Le Morris House Apartment est un appartement privé et spacieux d'une chambre dans une belle maison victorienne construite en 1895 pour Thomas Morris. Morris a été le fondateur de l'Université de WI-La Crosse et lieutenant-gouverneur du Wisconsin. Nous sommes idéalement situés à seulement cinq minutes à pied de l'université et à dix minutes à pied d'un centre-ville prospère. Deux vélos sont disponibles pour explorer la ville, une cuisine entièrement équipée, un parking hors rue, deux entrées privées et un porche privé. Venez en profiter!

This well-kept apartment is a great choice for a stay in La Crosse. With a quiet back entrance and in easy walking distance to the center of town, it’s perfectly located. The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable and well-furnished. Bed is super comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. Everything was easy and prompt when communicating with Susan and Tan. Definitely recommend!

Charming apartment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this vrbo! The apartment was ina great location, close to downtown, yet quiet and private. The hosts were friendly and responsive. We felt right at home and look forward to returning in the future!

Love La Crosse

We stayed here during the weekend we moved our son into UWL. It is a perfect place for parents. Conveintly located close to campus with off street parking. I have always enjoyed the old large houses on Main street and this was finally an opportunity to stay in one. Great place! Will definitly stay again!

Parent Visit UWL

Perfect location to visit my student at UWL. Easy check in and fantastic location. It was clean and as described. I enjoyed the outdoor area during my June visit. Also it was quiet and I had a good nights sleep, I will stay here again.

Excellent accommodation

Comfortable space, comfortable bed and furniture, full kitchen, super clean bathroom, and amazing history of the 1895 house. Be aware, there are steps to the entrance door and a flight of steps to the second floor.

Summer in LAX

Very nice place in a quiet neighborhood. Owners are awesome! Property is conveniently located close to UWL campus, hiking Grandad Bluff & downtown fun. All can’t be more more than 10 blocks.

Pleasant, clean, convenient

Really nice clean house and property. The lilacs in the backyard we could smell as soon as we parked in the convenient off street parking behind the house at our private entrance. Less than 10 minute drive to downtown ammenities. We had everything we needed. Well priced. Nice sheets, plenty of pillows, comfy bed. Quality soap, shampoo, lotion available and a nice hot shower. We would love to stay here again when we make it back to La Crosse.

Lacrosse Anniversary Celebration

We would definitely stay there again. We met at UW-L and got married in 1982. We were within walking distance of campus,explored downtown and the LaCrosse Queen, ate at Howies, hiked Grandads Bluff and more. It was so much fun to reconnect with our UW-L past. We bought some New Glarus beer and put it in the fridge which we forgot when we left. We got a call from our host while we were eating breakfast to let us know we had forgotten to take it. Thank You!!!!! Since we are from Minnesota we can’t buy it where we live. Thanks again for the call!!!The Morris House is a wonderful place to stay! Check it out

A Special Home Away from Home

This was our second time staying at the Morris house. It was a hot June weekend, so we appreciated the comfortable bed and room air conditioner in our bedroom. The apartment was a welcome respite after several outings in the heat. We made coffee in the mornings, and we grilled steak in the outdoor grill on Saturday night. Love that there is a fridge, freezer and other regular kitchen appliances. We had done a little grocery shopping, but we forgot to buy butter, so I think we will adjust our grocery list to include milk and butter next time. It was nice that there were ice cube trays in the freezer. The place is decorated so cute that is feels like a special home away from home. We liked that we could park behind the house which was closest to our entry door. We will definitely be back.

Adorable Upstairs Apartment In Beautiful Neighborhood

We were attracted to this property because it offered a private entrance and a kitchenette. We were trepidatious about traveling during the Coronovirus pandemic, but this facility was clean and allowed us to cook our own meals. The unit is up a flight of steep stairs, so this would not be a fit for someone who cannot do stairs. The unit is in a very well kept neighborhood in La Crosse, Wisconsin. We visited in August and walked the neighborhood. The neighboring homes were older, well kept and charming. Many home owners in the area had planted flowers near the walk ways, and we could enjoy a great variety of colorful blooms. It was a hot time of summer, so we appreciated how cool the apartment was with its air conditioning units. Coffee maker and toaster worked well. We cooked a bit on the stove, and the owner lit a fire in the back yard wood barbeque area two nights, so we could grill our meats. Our hosts were very accommodating, and they were usually present as they live in the main part of the house. We used the out door area in the back yard each evening during our stay, and we stayed 3 nights. We plan to stay again when we go to La Crosse in the future, and we would reccommend it to others.

Parent’s Weekend - Great Location

Perfect apartment and location for visiting during Parents Weekend. We were right down the street from our son! Susan and Tan have a lovely space for guests and provided lovely touches throughout the apartment.

Tan and Susan have been a part of the La Crosse community since early childhood. While their love of travel has taken them around the world, they prefer to keep "home base" in La Crosse, in their beautiful Victorian they have owned since 1995. Tan and Susan are both retired and are active in Rotary International and other local volunteer opportunities. Tân travels back to his homeland of Vietnam often. Susan enjoys traveling to new countries often volunteering abroad.

The house was originally built in 1895 for the Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin, Thomas Morris, his wife and 10 children. The residential neighborhood is convenient to the university and also a thriving downtown area, with unique shops, breweries and the Mississippi River. The Morris Apartment is on the second floor and has two entrances completely separated from the main house. A pleasant screened in porch with seating area is on the side entrance.
