Brilliant and Smashing Stay!!!

Our stay at Lakeview was as amazing as we could have hoped! Insane lakeside property with incredible views. Very neat, clean house that was stocked with everything we could have imagined. Fast and easy communication with Steven. Highly recommend this property and our family will absolutely return!

Ski getaway

Fully stocked and spacious house. Wood stove and hot tub a plus! 4WD or all wheel drive definitely needed for driveway in the wintertime. Overall a wonderful stay and beautiful location on the lake and close to ski venues!

Great Summer Getaway

Great place right by the lake for a summer weekend getaway. The house is well equipped and clean with amazing views of the lake. The lake is great for swimming and canoeing. We all had a great time!

Loved it!

Huge space, very clean and comfortable. We skied at Jay but the place is also very to Stowe. We would stay again - it seems like a fantastic spot for the summer months as well.

Great Lake Stay!

Everything we could want in a lake vacation. Right on a beautiful lake with plenty of access and activities. House had plenty of space for our group with all the things needed to house and feed a group of 7. Thanks for everything!

Nice getaway in Vermont

Clean, well equipped home on a beautiful lake. The property is accurately described. We had a nice relaxing stay. Somewhat remote location. Stowe as a 20+ mile drive but the scenery along the way was nice.

Relaxation at it’s best……

We had a great time at the lake view manor. It’s in a great location, very quiet. The house was very clean, well equipped and all the furniture and bedding were very comfortable. It was great canoeing during the day and relaxing in the hot tub at night. Steve was a great host and very accommodating. We would highly recommend.

A Yearly Tradition

This is the second year in a row that we've stayed at Steve's place (and we plan to stay again next year!). The house is super cozy, you feel right at home when you walk in. We loved having access to the hot tub, it came in handy after two long days of skiing (great location for all of the ski bums out there). Even with a large group, everyone was able to spread out and have their own space. We absolutely love it here!

Wonderful and Peaceful.

Our stay at Steve’s beautiful home was perfect. Steve thought of everything to make for a wonderful stay. Check-in was a breeze, and the directions provided helped tremendously. The home is very well thought out. You honestly feel like you’re staying at a friend’s home versus a rental. So cozy and so welcoming. The property itself is a treat. The outdoor lights set a beautiful ambiance for the hot tub, which was amazing. It’s also situated on a private road so very quiet. We had our pups with us and normally they are more alert in new surroundings but slept like babies. Honestly, I cannot recommend Steve’s property enough and we hope y to revisit one day soon. Thank you, Steve, for sharing your beautiful home. We loved it.

Winter Ski Trip

We chose this location for our ski trip as we wanted to go to multiple mountains. This location was roughly centered for trips to Jay, Stowe and Bolton. There are other mountains nearby too. The house was exactly as how it was described. Hot tub on the back deck to view out to the lake was great after a long day on the mountain, especially with the view of the snow covered lake. Steve was quick to respond to anything I asked(which was very minimal). Loved the wireless charging pads in the living room for your phone. Great touch! Would certainly stay here again!

Home is Unclean; has Mice and Mold. Not as Represented. One Bedroom Unusable. Otherwise nice spot.

We booked this house for a short trip with my extended family. Unfortunately, the property was in poor shape when we arrived. The basement bedroom was unusable due to the musky mold smell. Cob webs, dust, and greasy surfaces were everywhere. And to add to this- there were mice in the main living area (which were apparently being mitigated). The stay put a real damper on an otherwise great trip experience- which is a shame because we needed a larger property and paid a premium price for this house. If you are looking to spend time outside, then house may be a good fit, but if you plan to be indoors, I hope it is renovated and/or deep cleaned and mold mitigated before you visit. I documented everything we experienced with photos and sent them to the owner. I requested a fair partial refund (reimbursement of the cleaning fee and the amount of value for the unusable room) and he offered me $100. Owner communication was civil up until he realized I was expecting a refund, then he accused me of lying about my complaints. Apparently, the owner was more concerned about the investments he had made into the property then combating us in a clean, safe space. Also, the Starlink is not particularly fast nor well configured. It drops your connection often. I had trouble on my laptop and several handheld devices. I suggest booking elsewhere when staying in the lovely state of Vermont. * If you want to read the entire correspondence and view photos, search 'Lakeview Manor Eden review' with your favorite search engine for more details.

