La villa - sur un ancien domaine - est idĂ©alement situĂ©e dans les collines verdoyantes de Torre, entre Lucques (6 km) et la cĂŽte (avec les plages de sable de la Versilia, les boutiques et la vie nocturne de Forte dei Marmi et les galeries d'art de Pietrasanta). Il vient d'ĂȘtre restaurĂ© avec intĂ©gritĂ©: sols carrelĂ©s en terre cuite antique, poutres apparentes au plafond et est bien meublĂ© dans un style rustique. Au rez-de-chaussĂ©e, il y a un grand salon d'entrĂ©e, une cuisine spacieuse de style rustique avec tout le confort moderne, un cellier et une salle de bains avec douche. Simply awesome, great historic house renovated with very much care, good location near Lucca (but you really need a car) and extremely friendly and caring owner. Totally satisfied. My only criticism is that Fewo-direkt had technical problems regarding the payment and reservation. I had to talk to the support several times, that was really annoying and timeconsuming.

Quiet haven on the mountain.....

The owners of this property are charming and very helpful. They have maintained the house in a very rustic fashion but still with comfort. It is a wonderful spot to return to after a day in Lucca and all the surrounding villages. The views are wonderful and the silence is so relaxing . The gardens are lovely...would not hesitate to return

We spent wonderful days in Ilide's tastefully furnished Tuscan house. The location is wonderful as a starting point for day trips to the sea or other Tuscan cities. Ilide's tips on restaurants, horseback riding and fishing were also very helpful. Thank you for everything!

A beautifully presented property, with all modern conveniences yet true to its historic character and very tastefully furnished and decorated. Ilide was a most attentive and helpful host, providing suggestions for activities and places to visit that we would not have been aware of otherwise. We will definitely return.

Beautiful place

This is such a nice place to stay. Peaceful and rustic, a really authentic Tuscan house. Ilide and Antonio are such nice people and a great help to you. Even though it was cool and raining some it was still great. The garden is really beautiful. Lucca is really special town, and you are close to the Ligurian seaside as well. I recommend it to anyone. We can't wait to go back.

Wonderful Tuscan experience

We stayed a week in this wonderful property. It consists of an original medieval house, with a 'new' section remodeled 400 years ago. Staying here is as close as you can get to a time once forgotten, by the countryside, where the wine grows, nature abounds and locals become friends. Illide, the property owner, is very nice and attentive. Highly recommended for the romantic couple or family looking for a true Tuscan experience.

Really lovely location in the hills. House has been renovated to a high standard. Lovely place to spend days at home in the garden, having a barbecue and relaxing but also convenient for daytrips to Lucca or the beach. The family were really welcoming and helpful and sorted out the WiFi efficiently. The house doesn’t have an oven - so if you want to do lots of cooking then not ideal. Has dishwasher and all other mod cons though. Overall a great place to stay.

Idyllic

The house and location are both beautiful - one of the most beautiful places ive stayed. Also incredobly peaceful - the loudest noiise waa bird song. Its an old house and therefore you have to be comfortable about that - the wifi wasnt always strong and not all my adaptors fitted the plugs - you need adaptors with thin prongs not the thicker ones. But i would love to go again.

Highlight of My 3 Week Trip to Italy

My family spent 4 nights in this lovely, rustic, charming adorable mountain retreat a few miles outside of Lucca that turned out to be the gem of our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed this warm home and our host couldn’t have been more accommodating without being meddlesome. The property is ideal to feel relaxed and immersed in Italian culture, and a scenic, easy drive into Lucca, which itself is amazing and very enjoyable. From Lucca, we completed several day trips. Each evening it felt wonderful to come home to our home away from away. I could’ve stayed there for another week or two and left the crowded cities, cramped hotels, over-priced resturant’s and played out touristy places for this lovely hideaway any day! A little difficult to locate (definitely need GPS on your phone or car) but great place and value! Recommend it whole heartedly.

Two weeks at Torre with my husband and friends.

The house, which I would consider more of a farmhouse than a "villa," is charming in a minimalist and tasteful way. The view from the front of the house, where there are chairs to sit and enjoy it, is beautiful and peaceful. And our hosts, Ilide and Antonio were the best! Always immediately responsive to any questions or concerns. We were all over 70 and found the steep steps. to the second floor a little problematic at first, although we adjusted. We were also a little disappointed in the remoteness of the location and the long, single lane, twisty road to get there. Lucca was fairly simple to get into, although taking day trips elsewhere meant having to ge through heavy Lucca traffic.

