Le Lowry .. Un espace d’élégance et de luxe aux accents industriels, créé pour votre confort. Planchers en bois massif, belles œuvres d'art, couettes et oreillers en duvet et plumes, serviettes en coton égyptien, draps 800 tc, Villeroy et Boch. Vue sur la mer à l'arrière de l'appartement et salles de bains modernes et cuisine. Récemment rénové, dispose de pierres apparentes solides et de meubles et accessoires magnifiques. Un espace magnifique pour profiter de votre temps tout en vous relaxant à Oban. Articles de toilette gratuits / essentiels.

L'espace

Il y a deux chambres avec de beaux lits Kingsize, des tables de chevet (USA Queens) et une commode. Un endroit pour accrocher des vêtements et un porte-bagages. Nous fournissons les draps et les serviettes et les bases pour aider à améliorer votre séjour. Il y a aussi un sèche-cheveux dans chaque chambre et un grand miroir. La première chambre fait face à la ville, la deuxième chambre a une vue sur la mer au loin. La cuisine est entièrement équipée avec un réfrigérateur / congélateur intégré, une cuisinière, un ventilateur, un four micro-ondes, une bouilloire et un grille-pain, un lave-linge et une cafetière Nespresso.
Le divertissement est assuré par une télévision connectée avec Netflix. Il y a une petite sélection de livres et de jeux.
Si vous souhaitez écouter votre propre musique, vous disposez également de deux haut-parleurs Sonos.
Il y a une planche à repasser, un fer à repasser, un étendoir à linge et un aspirateur.
Vous allez louer tout l'appartement et avoir un accès complet à toutes les chambres et commodités. Le chauffage est constitué de panneaux chauffants électriques pour votre confort. Il y a des informations sur la ville pour vous et tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour trouver votre chemin, y compris une carte d'Oban.

Nous vous fournirons du thé, du café, du lait, du sucre, du pain, du beurre et des œufs pour bien commencer votre premier petit-déjeuner. Aussi liquide pour les mains et hydratant pour les mains, shampoing, revitalisant, gel pour le corps et rouleaux de papier toilette.
Nous vous demandons de faire preuve de considération envers nos voisins en limitant les niveaux de bruit entre 23 heures et 8 heures. Les chaussures doivent être enlevées dans l'appartement à tout moment en raison de nos beaux planchers en bois. .

The Grayson Vacation

Enjoyed our stay in Oban. The apartment was conveniently located in town making it easy to walk within the town. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms functional, kitchen very nice, living room comfortable. Nice to have a dishwasher and washing machine. Highly recommend as a place to stay in Oban.

Sleek and slate

We enjoyed our stay at the Lowry - very well appointed and convenient to the harbor area. So nice to have some added ammenities - shampoo, soap, etc.

Beautiful apartment

Mary was very helpful and we certainly appreciated the beautifully ironed linens and large eat in kitchen. Bath situation proved not to be a problem.

Lovely apt with excellent location

Superb location — easy walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Parking for free in the back. Amazing access to hiking, lochs and the Scottish highlands. The one drawback is that the kitchen is not very well stocked for cooking. A few more pots and pans and Tupperware would be useful. Every day use glasses are needed (not fine crystal). And instructions for the cooker would have helped. Otherwise a brilliant place. So glad we found it.

Hi Zahid, I am glad you enjoyed your time at the Lowry. There are fine crystal glasses as well as high and low tumblers which are every day glasses. They may be of a high quality ,however I wouldn't wish for anything less in a luxurious property. The cooker instructions are in the cupboard. I felt 3 saucepans , 3 oven proof dishes and 2 large serving dishes were plenty for short stays., however I will take your recommendations into consideration.

Mary was very diligent about contacting us about the location and arrival. We had a difficult time finding it and there was Mary at the door waiting for us!! The apartment is stunning and I want to move in.

Didn’t meet expectations

The Lowry is superbly located and clearly Mary, the host, has put thought into the decor. However, we found some of the online information misleading. It is described as having either 2 bathrooms or 1.5. There are no bathrooms. There is a shower room with a washhand basin and a separate WC with a vanity basin. In this room there was no extractor fan and the only very high window was sealed closed. We would advise that this is made clear online to avoid disappointment. There are many DO’s and DON’T signs around the property. We found these very offputting. The most intrusive to our enjoyment was that we were instructed not to open the blinds. which made opening the windows very difficult. We were instructed not to put certain glasses in the dishwasher. To avoid using these glasses we bought some cheap Tesco glasses for our stay. We would advise Mary to replace her crystal glasses with ones that are dishwasher proof for guests’ convenience We agree wholly with a previous review regarding the constant light from the bright security light on the landing outside the flat. This was not conducive to a good night sleep to the occupants of bedroom 2. The other flats in the building appear to have blinds in situ on this window. We also think the security light might be broken as it surely shouldn’t be on constantly? Perhaps some of the signs could be removed. This isn’t an economy 3star accommodation. I’m sure, Mary, that your guests can be trusted to care for your property.