There’s always one in the group and that would be Chad. I don’t know him personally and he’s probably a nice guy so I’m not going to judge him. But I do know that his standards are very high and I didn’t appreciate him accused me of things I didn’t do like trying to cover up things that were wrong with the house and said I called him a layer. Chad, if you look back in all the conversations we exchanged, I never once called you a liar!!!! Show me were I said that. Everything you said and documented with your barrage of pictures is true and I took note of them all but thought they were way over exaggerated. I have a great deal of confidence in my cleaning crew and know that the house is clean and a safe environment for my guests. I’m sorry that your sense of smell is so sensitive, there’s not much I can do about that. I have well over 200 reviews on VRBO and the other major home rental platform. I welcome you to check out the other reviews on my home and you will find there is not a single bad review, not one! Chad is the only one which tells me a lot about his higher standards. If Clad has asked to rent your place, please be sure that it’s spotless and if any imperfections are found, expect to get a white glove inspection and be prepared for him to asked for a refund. I would not recommend Chad and his group to stay at your home!!!!

Quiet winter get away

Great spot for a retreat. The property has everything you need and is away from it all but close enough to busier areas. We spent a day on the slopes Jay Peak, and visited a few spots in Stowe Village. Unfortunately not enough snow left for snowmobiling this time around, but trails are very accessible. Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Perfect Snowy Getaway

We previously looked at this property for a summer rental but it booked up so quickly (we now see why) that we missed our opportunity. When we decided to take a trip to VT for skiing, I remembered the deck with the hot tub and was thrilled when it was available. Steven was so easy to work with before, during, and after our stay. He was incredibly responsive to my many questions. Check in and out were very simple and low maintanence. We especially appreciated the 12 noon checkout that allowed us to use the hot tub one more time in the morning before we left. The house itself is quite large with spacious living and dining spaces. The living room is warm and comfortable with recliner chairs and couches and a wood stove. We cooked most nights and found everything we needed in the small but efficient kitchen. The bedrooms are massive and nicely laid out for our group, which included my pre schooler and infant. After a long day skiing, the hot tub was absolutely the best! We would highly recommend this host and property to anyone looking for a home away from home on vacation.

Perfect Vermont Getaway

I cannot say enough great things about our stay. From the immaculately clean house to the incredibly breathtaking view, we were blown away. The house was absolutely beautiful. The photos do not do this place justice. Everything you can think of needing for a comfortable stay was there. We loved the hot tub too. If you are looking to stay at what I think is a luxury stay then this Eden paradise is the place for you ! Thank you for sharing your space with us :)

Great gathering place

What a great spot for meeting up with friends and enjoying a wintry holiday with family! It has everything we needed, including very comfy beds, plus a great hot tub and wood stove. We loved the easy access to Jay Peak and other fun activities. Steve was very responsive and great about communicating details, like the additional parking spot if the driveway is icy.

Exceeds Expectations

Awesome lake view on quiet dirt road. So quiet. Sound of Loons. Sunsets. House is bigger than it shows in the pics. Love the hot tub and all of the seating. Host is four aces!

Perfect Family Getaway

We didn’t want to leave! From the minute we arrived to the minute we walked out, everything was perfect. The property was exactly as pictured. Beautiful layout for a group of friends or a family - young or old, large or small! The owner quickly responded to all questions and was extremely generous with his home. Great outside seating areas and lake access. Would definitely recommend and hope to return in the future!

Great place for a quiet getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Lakeview. Beautiful little lake, a nice quiet house. There were only 4 of us, but the house easily sleeps 8 plus a crib. We spent time down at the private dock, and our kids took the paddle boat out on the lake. The hot tub was a nice plus on a cool evening after exploring. The home is very comfortable and clean. The furnishings and appliances are everything you would need. Overall we were very happy with the property. Only 1 drawback, and it’s probably a function of the location. The internet was pretty spotty. Unfortunately I had to do some work during our trip, and I couldn’t connect to my email at least half the time. Book with conference. You’ll enjoy a relaxing stay.

I lived in Coral Gables, Florida for 32 years, although I considers Vermont my home — Born and raised in Barre, VT.
I bought LakeView Manor to live in during the summer months.
I was a Systems Analyst Engineer with Gables Engineering (the company that designs and produces the control panels on Boeing Aircraft). I graduated from Spaulding High and Vermont Technical College. I love to travel in our RV and ride my Harley. I fly RC airplanes and three drones. Family and home are very important to us. We want you to feel at home while staying at LakeView Manor!
