Ce n’est pas seulement un bon point sur le lac Norman, mais sur une île de trois milles - une péninsule, c’est un endroit où vous pouvez entendre la nature parler et vous entendre penser. Les couchers de soleil de CAUSEWAY, à quelques mètres de la route calme, sont spectaculaires. Étant sur le canal principal, il offre une eau profonde et des vues à couper le souffle. Profitez de votre café du matin sur le pont qui est souvent un lieu d'atterrissage pour les hérons. Bien que niché sur cette île paisible, vous n'êtes qu'à quelques kilomètres du quartier commerçant de Mooresville où se trouvent des centaines de restaurants, cinémas, musique, danse et tout ce que vous désirez. La belle ville de Charlotte est à seulement 30 miles (30 miles) donc vous obtenez le meilleur des mondes. Kiser Island est à seulement six miles de l'I-77. Il est également à seulement 1 heure et demie des montagnes Smokey et de la charmante ville d’Asheville.
Il y a un appartement au niveau supérieur avec un lit king size, une salle de bain complète, un salon, une kitchenette et une terrasse privée d'où vous pourrez profiter d'une vue spectaculaire sur le lac. Il y a aussi un appartement d'une chambre au niveau inférieur avec cuisine complète et salle de bain, lit queen, salon et à quelques pas du quai. Il y a aussi des barbecues au gaz et au charbon de bois sur le patio arrière.
Un canoë et deux kayaks sont disponibles moyennant des frais de location minimes.
La télévision, Internet et les services publics sont inclus. Les draps et les serviettes sont fournis. Il y a une buanderie. Vous êtes priés d'apporter vos propres articles de toilette et produits en papier.
Cela peut seulement accueillir un individu ou un couple et n'est pas une maison de fête, car il offre une sérénité pour ceux qui cherchent du réconfort pour un week-end, une semaine, un mois ou plus.

Great location on Lake Norman

Owner is very nice and accommodating. We had everything we needed and a great view. Loved the dock and swimming in the lake. New patio we ate all our meals outside.

Quiet retreat

While it is true that the accommodations are slightly dated, the 2 bedroom upstairs apartment was perfect for my husband and I and our three young girls. There were other people staying in the units downstairs so we had to share the dock at times but everyone was kind and it was not awkward as we were mostly out on the water. The sandy area was great for the kids to play and skip rocks and they enjoyed jumping off the dock steps into the lake. Edie was present on the property, very kind, and available to answer questions.

Truly peaceful getaway

I have to say after years of making bookings thru vrbo, it was nice to see an actual "rental by owner". Edie was the absolute best! The 2BR apartment was super nice and quiet. Furnishings were well thought out with a personal touch. The furniture was super comfy. The beds were even actually comfortable. There was a completely private entrance so no worry of bothering anyone while coming or going. The lake provided much needed fishing time for my guys. The apartment was close enough to town to be convenient but still out enough to be perfectly peaceful. We were even greeted by and provided guided escort to the dock by Edie's sweet little kitties. I just can't say enough about Edie and her rental. It really did feel like home away from home.

Worst VRBO Experience

First...Edie (the owner) is very nice and sweet but too much this place is obviously to much to handle. Everything outside was a cluttered mess and dirty. The pictures on VRBO show the entire house and we booked part of it (downstairs) as a two bedroom. Normally...with VRBO, we arrive, put in a code, we get to enjoy the place. Here...we are met at the door by owner (fine...but having them hover over you...not fine). Nothing clean outside. It was just the back of house with a sliding glass door and one bedroom. It matched the outside..cluttered. I just checked again and not one picture of this room on VRBO. My wife "Lets just pretend we are camping". If your OK with that...it was cheap. Place has a lot of potential but just needs alot more work to keep it up and some more truthful advertising.

SHE REQUESTED I CANCEL THE RESERVATION SO SHE WOULD NOT GET PENALIZE.