Thank you for your review. The apartment details for the bathrooms are correct in the listing and most likely were not read correctly , it clearly states one shower room and separate Restroom. Please see below Restroom Toilet and sink, heated towel rail . Shower Room Full large walk in shower, sink , heated towel rail. It is always recommended to hand wash Crystal Wine Glasses, and most guests who own them would agree. I designed and equipped the apartment with quality and refinement and I do not think cheap glassware would be something most guests would be looking for. Since Covid 19 it has been nearly impossible to get trades in to rectify small tasks, the communal light sensor was stuck on and an electrician was called to correct this.This has now been fixed . I apologise for any inconvenience this caused you. There is also a blind being fitted on this window. The bedroom blinds of course can be opened and also the windows which are turn and tilt. It was recommended not to take them up away from the window as it does not affect the opening and closing of the window. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. 2 stars is a most inappropriate rating .

Stylish space and great location

Mary was a lovely host and very easy to communicate with. The 1st floor apartment had everything you need for a stay in Oban. Lovely rooms, well equipped kitchen and stylish furnishings. Just a 5 min walk into Oban where there are lots of eating options. Parking is available on the street for a small charge or at the rear of the property free of charge. Mary was kind enough to leave a tea, coffee, wine, chocolates, bread and eggs plus various other kitchen / dining items - all very welcoming and helpful. I would be happy to recommend a stay here to anyone.

Well presented but not always practical

This property was very well furnished with hand made furniture and glass blown lights, expensive crystal glasses and leather sofas. However, it was not practical in many ways. The Venetian blinds in the bedrooms did not keep out the light particularly from the street lights and further light came from the communal light on the landing. I do not need a total blackout but expect reasonable darkness. This is the first house we have rented with no TV and only Netflix The owner herself was most welcoming, but 12 signs around the flat were not! Wash glasses by hand, take off makeup before bed, don’t pull up blinds, don’t hang up heavy clothes…. This is a rental flat in quite an ordinary block of flats which has been lovingly furnished, but I could not say we had a relaxing week as we had little sleep.

I am so sorry that you found the apartment unsatisfactory, fortunately quite the opposite of most peoples experience. There are many 3 star hotels in the area which may have been more what you were looking for. Fortunately most guests tend to be excited for their holiday and not looking for problems or issues but generally just want to enjoy their visit and are absolutely delighted to find such a lovely accommodation , I look forward to welcoming more of those lovely guests in the near future! Colin was a Terribly difficult guest to please, I don’t recommend him to hosts.

Stunning!!

We couldn’t have been greeted by a more welcoming and gracious hostess. Mary gave us a thorough tour of the apartment and checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed. This property is top notch and our family felt as though we were in a luxury accommodation. Every amenity was provided for us, even pantry items such as delicious fresh eggs, milk, bread, and coffee. The apartment is simply stunning. Photos cannot capture all of the thoughtful details. Every room is more beautiful than the last. The town is full of charm and worth a stroll to visit the shops and of course, the harbor. If there were more than 5 stars, Mary would earn them. The best property of our holiday by far!!

The Lowry is designed with "natural" in mind.. wood, cotton, slate, leather, wool, glass and down and feather. The result is a calm and tranquil environment where you can unwind from your daily stresses. We know this because when not booked we like to enjoy it too. Artwork is tasteful Lowry paintings, interesting to the eye as everyone sees something different. Having had a love of L.S Lowry's work since the age of five, it seemed appropriate for our exciting venture to be named "The Lowry" giving me an excuse to indulge in his paintings. Set in a quite location just a five minute walk to all public transportation and emenities it is the perfect place to relax while being close enough to all shops, restaurants and things to do in Oban town centre. The Lowry is special and it has been renovated with no expense spared for you to enjoy.

Whether it be the paintings or stunning hand blown glass lights in the living room that draw you in, our brand new, newly renovated apartment will make it hard to leave for the day. Guests find themselves still curled up in the down and feather duvets until way after they wanted to rise in the morning. Our Sonos speakers allow you to enjoy your own music so you feel at home while away. Our kitchen is the hub of the apartment with soft copper lighting and natural stone and wood.. heaven here on earth.
