Great Place To Stay
It was a cozy place to stay and my family really enjoyed it. Close to the city, we were able to enjoy a nice breakfast and lunch not too far away. Definitely would stay here again on our next time to Lake Tahoe.

We loved this cabin! It's actually bigger than the photos. Inside was very comfortable, well supplied, the rooms were nice and beds very comfortable! Communication was great and owners were very easy to work with! Cabin is also in a quiet neighborhood and not right next to another cabin-a plus! It was very relaxing and peaceful-we loved it!

Great home for weekend in Tahoe
The home had everything we needed. Nice neighborhood close to Homewood and Sugar Pine Park. The kids and dog had a blast playing in the snow at the house. Roberta was easy to communicate with and let us extend out checkout so we could get in an extra morning on the mountain.

The perfect place to relax
We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The house was cozy and just right for the 6 of us. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, which was huge because we cooked every meal there during our 7 day stay. The spacious yard around the house was great so that our 2 black labs could play and run a bit. And the close proximity to the lake and to lots of hiking, XC skiing and snowshoeing made our stay just right!

Peace and quiet
While the rest of Tahoe was buzzing with visitors, the Tahoma neighborhood was peaceful and welcoming. There are trails nearby, lovely neighbors, even a friendly little bear to keep things interesting. We loved the cabin and even our doggie made friends. Thank you for having us. Highly recommended for a quiet family vacation that’s close enough to activities yet also serene and beautiful.

Hi Mia, Oh, I am happy you saw our little bear. I saw him on June 30, the last night that I was there, and filmed him for several minutes from our back deck hunting for ants in a log he pulled of a stack of logs in the neighbor's yard. I have captured him on video from the security cam once since then.
Thanks for the nice review. I love our cabin and our location!

Older but comfortable
The description of the property was very accurate. It was older property but provided a comfortable environment for family. very well stocked with anything you might need. The back deck wasn’t really useable for meals or entertaining as there was no furniture but it was great for the dog to have an outdoor area that was fenced in. The owner was very detailed in communications and provided all info needed.

House equipped with all essentials & close to Lake Tahoe. Nice 2.5 mile hike to Meeks Bay Resort to visit family. Coffee shop, pub, burger joint, & post office 5-10 minute walk. Groceries near by but take your own bags…10 cents each. Only tried the coffee & it was good. Home definitely in need of some upgrades. The beds were comfortable, the couch was not. I will address details with owner. All in all, an enjoyable stay & great memories with my family. Thank you for making your home available.

Spacious and Convenient
Cabin was larger than what we expected! Very spacious and would have been comfortable for 6 people, but it was just the two of us. Conveniently located just inside Tahoma. Quiet neighborhood, and close to hiking trails, beaches and state parks. We hiked eagle lake and granite lake/maggies peak trails in one day. These popular hikes were about a 8-10 min drive from the cabin. On our third day we rented a kayak out of Sugar Pine Point State Park and paddled to Meeks Bay and back. We took our pup swimming at rocky dog beach area of Meeks Bay twice and she loved it. Meeks bay is about 6 minutes from the cabin.
The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed to cook meals most nights. Our last night we ordered pizza from West Shore Pizza, which was great. You can actually walk there from the cabin.
We had a great stay and would love to come back again, maybe for a winter trip since ski resorts are also close by!

A comfortable place with everything you need
This cozy cabin is well-equipped like a primary home would be and it is located in a quiet Tahoe neighborhood not far from the lake. It is centered on a big wooded lot so there is space between it and neighbors on all sides. It worked well for my elderly mom. I appreciated the warm sun on the outdoor picnic table in the morning. One night I startled a couple of bears (and they startled me!) as they ran through through the property when I happened to be outside. We checked each other out and then we all moved on :) We would look forward to staying here again.

This is a mellow property in a quiet and charming part of Tahoe (west shore). We found the local activities pretty relaxing (summer visit). We also loved the suggested activities by our host Roberta. Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
We purchased our cabin in 1979 because we loved to ski, and soon discovered that Tahoe is wonderful in every season! We are very attached to our little neighborhood and lived at Tahoe between years in San Francisco and Idaho.
We love the West Shore. We enjoy the sense of community and knowing our Tahoma neighbors. We can walk to cross-country tracks in Sugar Pine Point State Park as well as to Pine Lodge and the beach there. We like the stream profile at Taylor Creek and the beaches at D.L. Bliss State Park, Kiva Beach, Baldwin Beach, Pope Beach, and Chambers Landing. The Vikingsholm at the end of Emerald Bay and Valhalla are also favorites.
Winter gives us a wonderland of snow with lots of area for play. In the spring, our yard near Oak Street blooms with many wild flowers. In summer, our own community park is a great spot to have a picnic while the kids enjoy the playground equipment, or listen to one of our local bands play a concert at the outdoor stage. It is wonderful to be within walking distance of the lake, a grocery store and deli, a few restaurants, the post office, a gelato and espresso place, and a state park. Nearby, is a short hike to the top of Eagle Rock for a bird's eye view of the lake. One can attend the summer festivals, winter's Snowfest, drive around Emerald Bay, poke around the Vikingsholm and Valhalla, check out the salmon in the stream profile at Taylor Creek, take a nature walk at DL Bliss State Park, hike up to the tarns above Emerald Bay, horseback ride in Alpine Meadows or Camp Richardson, visit the hot springs in Nevada, enjoy the quiet fall season as the Aspen trees turn, explore near-by towns of Reno, Virginia City, Pyramid Lake, Tahoe City and Truckee, and enjoy great snow skiing with fabulous lake views and fun Apres Ski events. Above all, enjoy the beauty and peacefulness of the lake and the mountains!
Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
Our cabin sits on a parcel of 4 lots covering a bit over ½ acre, surrounded by open forest space. We have a great collection of literature about Tahoe: the birds, the trees, the flowers, wildflower hikes, trails, dog beaches and parks. Also, books about Tahoe's colorful history, and tall tales about the lake and its former inhabitants. There are several spots to curl up with a book and good lighting to read!
You'll notice the influence of my Norwegian, Swedish and Swiss heritage in our library as well as the decor. Our wood-burning stove provides warmth and ambiance. The open living-dining-kitchen area makes hosting easy. Our bedrooms accommodate a variety of families.
We welcome families with young children, and have a crib, potty seat, foot stools, kid-size chairs, a high chair, children's games, lots of bedtime story books and a library of Disney movies and other beloved classic movies for kids to watch on the wide screen TV in the back bedroom, or the living room.
Our kitchen is separated from the living area by an island, which makes it easy for the cook and chat with the other occupants...or get them involved with the kitchen. It is well equipped with many appliances, cake pans and pie plates, a cupboard of cook books, and all sizes of pots and pans.
Our decks on three sides extend living space into the outdoors. I love the wonderful smell of the forest, the lovely summer temperatures, our yard with Incense Cedars, Jeffrey, Sugar, and Lodge Pole Pines, White and Red Firs and Alders. We find Ponderosa Pines on the easy walk to Sugar Pine Point State Park along the quiet West Shore. We can pick up the Sunday paper at the Tahoma Market, eat breakfast on the front deck while watching the world go by, walk our dog in the neighborhood and chat with our neighbors, watch old movies, invite friends over to visit while we're in town, or enjoy the quiet of the forest in the winter while skiing from the cabin door to the x-c tracks at Sugar Pine.