The host texted me on Saturday, Dec 2 and stated that the guest that were currently there she extended their stay. I was supposed to arrive on Monday Dec 4 and stay until Friday Dec 8, So I didn't get to go so really I would like to rank her zero stars, and since me and my friend had taken vacation time from work for the week, we ended up going to another location in the mountains. She even had the audacity to offer to help me get another place from a friend of hers that is very close to hers. It was a larger place and more expensive. She then requested I cancel the reservation and assured me that she would check the box that stated I would get a total refund. We discussed this for about 2 hours before she agreed that she would call, but when she did she acted like I wanted to cancel and she agreed, I called VRBO myself because at this point I did not know whether to trust her word about being refunded. The rep I spoke with explained everything in great detail which was the ONLY positive experience I had. She said she could see where the host had agreed to refund my money, so I went ahead and cancelled, this was a very stressful and horrible experience.

Weekend on the Lake

Had a wonderful time at Edie's upper floor rental. She was an incredible host, very easy to access, fun to chat with and completely accommodating! Beautiful, quiet property with great use of kayaks and a great place to swim!

A little slice of heaven

Edie's house on Lake Norman is a real gem. It is a great place to recharge the soul. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting the Charlotte area.

It wasn’t what we expected.

Rooms were not like pictures that we saw. Too much furniture and stuff in each room. Too many dusty fake flowers. One area was basically for storage. A/c was not working properly. Deck had a broken grill and lots of leaves.

Hi Cheryl, Many people come because of the privacy offerend by not just the lake, but the woods on both sides which means there are going to be leaves. They come with the tree?? Yikes!! As you know, there was a brand new, seven thousand dollar unit installed and the AC was working just fine, in fact you stated it was "too" cold. As you recall, it was very techie and I immediately had Accurite come out and transform it to manual to make it easier to set and adjust. The pix were different because the unit had serious "upgrades" and repeat guests love the changes. The carpeting was torn out and replaced with a brand new wood floor. The king bed was moved into the larger 30 foot bedroom which also now offers a sitting area/library with desk. The older sectional was replaced with a smaller loveseat and seating area. Because the unit often has four people I have more than two chairs in the living area, but there are only four? Unfortunately, a rental has to accommodate various needs and tastes and numbers of people. A brand new stove and a new refrigerator were also just put in which the old pictures did not have, and in fact for years there was only a hot plate! Seriously, it is so much more desirable. The unit is 1,000 square feet as advertised and yes, the additional 400 square feet over the garage is my personal storage area closed off and not sure that would be of concern to you? There have been hundreds of guests up there and people just respected my personal space as off limits. I did have real flowers and plants, but they would die as many of the guests did not want to be bothered with watering them which I understand. It is unfortunate that leaves falling from the trees etc. were a distraction of noticing what every realtor has said is one of the best views on the entire lake! And the peace and quite of the island and causeway connect one with nature, including those dang trees that shed their leaves!! Although we were not a good match, I do appreciate that you were respectful of the property during your stay.

What a location!

Edie was a delight. Rooms were small but very clean and included all of the things you needed to make meals, sit on the decks and enjoy the lake. Really enjoyed my time.

lake get away

host was nice and kind. property was not what I expected and was cluttered with too much stuff for my preference. Lake Norman is beautiful and we did enjoy our visit.

Thank you, Barbara, for stating your decorating preference which gave me the opportunity to remove the plants and flowers to better accommodate and make things comfortable for you. I did not remove the scultpures due to their weight, but honestly, I don't think a couple head scultpures in 1000 square foot apartment is excessive and although not a Picasso, they are quality art. I do understand that some people prefer a sparse, empty room look but it is impossible to redecorate to each guest's taste when only here for a few days. Some love the memory foam on the bed, but some have taken it off! The pictures are accurate, but only better than the pictures as a new stove has been added and the second bedroom is now almost 500 square feet and has a quiet sitting area/library with a cafe table set so two complete apartments within the apartment. While the plants are sculptures are not to your liking, it is your preference and certainly not clutter, but quality art. And, I did immediately remove all per your request. I do bend over backwards to keep all happy and with varying needs, that can be a bit of a challenge, but I try!!
