PrĂšs de sentiers de randonnĂ©e et de VTT remarquables (Appalachian Trail, October Mtn, Ice Glen, Monument Mtn, Donato's Trail, Kennedy Park, Schermerhorn Gorge et plus), des courts de tennis au coin de la rue, prĂšs de Cranwell (Lenox) et Greenock Country Club ( Lee) des terrains de golf, des repas satisfaisants dans des restaurants comme Baja Charlies (les meilleurs tacos au poisson du monde!), 51 Park, Morgan House, Timothy's (meilleure pizza!), Salmon Run, le cĂ©lĂšbre Joe’s Diner, et plus encore. Terrasse arriÚre relaxante pour un repas en plein air confortable avec un foyer extérieur portable pour profiter du magnifique feuillage d'automne. C'est tout ce dont vous avez besoin lorsque vous visitez les Berkshires, que vous souhaitiez sortir pour vous amuser ou que vous préfériez passer une nuit tranquille.

C'est maintenant le moment idéal pour visiter les Berkshires. Le temps est plus frais et le feuillage d'automne commence à entrer dans son stade de gloire. Les nuances vives de rouge, jaune et orange sont à couper le souffle d'ici octobre. Le pic des feuilles est prévu pour les premiÚres semaines d'octobre dans les Berkshires. Ils ont eu le trĂšs populaire Lee Founders Weekend qui a commencĂ© le vendredi 13 septembre avec The Taste of Lee de 17h Ă  20h et Fireworks Ă  20h. Ça vaut le dĂ©tour avec une cuisine vraiment dĂ©licieuse, puis un spectacle de feux d'artifice trĂšs amusant!

Delightful summer stay

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this property, this time for 6 weeks. Property is conveniently located to major attractions, hiking, charming towns. The main bedroom is located on the first floor, perfect for us; our guests had complete privacy on the 2nd floor. The owner is responsive to guests’ needs and went as far as to order a step stool so i could reach the upper shelves. Prior to its arrival, i located one in the basement. Nancy even picked up our mail in the post office.

A month in the Berkshires

We had a lovely stay and were sorry to Ledbetter. We booked the same property for 6 weeks next year prior to our departure. House worked very well for us--primary bedroom and bath were on the first floor, two secondary bedrooms on the the 2nd floor this giving us and our guests some privacy. House is very well equipped. There were a variety of herbs and spices, coffee, tea, dishwasher tablets, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. eliminating the necessity of purchasing same. We're looking forward to next summeex

Great Location for Touring the Berkshires

This immaculate home is set in a quiet neighborhood close to all major attractions in the Berkshires. It is beautifully appointed and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. I love that the home is stocked with plenty of linens and extra blankets. Check in and out was easy. My sister and I verry much enjoyed our stay at The Freckled Hen. We would definitely return here again.

What a treasure!!!

Great house. Was perfect for 3 couples coming to the area for Tanglewood! House is so well stocked, so clean and comfortable....beds were great! Nancy is a gracious host and readily available if needed! Yard is beautiful, with a barbecue and a firepit. We can't wait to return!

Girls Getaway

My group had a lovely stay at the Freckled Hen! Each of us had our own room and the house was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One night we got about 5 inches of heavy snow and the owner was very responsive in getting the driveway cleared in the morning so it didn't disrupt our plans for the day. We didn't do much cooking other than breakfast but the kitchen looked well stocked with spices, etc. The living room seats 4 people comfortably so it suited our group of 3 ladies but if you are more than four people and plan to stay in at night and watch a movie you'll need to use the kitchen chairs as well. Ah, I forgot to suggest to the homeowner it would be good to leave instructions on how to get Netflix on the TV - it took us a bit to find it but it's there! Lastly, if you're looking for a good nights sleep the beds were very comfortable and everyone slept quite well. We will certainly come back again if the opportunity present itself!

We stayed here in Oct. 3 adults and the home was perfect size. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked well. The heat was great, showers were hot. The location was close to everything we wanted to do.

Tanglewood Reunion

Nancy’s house was the perfect place for a Brandi Carlile Tanglewood concert reunion with long time college friends. The house was perfectly set up for us with everything we needed for a relaxing visit and proximity to Tanglewood (15 minutes away) was ideal. She was helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and day trips. I highly recommend Nancy’s home for a visit to the beautiful Berkshires.

Lovely, serene setting and property

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Nancy's home. We had everything we needed, three spacious bedrooms with queen beds, two lovely bathrooms, and a spectacular backyard setting. The location was perfect for our day trips to Tanglewood, Chesterwood, and the Berkshire Botanical Gardens. We look forward to coming back again soon! Family Time in the Berkshires

My mother, cousin and sister-in-law spent a delightful long weekend in the Berkshires. There was plenty of room. It’s a quiet neighborhood at the base of October mountain The cottage has three spacious bedrooms, two floors with two bathrooms. The kitchen and bathroom extremely well stocked with everything you can imagine!! The entire place was spotless !! Nancy was so generous with times of arrival and departure. The garden is lovely and it was so pleasant to eat some meals outside! Will definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful house and host

We’ve just returned from a 3-night stay at The Speckled Hen, and we loved it. Nancy, the host, was so thoughtful, letting us know the morning of our check-in day that we could arrive a little early as the cleaning was already done as well as responding very promptly to every email I sent, from the time of booking right through our stay there. The house is even nicer in person than it looks in the photos, with very comfy beds and furniture. The lay-out was perfect for us and our two friends, with a nice first floor bedroom near a beautifully renovated bath, and two other rooms on the second floor flanking another bath. The location is also excellent - VERY easy to get to Lenox/Tanglewood, Stockbridge, and of course downtown Lee. It’s in a quiet, beautiful area, but still close to major roads. We will definitely be back!

Lovely house in the Berkshires

A great find for those visiting the Berkshires. A very comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood, close to key entertainment venues and restaurants, with tons of room for the two couples (with a bedroom left over). Checking in and out couldn't have been easier, and the host was extremely thoughtful.

Perfect Berkshires getaway!

This was the perfect house for a long weekend girls trip! Plenty of space to spread out and also a great gathering space for meals and late night chats. The house is truly adorable, with lots of thoughtful amenities for the guests. And it is close to many Berkshires attractions, including adorable downtown Lee. Nancy was a perfect host - very responsive and welcoming. I'd definitely stay here again!

The Freckled Hen is the best!!

Absolutely wonderful, one of the best VRBO experiences I’ve ever had! I’ve stayed in many Vrbo’s, this was just fantastic! Lovely, comfortable home and beautiful yard. Quiet, cozy neighborhood close to everything. Host was super responsive, home was so clean with everything you could want/need. Can’t wait to return!

Great weekend in Berkshire’s. 2 couples played golf went zip lining and had great meal at Zinc Restaurant in Lenox. Perfect for our weekend getaway. Great location quiet neighborhood and comfortable home. Well equipped kitchen and beautiful bath. Would stay again.

Great friends weekend

Nancy, our host was very accessible and had lots of great suggestions for activities, restaurants and music. Her home is nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. Beds were extremely comfortable with nice linens. Plenty of towels and bath amenities. Lovely backyard and gardens (it was super hot this past weekend) so only spent time outside late afternoon and early morning. House is fully air conditioned and has ceiling fans in bedrooms. We had a great stay! Thank you!

Best Host Ever

My family moved to the Berkshires when I was in high school. I have the fondest memories of all four seasons in the Berkshires and it's where I raised my children. There's no place like it in the world. Former volunteer and advocate of the beautiful and inspiring Berkshire Botanical Garden not far from my home.
