Rustic Country farmhouse on 2 acres close to several lakes.

Maple Shade Farm was my boyhood home over 50 years ago when my parents were looking for the ideal place to raise their growing family.
The farmhouse is ideal for family gatherings with several large yards for lawn games, a large South facing patio for those who want to enjoy the morning sunshine, a large deck that is sheltered by Maple Shade nearly all day, and plenty of grass areas for the children to play in.
As you enter the home from the deck, you will notice the warm lighting in the large family room with repurposed barn beams supporting the structure. The handcrafted fireplace will warm the coolest nights and features a white tail deer mount.
The country kitchen has a beautiful gas stove and oven, a built-in microwave and a full sized refrigerator.
The dining room features a large family table with benches that can seat up to 10 people and a hutch for serving.
The living room has a large country sofa and a handmade cherry coffee table and a gas stove for cozy extra warmth.
The master bedroom features a large 4 post queen sized bed with a closet and 2 dressers.
The 2 upstairs bedrooms each have a closet, dressers and one has a queen bed and the other has a king bed.
There is a loft over the family room that has a full size bed with space for the inflatable queen mattress also. This makes the loft a favorite hangout for the teens.
We have made so many memories at this property and I hope you will come and make some more of your own.

Peaceful and Relaxing wonderful place to make memories

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this rural farm house. The property is beautiful outside and has a nice peaceful atmosphere. Kitchen was very well equipped for family meals and had a lot of fun roasting s’mores over the fire pit :)

I had my wedding and reception here. It was a small outside gathering, however, it was perfect. The property is gorgeous and quiet. Another plus it was so much cheaper than a venue and we had it for the weekend. I highly recommend for anyone whether its a stay or a small gathering!!!

Great little farmhouse

The farmhouse was a great little sleeping spot for us while we were in Indiana for a family reunion. It was clean and comfortable. The only thing I missed was that there isn’t a hot tub as the description suggests. Bob the owner is a great guy!

Family Stay for weekend wedding

We had a great weekend at Maple Shade Farm. Our family stayed here to attend a weekend wedding at nearby Lake Wawasee. Property was as listed and met our expectations. The outdoor patio and chimenea was very enjoyable for our evenings/nights. The lightening bugs put on a beautiful how for us too.

Charming home on beautiful property

We loved our stay! The house was clean, spacious, and rambling. We enjoyed sitting together and talking, playing games, and cooking with our friends. Our host, Bob, was so friendly and accommodating. Maple Shade Farm Retreat!

Words cannot express how much I loved staying at Maple Shade Farm! It was wonderful to make lasting memories with all of my family in the area. We had mini reunions the 2 weeks we stayed at MSF! The vast space in the house made it comfortable to spread out my genealogy as I researched. It was incredible to host dinners, lunches and have good old-fashion sit down chats. I loved the farm, family visits and fun, during our stay. I hope to return and stay here again soon! Bob was an excellent VRBO host!

Rustic Family Wedding Weekend

Bob had great communication and a well equipped home full of history. It is an old farm house though so if a few random bugs and cobwebs bother you keep looking. It suited all of our needs the only thing missing was some skewers for marshmallow s'mores! Would stay again if I was in the area.