The positives: - the beautiful view - the experience of a traditional land Tuscany house - close to Lucca and beautiful beaches The negatives: - the most annoying thing was the reconstruction noise from the neighbour house, appearing from early hours (ca from 7:30) - during the night we were disturbed by woodworms noise - the ground floor of the house is wet, even in July (it improved after one week of open windows...on our leaving day) - both ground floor and first floor rooms are quite dark, which is not visible from house photos (the pics of the premises were made with lights on) - steep stairs to the first floor Summary: The house is not suitable for guests, who prefer a comfort accommodation during a Tuscany holiday. A quite bad "cost - benefit ratio", according to our experience from another house that we rented next week of our Tuscany stay. We required a discount for the inconveniences (reconstruction) and it was provided only in the amount of "costs for gas for heating" (despite we did not heat at all).

Das Haus ist wunderschön, sehr gepflegt und sauber. Man merkt die Geschichte in dem Haus und wie e mit Liebe restauriert wurde. FĂŒr alle die Ruhe und Erholung suchen super. Zum Strand sind es zwar „nur“ 20 km aber man braucht 37 Minuten. Einziger Abzug, es ist in den Schlafzimmern sehr heiß nachts, was mit Kindern nicht sehr angenehm ist.

Toscana im Mai

Wir, zwei Rentnerpaare, haben uns in diesem wunderschön und liebevoll eingerichteten Haus sehr wohlgefĂŒhlt. Uns gefiel sehr, dass in diesem Haus viele uralte Elemente, wie z.B. das beeindruckende DachgebĂ€lk, die antiken Bodenfliesen, die Gestaltung der KĂŒche und BĂ€der, die steile Treppe mit den unregelmĂ€ĂŸigen Stufen erhalten worden sind und damit ein ursprĂŒngliches Flair, das in dieser Weise wohl selten zu finden ist. In dem zauberhaften Garten gibt es sowohl Sonnen- als auch SchattenplĂ€tze, wo wir in Ruhe und Stille die schöne Umgebung genießen konnten. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend von der Gastgeberin begrĂŒĂŸt, konnten sie jederzeit erreichen und uns gut mit ihr auf Englisch verstĂ€ndigen.Die zwei BĂ€der waren ideal fĂŒr uns, die KĂŒche mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen war das WLAN, das leider immer wieder den Geist aufgab - bei sehr oft nicht vorhandenem Handy-Empfang eine gute Gelegenheit zum Medienfasten....:)Herzlichen Dank an Ilide und Familie fĂŒr die schöne Zeit!

Lucca comic's 2024

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa casa per 5 giorni durante il Lucca Comic's. Abitazione molto bella e ben curata. La casa Ăš dotata di tutti i confort tranne che il forno. C'Ăš stato qualche problema con la wifi, ma la proprietaria, tra l'altro persona gentilissima e molto disponibile, non ci ha fatto pagare le spese del gas per compensare con l'accaduto. La posizione Ăš leggermente isolata ma facilmente raggiungibile. Consigliata.

Charmante maison proche de la nature et de la ville

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent sĂ©jour dans cette magnifique maison Ă  la fois rustique et Ă©lĂ©gante parfaitement conforme Ă  l'annonce et aux photos. Le contact avec la propriĂ©taire Ă©tait excellent. Les lits sont confortables ainsi que les rangements. Les moustiquaires de fenĂȘtre permettent d'ĂȘtre tout Ă  fait serein lorsqu'il fait chaud. La table de cuisine est trĂšs conviviale. Le calme, la vue sur les collines et le jardin trĂšs soignĂ© sont parfaitement ressourçant pour des vacances. L'emplacement est parfait pour profiter Ă  la fois des villes (Lucca, Pistoia, Pise et Florence Ă  1h de route), du parc naturel des Alpes Alpuanes ou de la mer... Si vous aimez la nature, l'Ă©lĂ©gance et la simplicitĂ©, nous vous recommandons cette maison et son cadre enchanteur, ce qui est de mon point de vue difficile Ă  trouver sur le marchĂ© de la location...

Excellent stay

We stayed on the house for a week with the family and had a wonderful time. The house is in a quiet location and an excellent base to visit Lucca, Florence, the beach and go hiking. The old house has character and there is a nice garden (we woke up from the sound of a group of wild boars eating the hazelnuts at night!). Ilide is a very helpful and responsive host.

Country House

Upon arrival we were greeted by our lovely host Ilide who explained everything thoroughly to us regarding the property. The house is in an ideal location, with lovely views over the hillside and a short 15 minute drive from Lucca. I have given 4 stars for location only due to the small parking space at the property which is quite steep, this would have been fine for a smaller car (our car is quite large). I believe there was also some parking available in the adjacent olive grove. The property is very clean and extremely well equipped with plenty of storage in each of the bedrooms however, no hanging space. We were aware from previous reviews that the stairs were extremely steep which we found fine however, some people with mobility issues may find these difficult but as this is a very old house it is only to be expected. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the property.
