Lorsque vous envisagez des vacances Ă  la montagne, c'est ça! Cette cabine confortable dans les bois est mignon comme un bouton. Pas trop grand, pas trop petit, isolĂ©, mais pas isolĂ© du tout! Il y a des boiseries partout, un foyer au gaz en pierre, un salon / cuisine / salle Ă  manger confortable, ainsi qu'une vĂ©randa avec un mur de fenĂȘtres donnant sur le bois. Profitez de la terrasse ensoleillĂ©e pendant la journĂ©e et dĂ©tendez-vous au coin du feu la nuit! Et mĂȘme s'il se sent isolĂ©, le chalet se trouve sur Sugar Mountain. Il est donc trĂšs pratique pour toutes les activitĂ©s, attractions et Ă©vĂ©nements.

Sugar Mountain Resort est Ă  quelques pas de ce condo, oĂč vous trouverez une patinoire extĂ©rieure, des tubes de neige, des tours en VTT et un parcours de golf complet. Loved the gas fireplace and the cozy sunroom! Had coffee in the recliner out there every morning for the sunrise! Fenced in area in the yard is great for dogs. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Had a great stay!

Great place to stay!

This is a great cabin for the price. Well worth it. Has a beautiful fireplace and sunroom is a very nice view of Sugar Mountain. If u come in the winter, just make sure you buy a big bag of ice melt for stairs and deck.

Relax Time

We loved this cabin. It has a great location if you want to visit nearby towns. It has a quiet neighborhood. The only thing is that they don’t have a big garbage can outside the cabin so you need to take the garbage to the main center which is about 3 miles away.

Deck is awful

Deck at property is very dangerous if you have kids or pets . Cannot believe they are renting this property with a deck like this. Also furniture on deck is awful, upstairs smells bad and downstairs smells like mold even though they are running a humidifier. Terrible property. Dogpoop on porch and bags of dog-pop left in yard.

Great location!

Overall the property was fabulous because of the location! First impression all seemed very clean but once settled we realized it hadn’t been perfectly cleaned. We also didn’t have an outside trash receptacle to put our trash in when leaving. We would’ve appreciated direction in which baseboard heat dial worked for which room and the fireplace did not work. More (clean) pots and pans would be appreciated for when not going out to eat. The sunroom was our favorite room!! Beautiful!

Loving setting, great location, basic home

The location and setting were beautiful. We spent most of our cabin time in a lovely sun room that overlooked the forest. Loved the gas fireplace. Laundry was a great convenience. Did not like the beds (dip in middle of queen beds) , only 4 towels for family of four. Poor carpets (stains). Not an onsite trash can...we had to drive over a mile away to dispose of daily trash.

Mts. Get away.

The only problem we had was with the digital door locks and getting in the house.. The two key boxes on the right and one on the left was a little confusing. But house keeping came out and explained how to get into the house. There is a faucet in the kitchen that is difficult to turn all the way off. It keeps leaking. Otherwise everything was great.

Convenient location with privacy

We enjoyed our stay. The price was reasonable for the accommodations. Must point out that this house has no air conditioning. The weather was nice so this was not the issue, parts of the house are very damp and musty smelling. It took a couple of days to halfway air it out. The sun porch and the downstairs just had a maybe pet/damp smell that was somewhat strong. My kids did not want to sleep with the windows open. Otherwise the house was clean. We really spent most of our days hiking anyway. The downstairs bathroom is missing part of the flooring. No mountain views, but privacy to hang out on the deck.

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE IN THE SUMMER

The good: location, house was clean The very bad: This house has no A/C, which is really OK at this altitude, but this home also has a humidity problem in the basement - which means they need dehumidifiers. Apparently, before we arrived, there was a dehumidifier in the basement that overflowed and soaked the carpet at the base of the stairs - so much that the whole basement smelled musky and the smell came upstairs. With no AC, you couldn't be in the house overnight without opening the windows to both get a draft of cool air and get some of the musky smell out - so using the dehumidifiers with windows open was not an option that made any sense. It boggles my mind that the local Vacasa staff thought this home was OK to rent - this was our first and last time using vacasa for a vacation rental. To be fair, the vacasa staff did come out and look at it when we called, but there was really nothing they could do while we were there - this place should never have been rented in the state it was in.

Mix experience

Pros: Great location, the house was very clean. It was quite. Pet gates everywhere were very helpful and a small fenced area was great. Cons: As having no AC we found it was hot and stuffy upon arrival with some intence smell downstairs. The temos outside were comfortable so we thought it would not be an issue. We tried to open all the windows to get some air but it took few hours before it cooled down to some cofort level. The sunroom with the dining tavle has no windows to open so it remained pretty hot during the day. The main features that we were attracted were decks on the main and lower level. The main deck was locked with no access to it. The lower deck was dirty and full of debris and looked liked it wasn't cleaned up in a while. Frying pens had seen better days, and turned out to be unusable. It us a very small upgrade I would recommend to do so your tenants do not get frustrated. And the worse part: we contacted Vacasa immediately upon arrival by phone and the texts as Vacasa team were asking us how was everything upon our checking in. Thinking that those issue were easy fixes and if we address it in a timely manner everyone could be happy. We voiced all our concerns and were assured over the phone and via texts someone will be contacting us, come in and resolve it on Saturday morning. Well... nothing happened, no word, phone call, no follow up. It was the most disappointing part

Could be a great place but...

The location and size of this house are both great. The view out the back of the property is very serene and we loved having our coffee in the crisp morning air on the sun deck. This place could be really wonderful, but...overall, the house was in ok condition and is well overdue for a deep cleaning and some TLC. The is the first rental that we've ever stayed in that didn't feel truly clean (and we've stayed in many over the last 10 years). From the stained white carpet, bugs in the corners of the rooms and window sills, black mold surrounding the master bath/shower, to the cigarette butts and random items stored on the un-kept lower deck, it just didn't feel clean. The pillows all need to be replaced (yuck) and the lack of bath mats beyond the single motel-grade towel on the floor in the bathrooms made this property less than pleasant. There were a few cold nights, but we weren't confident in the cleanliness of the blankets in the closet to dare use them. There was no dumpster on site for the household trash, as other reviewers have mentioned (we looked everywhere and ended up taking our trash to town). We were there for a total of 7 nights, and luckily, there were only 2 of us staying because the overall lack of bathroom towels, decent bed pillows, and extra trash bags would be a real problem for a larger family. The electricity went off multiple times for many hours in the evening/middle of the night while we were there - I'm not sure of the cause, but since this happened in August, I would hate to think of no power on the colder winter nights. We are pretty easy going, so we made due and enjoyed our stay in the mountain air surrounded by the forests, but this is not a luxurious property and the lack of overall cleanliness and care of the property was very apparent. We will definitely consider staying at a different property for our future trips to the area.
