L'ALMA Ranch est une propriété unique située sur le ranch Terlingua, à seulement 6 km du lodge Terlingua Ranch Lodge, du café Bad Rabbitt et de la piscine. Cette caravane est au-delà du confort et offre tout le confort de la maison, avec électricité, climatisation / chauffage et système septique (c’est-à-dire des toilettes jetables). La cuisine est entièrement équipée, y compris un grand réfrigérateur, une cuisinière, un micro-ondes et une cafetière. Nous fournissons de l’eau potable pour commencer et du café. Il est niché dans les montagnes et offre une vue à perte de vue. Le ciel nocturne est incroyable. Stars pour toujours.

The trailer seemed much older than in the pictures, but it suited our needs for the week as we went back and forth to Big Bend NP. The hostess was very responsive and checked on us as one of the nights/mornings were very cold. We enjoyed walking around the property with the cactus starting their blooms. The Milky Way and dark sky area was the main reason to reserve this property. Our daughters have been wanting to capture it since they were little and it did not disappoint. Thank you for the great memories!

A perfect getaway

It was a charming place and the views were magnificent. Perfect for a party of 4 and had pretty much everything we needed for our stay.

Great Big Bend stay with Big Sky!

Great property for a quick trip into Big Bend. Being out at night was the real treat - having the cafe nearby made dinner options easier when cooking wasn’t in the cards.

Nice spot to visit Big Bend

We stayed at 4 adults. Comfort is good enough, it had everything we needed. Location is good for visiting Big Bend, it still is a 45 minutes drive to reach the entrance of the park.

Glamping near Big Bend

Accurate listing, simple and was exactly what we needed. Great view of the stars on a clear night and close to Big Bend National Park. We would definitely look to stay here again

Centrally located!

Beautiful home very close to Sea World, the zoo, balboa park, La Jolla, grocery stores, and restaurants! The pool and hot tub are well maintained. The kitchen and bathrooms are up to date. If you want a quiet vacation and just want to hang around the house it’s perfect for that too! Bruce, the property manager, was very knowledgeable of the area and suggested restaurants and grocery stores. We tried 3 of the restaurants and they were all fantastic! Highly recommended!

Desert Haven

The Alma Ranch is a really nice, cozy trailer that has everything you need. We really liked the full kitchen and enjoyed having wifi and access to streaming services. I would recommend storing food away because, as you might expect, there are mice that sneak in at night. We did not actually see them, but they enjoyed our blackberry strudel when we were sleeping! Also, take super quick showers because the water is limited.

It locates very country side and I think it is ideal for star watching. I recommend to bring a lot of drinking water. The hotel is well maintained, but the amount of water is limited. No problem for electricity because power lines supply it. (Not solar panels) I surprised the Wifi speed was fast.

Very Basic Property

Nice. The non-potable water situation kind of bugged us after a while. If I put my toothbrush in my mouth after I rinse it in the water am I going to get sick, probably not but??? The place is as described. No water pressure in shower so it takes a long time to rinse. Hard to justify the price for such a basic stay.

Most places in Terlingua are on a water catchment system. It’s the way it is out here.

Two bedrooms, two mice!!!

Cozy but ok. We found two mice underneath the sink one dead one was still moving in the glue trap!!! The water was not drinkable and left and slimy residue on your hands and body!! Power went for a day also. We should have went three miles down the road!!!

We are so sorry you did not enjoy your stay. I will add that ALL of south Brewster County was without electricity for a day. We are in the desert, every property out here struggles with mice~

Pleasant Stay with Minor Inconveniences

We had a mixed feeling about our stay here. We stayed in Alma 2. The location was easy to find and the check in process was simple. This is 60 minutes away from Big Bend National Park entrance and 30 minutes away from Terlingua. The location was convenient to drive, and the stargazing views were exceptional. We were provided with blankets, shampoo, and towels.The only thing that went off was the cleanliness of the home. There were spider webs in the bathroom, the toilet seat was unclean, and the utensils were ripped off. They had provided non sticks pans, but the Teflon coating was scratched so didn't feel good while cooking food there. I hope you take this as a constructive feedback for improvement.
