Cabine confortable avec mise à l'eau privée sur le magnifique lac Howard

La cabine a été construite en 2003 et dispose de 2 chambres plus un loft. Chaque chambre a un lit queen et il y a deux lits queen dans le loft. Le salon principal a un canapé-lit double. Il y a une salle de bain avec douche à l'étage principal et une salle de bain avec baignoire dans le grenier. La buanderie est située hors de la cuisine.

Howard Lake est un lac magnifique et paisible avec une eau limpide de plus de 12 pieds et une profondeur maximale de 60 pieds. Vous pourrez utiliser une rampe de lancement privée sur la propriété.

La cabine est située à 10 minutes de Walker et à moins de 30 minutes de Park Rapids. Il y a de nombreux lacs dans la région dont vous pourrez profiter si vous le souhaitez. L'accÚs au sentier Paul Bunyan est proche pour le vélo, la motoneige, la randonnée, le ski de fond, etc. Il y a un sous-sol accessible de l'extérieur que les clients peuvent utiliser pour stocker des jouets et / ou du matériel.

Perfect spot!! We especially appreciated the extras like art supplies, firewood, games, water toys , towels and tupperware! The hosts responded immediately to our questions and they even arranged Perfect weather for us! 10 out of 10!

Amazing and Cozy

This place is perfect for a family. We have 4 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. I really loved how well organized and thought out every thing was in this house. Very well planned! They have soooo many card games, board games and puzzles. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. Private boat launch was very nice and easy to get our boat in and out. We got to watch the loon family with its babies every day. So many things great about this place and something for everyone.

Howard Lake

We loved the cabin- it was so cozy and well equipped! The lake was very quiet and peaceful during our week there. The grandkids had a great time fishing off the dock and we enjoyed morning paddles in the paddleboat and kayaks. It was a wonderful family vacation spot!

Beautiful!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was very comfortable for my grown sons and I. Very clean with considerate touches throughout! It was great to be close to the water with a nice area to swim or float. Lovely place.

Fun family get away spot

Nice cabin. Well stocked with kitchen items, linens. Boat access on site made it eaay. Nice beach area maintained and portion cleared of weeds around the docks so great for swimming. Nice lake. Not too crowded so made for good skiing, tubing.

Due to covid I ended up being the only person staying here. The cabin had everything I needed and was just as described by the owners. Nice and quiet this time of year.

Northern MN lake

Beautiful spot on Lake Howard with great views and multiple seating areas. Location was convenient between Walker and Park Rapids and near the Chippewa forest for walking. The home had everything we needed and was peaceful.

What a sweet week at the lake!

From our 2 year old grand-daughter, to her parents and 72 year old grand-parents, we all enjoyed this cabin on sweet Howard lake. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the lake was gorgeous. The available yard games and water toys in the basement, were also a pleasant surprise! Thanks for all you do to provide an enjoyable vacation spot. We had a wonderful time.

50th Anniversary Celebration

We rented this property to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. It was a wonderful experience! The cabin was extremely clean and well stocked with games and kitchen supplies. The lake was beautiful and there was plenty to do for the kids. It was located 10 minutes from Walker and not far from shops, gas stations and restaurants. It was a wonderful week and highly recommended for a family getaway.

Howard Lake fun!

We had a wonderful stay at the lovely property on Howard Lake. Dan and Kallie were great hosts. The property was very clean and comfortable. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. The loft is awesome, our grandkids loved it. We spent our days swimming, fishing, kayaking, boating and we ended our days sitting around the campfire. Serene Cabin

This cabin was amazing! It had plenty of room for each family member to have their own space. It was spacious, clean and beautiful. The homeowners really thought of everything! We enjoyed kayaking, swimming and taking the pedal boat out. The lake was pretty calm and we got to see a lot of wildlife. The property had everything you could think of, plus more. This property worked well for older members in our family (bedrooms, living space and bathrooms on main floor). We enjoyed shopping in Walker. We would stay in this cabin again for sure!

Wonderful autumn get away

My wife and I enjoyed the beautiful lake cabin in an scenic environment. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Close by Walker, and Park Rapids, Minnesota where there were lots for unique Northern Minnesota shops. The Loons on the lake were a wonderful touch for the environment of Howard Lake. We also observed several bald eagles catching fish and finding a good perch across the bay to enjoy their catch. We also saw six white tail deer as we traveled around the lake trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kallie and Dan's cabin, and hope to return to the area in the years to come

Wonderful stay!

The cabin and all it has to offer is wonderful. The beach, dock accessibility, and swimming area are hard to beat. We have stayed at different VRBO’s the last 4 summers and my family stated this one was the favorite so far!! The only very minor inconvenience was finding out 3 days beforehand that we needed to supply all of our own paper products including toilet paper. That would have been nice to know a little sooner as it required an extra trip to town that I hadn’t planned on and we live 12 miles from the nearest one! Overall though, that was very minor compared to everything this cabin had to offer!! You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed with some of our extended family and adult children that came and went throughout the week (9 total coming and going). The property is very well kept, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, etc. The loft worked great for our teenager and his friend. When we made the reservation we were concerned that the lake wouldn’t be big enough to fish, boat, tube, etc. However, throughout the week we caught ourselves saying the lake exceeded our expectations! The fishing was great! Beautiful property and lake! Owners were very responsive and we would go back again any time!

A Wonderful Time at the Lake!

We already knew how great Howard Lake is as I’ve been coming there my whole life. Lots of nature and not too many people. The cabin was wonderful and met all our needs. We had three kids (ages 2, 4, 6) and there was a wide variety of toys they never got tired of. Stairs are steep for the 2 year old, so we blocked off the top with a chair when we were up in the loft. Cabin was very clean and had a wide variety of dishes for anything you might want to cook. Also used the gas grill a few times and roasted hotdogs and s’mores at the campfire. The lake bottom is sandy on the north side of the dock and the kids enjoyed playing in this area. Would definitely come back again.

A+ Property with Everything You Need

We had a great week at Kallie and Dan’s property again. The cabin was so clean and full of everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable. The fishing was a bit to be desired but still provided two hard earned fish fries! The paddle boat and kayaks and bags game were used several times. The addition of the deck table since our last time here was a great addition. Coffee on the deck every morning and snacks when we came off the water. oh and a great place to see some amazing color on the water too. Communication with the owners was superb at all times. We didn’t need them during the stay but know that if we had it would have been quickly responded to. Thank you Kallie and Dan for a great week at a great property!

We mostly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The lake was wonderful, the cabin was clean and the boat launch very convenient. However, there were a few things that prevented me from giving this top rating. The tap water in the cabin smelled really bad. We bought bottled water to drink. Washing dishes and showering left you wondering if you were clean or not. It seemed to be a known issues given the large jug of vinegar in the laundry room. The loft was not very useable. I’m not sure how you could get a suitcase up the steep ladder. The cabin and deck were 15 feet or so off the gravel road. Lots of noise and dust, especially while trying to grill. I was disappointed there was no options recycling other than trash or hauling it myself to Walker.

Leaf Watching Perfection

Howard Lake hospitality

Very clean well kept and well equipped. Good internet and mostly connected cell service. Beautiful lake and access to it on property. Occasional power outages that were fixed quickly. Very convenient to both Walker and Akeley.
