

The house is in a fantastic location - surrounded by a wood and bird song. The outdoor space is huge, and the pool and pool area is fantastic.

Relaxing retreat

We used the house as a base to go to Olympic events in Versailles and Paris. It was wonderful to come back to the quiet house and we made full use of the pool on our days off! Well equipped and comfortable, we would recommend to anyone needing to get away from the city

NIce and quiet, good pool.Nice cleaning lady.Wifi sometimes not working but when shutting down it will.Kitchen not everything available if you want to make a tart or a quiche.And blender is also welcome.For the rest an amazing property!Well recommended.

We are just back from a week’s stay at this property. We had good communication with Cesar prior to our trip with prompt messages. We were met on arrival by the lovely housekeeper Martine. She is so nice but due to the language barrier we felt a welcome pack in English/different languages would have been beneficial, listing bin days etc. The property is stunning set in a private gated woodland. It was well equipped, well maintained and my boys particularly enjoyed the pool table. Very clean and tidy with everything we needed and we couldn’t fault it.We made use of the outdoor BBQ and were in the pool most afternoons. The pool isn’t heated, but as we were there in a heatwave we didn’t have a problem with temperature. The shallow end isn’t that shallow, and my tall 6 year old could not reach the floor. Although the pool is gorgeous and we all loved it! The property is a 5 minute drive to the nearest town which has a beautiful cathedral, patisserie, shops and cafe’s.We visited Evereux whilst we were there which is a city with plenty to do! Beautiful place with lots to see. Overall we had a fantastic stay at this property, a great holiday and we would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you to Cesar and Martine. Hannah, Chris and Boys x

Fantastic property

Had a fabulous week. Although only 5 minutes from the nearest town, it feels much more secluded. Cesar the owner has thought of pretty much everything you might want. Spacious rooms, really well equipped kitchen, enormous bathroom. Kids loved the pool table and the pool even more. Outdoor, heated, good size lots of equipment and a separate pool house complete with a real wood bbq. The TV even had Netflix. The property sits entirely enclosed by your own mini woods. The only minor gripe is the WiFi, which was patchy at times, and not very fast. But this shouldn't stop you from staying here. We will definitely return.

Un magnifique séjour

Un très bon moment en famille ! La maison est très confortable et vraiment superbe ! Propreté et entretien impeccable. Piscine nickel et le tout au calme mais à proximité de Verneuîl. Tout le monde a été ravi et nous envisageons de revenir ! Mention spéciale à Martine pour l’accueil chaleureux et la disponibilité ! 😊

Très très bon moment de détente et d'amusement.

Grande maison très agréable, avec terrain magnifique et belle piscine. Ce fut un superbe weekend. Accueil au top de la gérante des lieux, si nous pouvons revenir, nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

On se sent tout de suite chez soi. Espaces, nature, piscine (même si trop froide pour se baigner début mai), cheminée, terrasse, barbecue, jeux, billard... Tout a été parfait pour notre séjour, petits et grands ont été enchantés.

Family Holiday

Had a lovely stay in Cesar's Cottage in Balines. Property was clean and tidy.. Kids loved the pool all the space outdoors. Only a short drive to local shops. Cottage is located in a beautiful spot in the countryside. we fitted in day trips to Paris and Le Mans.

Fantastic , relaxing family break

The house is beautiful , set in beautiful grounds and the large swimming pool is a real added bonus. The outside area has a lovely seating area chairs and sun loungers included. There is a brick built BBQ and seating area to. The house was immaculately presented and had a very homely feel. Towels and bedding were all fresh and clean and there was an ample supply of these. The kitchen was well equipped again with a vast supply of crockery pots pans cups glasses etc. The photos really don’t do this wonderful house justice. There is a carrefour , Lidl and Aldi all a short 5-10 min drive away. Would highly recommend this charming French cottage for a perfectly relaxed holiday ! Huge thanks to the lovely Martine who greeted us and showed us around.

Charming and ideal Normandy house

We had a fantastic stay at César’s house. The place is secluded in a small wood that gives you the feeling to be in the middle of nature. The house is perfectly arranged and very practical, lots of games, space and a very nice kitchen. Now the pool is wonderful and the outdoor BBQ offers both some shade and a beautiful view on the pool, the house and the woods. I highly recommend this place for a week or weekend with friends and family. For those like us who like cycling, the surroundings are really nice and pretty. Finally, Verneuil-sur-Avre is only minutes away so while you are secluded you’re really close to shops and everything you need to buy food and anything you could need.
